Camera FC on video function - Streak 5 General

I was taking video of my daughter during dinner earlier tonight, first two clips 5 mins each was awesome. But after that the succeeding recording failed to complet due to video FC and causing my streak to shut doen and reboot again. Since then I am no longer able to record videos longer than 2 mins. Anybody else noticed or experienced the same thing? Any idea what could be causiing it? I've been running 1.7.0 for two days now upgrded from 1.6 stock to SD 1.6.0 to SD 1.6.1 then to SD 1.5.1 to SD 1.6.0 and now to SD 1.7.0. Hope someone would notice and give his insight on what could be causing my streak to fc and reboot while using video capture. Thanks in advance.

[Q] Camera App problems on Android 2.2

Hi there!
I've been using the leaked version of 2.2 and I really love it but my video camera stops working!! I can open the app and when I hit the record button the app closes. If I reboot works great for the next 3-4 hours then it fails again! and this only happens in 2.2 when I'm on 2.1 works perfectly.
yeah ive had the same problem, ive recently did a factory reset and hoping it will work...
I have the same problem. I was going to factory reset and see if that made ax difference but haven't done so yet.

If one chooses a lower quality (anyone below HD) works again for a while... but then the problem comes back.
Mine was like that to but restarted the phone today and would you know it started working. No idea what happened

Click to collapse
Me too when I reboot works great again but then after 4 hours brakes again
well after almost 8 hrs of a factory reset, all camera/video functions working well...
I also was having the same issues. Did a hard reset.
I have now found that if I use my Twitter account and have it launch camera do I have the issue. If I take a picture, then launch Twitter app and attach pic it is fine so far.
Any way to revert to old camera app?
I had the same issue - would launch, press record button and poof.
Rebooted phone using QuickBoot and voila. Working again.
Gonna try HTCCamera.apk, but I highly doubt it will work.

For those having camera and other issues

UPDATE 1: SD Card Index
If you are experiencing issues with the Camera, Media Player, Gallery, or SD card, refresh your SD Card Index following the steps below and power cycle your device to ensure the refresh takes effect:
Menu->Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Select All->Scroll down to Media Storage->Select Clear Data. i tried this on a friends phone it worked for his.
Didn't fix the video recorder issue unfortunately

did not fix sports/action scene mode FC issue on my phone.
yup. Did nothing. I went as far as extracting the dk28 camera apk n odex. Installed it to eb13 after deleting the eb13 files. Well, no go. Still blurry. Its the eb13 build that's the problem. Devs....... Help.
The OP isn't too clear on this, but I don't believe this is intended to fix the frame rate issue at all. It's an attempt to remedy Force Close issues when launching the camera, music player etc. (most apps that use the sd card to store files).
Also I know everybody is frustrated, but before throwing this back as useless. It would be prudent to confirm what bug is being addressed. As we all know there are many bugs. And I do in fact think this will fix an particular issue that I had, but had to use a brute force method to fix.

[Q] Youtube Problem & Freeze

Hi everyone, i'm having an issue with the latest youtube app (actually i haven't tried the previous versions ). Videos start playing, but when it buffers the video faster than the video preview, video freezes and restarts buffering from the last viewed point. I use Typhoon's rom. r u having the same issue ? Cache size of the cwm can be causing the problem? Mine is 5 mbs.
Try fixing permissions from cwm

[Q]who to fix bad video-audio when recording?

every time I try to record a video with my evo, after a few seconds the image freeze a little and audio de-sync.
i have some vids and all the same, start ok, but after a few seconds video freeze for a second and get this lip desync, tryed diferent encoder and same thing, also lower resolution and the same =(
I `m sad cause i got a bautiful vid of my baby daugther laughin and it came the same, now i am trying to fix it on adobe premier
any idea how to fix this??
sd card is a 8gb Kingston HC class 4, do i need a faster one?
EVo 4G
android 2.3.5
Not Rooted..
A faster card couldn't hurt. I would recommend doing a factory reset first, just to be sure it's not a software bug.

[Q] Completely lost all audio, media plays super fast

Have been using this (MIUI v5 Nexus 4 ยท [3.6.15] - Updated [June 16, 2013] Working LTE) for the past few days and all was fine... till all of a sudden I got a call and could not hear the caller... I thought it was the no audio/tmobile issue, but all was fine before? Now I come to find out that I have no audio at all and videos/music files play as if they are in fast forward (with no audio).
I tried backups to this rom and others and the problem persists. Tried reflashing back to this and to others and the problem is still there, absolutely no audio and fast video/music playback. Anyone has any idea what I triggered and how it can be fixed?
I just finished restoring back to stock and still no audio/fast video playback. Has anyone experienced this... or is this phone a gonner.
Did you make sure to wipe /system /data etc when you went back to restore?
Yes of course... I'm wondering if this is a freak accident... But it must be a software issue... Too much of a coincidence that media plays fast along with the no audio issue
