I don't know if it's just my phone, but the standard medias players (music, gallery, videos) don't read my SD card. I'd tried CM7 and Iced Glacier. What is broke?

Stick the microSD in a card reader and copy the files to your PC. Reformatting the card and copy the files back in. The card might have been corrupted.
Can I just use my phone and do that? My comouter still reads it.

Yeah you can do that too. Then you can figure out if you have a bad card or even corrupted files.

Connect the phone to your computer and transfer it over...

Try moving the app to the phone if its on the SD card.
I haven't moved any app s to sd card as I don't think theres any need as I have sd ext partition of 1gb. And the rom uses this automatically.

Well, some apps should be on phone, even if you've got SD-Ext. If it doesn't work, you're outta luck.
here's the thing.
sometimes the app installs to SD, even if you didn't tell it to, so check the app anyways and if it says "SD" move it to phone.
If it says "phone" and still FC, then move it to SD, then move it back to phone and try again, you should be good.
don't ask me why but it works.
Hi
I tried this..moved to sd then back to phone... But did not solve issue

So, i havent seen anything about this.
but my phone puts about 2gb of things on the SD card. i have about 2gb of music and photos but 4gb of the sd card is being used.
i pulled all my files off and formatted the SD card before and at first it was fine but 5 min later the card was about half full again, any reason why?
Swap file cache maybe?

Is it possible the phone is just thinking backup files are still on the SD?

Cache files usually. Is you file browser set to view system/hidden files? Lots of folders start with a period as file names.

Use cache cleaner NG should hopefully resolve the issue.

Same thing happened to my wife's SDcard, in her G2. I have no clue how it happened. I ended up just formatting the whole SDcard i didn't feel like messing with it.

I believe you have to hook up your phone to the usb and laptop/computer make sure it disk drive. Then your. Computer picks it up, now open it on your computer right click on the folder where your other folders are.. go to properties and I do believe at the bottom you gonna see 2 "read only and hidden" option uncheck the read only. Sorry for the confusions.

I got it working I put the SD card on my EVO 4g and it got rid of read only and just put it back on my mytouch

Formatting is another option. But you going to lose all data store on the SD card.

I am rooted with synergy. For some reason, no matter which music player I use, it's showing double tracks. I have songs saved to my sd card, and the same ones at mnt/sd card. If I delete one our the other, it deletes both! Why is it doing this?!

Looks like there is a symlink. Do you have adb shell access or terminal application?
I have no idea what those are. Ha. I'm new to all this stuff. I don't have those.
