HELP!! Desperate!

Tried to update the ROM.
Update process seemed fine, but when rebooting the screen keeps flashing in the bootloader screen.
Tried to install the RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_LOVE_1.28.717.1_INFINEongsm4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Cmp_Ship_R afterwards, but it keeps bringing up the ERROR 224 code.
Now, forum topic somewhere says that with the imei check tool and the hexediter this can be fixed.. BUT.. the C3v1Unlock tool only seems to work with an activesync connection... which... offcourse with the tri-colour bootloader mode that I only have access to is not available..
What should I do now?
My device is a T-Mobile NL device (known as a MDA Compact III). Advice greatly appreciated!!

firstly, relax!!!
afaik, the rom you used is atest rom, which is not meant for your machine due to diffrent bootloader, or so!
to try to solve your problems, start from scratch:
your machine is supercid, after imeicheck unlocking, right?
if this is so, pick an original installer, like the dopod one on the wiki, bring your machine into bootloader mode( not your flashing one, but clean bootloader, by hardreset followed by record and reset!), and start installation routine.
that should do the job!
afaik, no, there is no originbal netherland rom around.

p.s.: incase you are not supercid, the dopod rom should still work, cause you are the same machine type. if it doesnt, look for another rom on the wiki and see how it goes.

thanx for editing it, didnt want to confuse the patient even more , so i stuck with the "wiki -way" of explaining howto enter the bootloader

i also have the dutch mda III but i tried a different rom and bricked it.
The T-Mobile English T-MOB005 ARTE***** 1.13.110.1 9/22/06 1.13.110.101 1.13.0000 02.49.90 4.1.13.25 did not work, it said INVALID MODEL or INVALID VENDOR
Any more tips?

I have test to UPDATE it with this FIRMWARE because the ORANGE-FR is horrible because they have deleted all goods utils in it, like : MSN, TOMTOM, etc ...
You must pay for all you want to do with ...
BUT, after the FLASHing and REBOOT, now the phone dont want to restart

After i read this THREAD who explain how to repair my problem ...But it dosent work for me ...
When i want to flash it, it tell me :

And after have made the TUTO !

and also at 3% with : art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.exe
I think, it is because these firmwares are not FRENCH
I already have this problem on time ago on my "Qteck 2020"
And because also the soft "C3v1Unlock.exe" dosen't work fot me ...
It tell me to launch it on Windows like i do and adort ...
FINALY, where can i read a TUTO to explain how to modify a FIRMWARE US TO FR with an HEXADECIMAL software

changing the rom is not enough, you have to recalculate the checksum

hi to all yesterday I was your siimilar problem (I've try to install teh powermap rom...) so my Orbit O2 (original german rom) still only in boot screen, today I've try to install this magic rom:
art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.rar
I've press the comm manager button + power button + soft reset and my orbit it's enter in bootmanager mode so, i've install the TMobile UK rom (I was the O2 german rom...)
only in this mode my orbit work again.

I'll try to do it quickly. If you have some questions about steps, write them.
Step 1 - Download and install HardSPL for Opal (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446446)
Step 2 - Download the ROM and install it. You should have above 50% battery charged on your device and turn off sleep mode on your desktop pc. Than, install the ROM.
Step 3 - Always do hard reset after installing a ROM... Always!!!
Step 4 - Set up your device and be happy =)

I tested this ROM... It's very-very good!!! I'd like it and I recommend it to anyone

I've tried this and just found one problem with the phone function.
It happens when u open phone. At first, it looks fine, but try hidding the phone pad.
Then scroll ur list... U'll see... Everything is just messed up!
I'm not sure other people would have the same problem here or not.
But I do... I hope Resco Contact Manager could help me outta this

The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility

Hi i am from india and using the touch viva with WM 6.1 unlocked on idea cellular sim. the ROM version on the phone is 1.35.720.2 WWE will using the above rom lock my sim . Please do help so i can upgrade to WM 6.5 , also is there another way to upgrade without losing the sim unlock.

honestly, i have no idea if it will lock ur device, but if u bought ur device already unlocked and u did not unlock it, it would probably not, and please use v21, its the latest, this is the old one. and im not sure if v21 will do the same, go ahead and ask the guys in the v21 thread...

[Q]help on WM 6.1 official ROM

any one can help me with this? it's an official ROM 6.1 from HTC site I've downloaded and install on my elfin every thing works fine the only problem is that when I turn the device ON, on the Boot screen logo, there's a window logo on the upper which is not suppose to be there >,< any help?
BTW I extract the ROM and Install only ext_ROM,SPLASH and OS only.

- Also no screen shots are attached here.
- On a side note, first you need to search if anyone else here has faced a similar problem? If no, you need to be specific regarding what is the issue you are facing.
- Having said that, please note that no offense is meant here . It is just a small piece of advice to get help faster .

ok here I'll upload it again coz on the first post I used

my SPL and IPL is 3.10 maybe its not compatible with my SPL or IPL any idea? I've extracted the ROM and used only Ext_ROM,SPLASH,RADIO and OS.nb (NO IPL SPL) just to be safe.

- As far as I know, this is .png file that gets displayed till the OS boots in background.
- Its name is welcomehead.96.png. Look for it in your phone's \Windows directory.
- You can replace it whatever you want if you adhere to few rules like : name should be welcomehead.96.png and size should be 240 * 320.
- As a matter of fact, my avatar is my boot-up screen in my ROMs .

and as we can see if the taskbar should be on boot up, then I think the window logo should be on the left corner on the bar [inside, before the line]

Do you mean that Windows icon in the top midle during bootup? That happens because of the services.exe file. If it is replaced with a newer one then it goes away. The file may need to be cooked into a ROM though (it's fixed in Onyx WM6.1 ROMs). It's not a big deal, why are you worried and making a thread for it? It goes away after it boots.

yup the icon on the top... so does it means that this is a WM 6.1 bug? i'm worried coz its so annoying tho there is no thread for this or is there? thats why they put the "new thread" button on this forum.
this services.exe thing can I replace it with other services.exe from other ROM without cooking it? and just explore using PC "copy paste"
and BTW mods can delete this thread...if its a useless junk thread.

Problem when upgrading ROM

I did try upgrading ROM from version 1.07.707.1 (85429) WWE to RUU_Photon_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.36.707.3_Radio_Signed_32 .2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship by running SSPL then file RUU_signed.nbh but when the status bar showed 100% a problem occurred with the warning "Software update failed. Please try again." I tried restarting the phone but unable. I then try removing the battery and put it back to restart but it still showed the same message "Software update failed. Please try again." What should I do now?

If you just using a normal sdcard,
stock Rom and putting into ,
renaming the file PHOTIMG.nbh.

I am sorry to contradict you, but as in my thread above, where I have attached pictures, I only used sandisk 2gb.
Problem: only if more than 2GB.
With this method, I made several HDMINI born again.
Also: the boot from sdcard method is identical to that of the HD2 (change only the name of the file) that precisely 2gb, included in the purchase.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys! After trying several ROM versions from http://shipped-roms.com/, I have managed upgrading ROM to RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.07.401.1_Radio_Signed_2010 0305_Ship but I'm not sure it's the latest one.
Now the new versions in my phone is as below.
OS version: 5.2.23103 (23103.5.3.3)
Manila version: 2.5.20131825.0
ROM version: 1.07.401.1 (85429) WWE
ROM date: 21 Mar 10
Radio version: 0.63.05.40
Protocol version: 32.2806.05.06U

the latest roms starts with 1.36...... you can see at shipped roms and htc web page.
i think you should use that method i tried it last night on my HD Mini and it upgraded firmware nicely.

download that one it worked for me. if you want to try your Asia version you may if you can manage again to installing old rom.
