You need to try to update profile. Or data restore if that don't work... Basically your device isn't programmed

Not to sound weird, but are you asking for that info? Because CSM/Eticket/Other Sprint Apps would give you all of that with just a phone number.
I'm going to go with either not programmed or unpaid bill, those are the two I see most with this issue.
just get sprint to reprogram your phone knowing the level of people sprint hires someone could have accidently accessed your account and swapped your device out

Do this ##3282# - Enter MSL - click "Restore".
This will reboot your phone and initiate the configuring process with Sprint. ex. PRL, Firmware etcc.
You can also use ##786# and hit reset, but this is gonna restore you to factory conditions.
If you dont have your MSL, call sprint and ask them for it. They will give it to you.
U can use conncetbot to get msl.

False.. That assumes that it was kids who bought all the candy, where as I see it there are a lot of people who still eat candy but aren't kids (like me lol) but I have found kids will eat anything with a 75% sugar content leading me 2 think that any kind of sweets would get a kid in your van, honestly a playstation PSP would probably work just as well if not better...

This probably has been posted before but just giving info out again. I had horrible service inside my home only due to the roof material. So just wanted to point out sprint does give away as a courtesy their airave box. I called Monday night spoke to rentention dept told them I only have horrible service inside my house and today got my airave works perfect full bars on my EVO and full bars on the other sprint user in my plan.
Poor service?
Call.
Complain to retention dept.
Ask for a free airave.
Get airave.
Full bars= happy EVO.
Let me add I did not get charged a cent and no monthly fees either. Also if your going to try for one make sure you've got high speed internet or cable as it uses your broadband (femtocell)
Hopefully this helps a few of you that live in those nook and crannies spots or have the same roof problems like me.

Thanks for the heads up. Just got off the phone with sprint, and my free airave will be here in 3-5 days.

A friend of mine did this, and he loves his airave.
Sprint screwed up though, they sent him 3! So he gave me one and said if I could get it to work, I could have it for free.
Turns out the serial numbers on each airave is matched to your phone bill and account number, so I couldn't get his to work. I had to get him to tell sprint he no longer needed it, and it was a huge hassle...I ended up not going through with it. I get mediocre service anyway, so it wasn't a big deal.
Just a bit more info for you guys that are going to try and sell them or something.
so ive been tethering for like two months with no issue via my rooted glacier.
just got a text from tmobile..
889: Free T-Mobile Msg: Phone Tethering & Wi-Fi sharing access may be blocked unless you add a Phone Tethering & Wi-Fi Sharing plan available at my.t-mobile.com
should i be worried? can they really cancel it on a rooted phone? what gives.
well they blocked it now.
its just normal web browsing which is odd.
AIM still works, and i can still browse via tor. or manually putting an s to make it https. but that isnt practical for browsing.
any ideas? different browser perhaps? i wonder how they are determining that i am tethering.
ugh, any ideas would be appreciated..how annoying.
I talked to my brother and he said its probably my user agent. So I'm going to get the ref control add on and change it so its sending what my phone sends and see if that works. Ill let y'all know how it works.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Keep us posted of the user agent change, I'd be curious to know this myself. Data packets should be entirely agnostic to their network unless are they doing deep packet inspection or specifically monitoring non-port 80 traffic, or port 80 traffic with different user agent strings.
Any luck with your attempts?

I've been tethering my myt4g with my streak 7 and havent gotten any message like this.. If I do get it though how would your workaround method work on another android device?
Isn't free tethering still available if you use the android-wifi-tether app? or the one built into CM? I heard you only get charged if you use the stock wifi tethering app
No worries for you, its only looking for desktop user agent strings to block. At home I hotspot to my mt3g from my mt4g and then tether the 3g to the desktop. Its never got a warning yet. Can you believe Sprint might be buying T-mobile out? I'll be canceling that service, again.

The good thing is if this plans out correctly those of us with T-Mobile will be able to exit the contract w/o a ETF. I hate the fact of having to use ATT or BigRed.... Wait a tick. Cincinnati Bell uses the same frequencies @ T-Mobile where i live. So i could use them and keep my phone....

Personally i followed LeMans racing. I followed NASCAR back in the day when i was younger, but heck i'm only 28. I like the various class of cars in LeMans, it brings a new dynamic to racing. I might have car that can do 30-40MPH faster than the next guy but it cannot pass him, it doesn't do any good. I also like grass root dirt tracks, those are a blast to go watch.

Use the Wireless Tether app instead of the stock app. You shouldn't get any warnings/messages. I have 3 different Android phones I use (I switch SIM cards out whenever the phone I'm using currently bores me) and I haven't gotten any warnings/messages yet and I tether to my computer everyday.

Cause att is a large corp that started as a landline company that offers internet service and now they're the second largest provider in an industry where the line between phone service and internet service is quickly fading. They're essentially a telecommunications goliath along with verizon that the fcc needs to break up. Remember the too big to fail of the banks. That's what we have here with these two companies. Now that they're swallowing up their smaller rival im amazed at the fact that few people are speaking out on this. Were the ones that lose out because of lack of investments. These companies will try to take advantage of their copper networks before they put any significant investments into fiber optics which is already at least a decade old. That's why google is buying up fiber optics lines, most of the fiber optics network is underused in the US. Googles setting up their own internet service which will outcompete these old farts. What we need is more companies like apple and google which try to give consumers choice as opposed to having gloiath corporations like att and verizon which try to bloat our phones with crap and charge extra for tethering because theyre both internet providers and cellphone companies. God forbid you use your smartphone as an actual smartphone...that costs extra.

Hi Mikeylee I feel your pain bro. I thought the airrave would be a good solution. Sometimes though I could be the messanging app's fault. Sometimes the app would mess up and I would have to clear the data in the messaging app or worst case reflash the rom again. Before my phone can send text messages again. I believe the APN get messed up sometimes.

Exactly. And as I understand it, the AirRave only compensates for data, not the voice signal, which is what basic texts use to transmit.
You could have your phone glued direcly to the AirRave, which could be connected directly to a T3 trunk line, but if you have no Sprint coverage, you still won't be able to make a phone call or send a basic text. (YouTube streaming would be pretty amazing, though...)
