Hi,
I just want to share with everyone what a did to solve the old 60mA battery problem in standby mode. It might be obvious for most of the users in this forum, but I hope it helps some simple users like me.
First my initial configuration with the problem:
LEO1024 from T-Mous
HardSPL 2.08
Radio: 2.10.50.26
VBNRom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776971)
MDJ FroYo HD v.4.6 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859817)
To solve the problem I just change radio from 2.10.50.26 to 2.12.50.2.2. Just that, I did not changed rom, android, nothing else.
So my mew configuration is
LEO1024 from T-Mous
HardSPL 2.08
Radio: 2.12.50.2.2
VBNRom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776971)
MDJ FroYo HD v.4.6 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859817)
Now my HD2 keeps just 5 mA in standby mode. Also, is early to say but I think this version of radio solved the death screen in android too. I will test for some more time and let everyone knows the results.
EDIT: YES IT SOLVED THE DEATH SCREEN !!! I AM VERY HAPPY NOW
Thanks everyone who helps me push away my fear to mess with my phone´s radio.
Next step put the Android running in NAND, but fist I have to read more 5000 posts to convice myself.
Hi. um where extacly is the radio. can i have a link. i have android installed in my nand. but my battery drain is at 400's! yeah i know crazy.
The big radio rom thread is here.

Hi there,
i tested a lot of Windows Mobile ROM's and everyone with specific behavior to a Radio. Actually i'm using the EnergyROM GER C00kie 28 Aug and it is amazing. I also would use Android but i'm not able to find a good Radio.
So i decided to start a Thread, where everyone can post hier Radio, ROM WM, Android ROM and his Place + Network (Eplus,Vodafone etc.).
I hope it can be a useful help to wirght down positiv and negative experiences you made with Android on different Radios.
So i tried the 2.07 Radio, witch has an amazing Batterylife on Windows Mobile on latest EnergyROM. But in Android over 6 hours a lost 50 % Battery in standby! Tried Radio 2.12 and high drain in WinMo and bad connection in Android.
I'm in Germany with BASE.

You used 2.07 radio with android ? You didn't read the sticky.. Actually I am surprised android ran fine with it, you must have >= 2.08
All radio are different for each one, i saw a lot of thread like yours and nothing interesting went out. If that can help I am using 2.08 for france/switzerland, call quality is good and I am loosing 1% in standby each hour.
no i read
but because radio was perfect, i tried it. And NRZ gives advice to use 2.07 or 2.12 with his WM ROM.
i'll try this two for next
Leo_RADIO_2.10.50.28_2 and Leo_RADIO_2.08.50.05** (you mean this 2.08?)
how is your battery behavior in windows mobile and android? both good?

2.08.50.05 yes. So happy with it that I don't feel the need to change. Try it, maybe german and france have the same ways to deal with signals... seems to work good with wm but honestly I don't use it at all anymore.

i'll try thanks, stupid question, but can i update or downgrade Radio (e.g. 2.12 to 2.08) without a full new flash?
[Full Flash: Task29 -> Radio -> WinMo ROM]
or can i only flash a new radio over the installed ROM?

Hello Every1!
I just baught a T-Mobile HTC HD2 for my brother .. he HATED WM 6.5 and wants Android so bad!
Anw i tried putting Android MdeeJay Froyo Clean 2.4 on it but SOD keeps on happening when i put the phone to sleep!
I Just get a dark light and thats it so i have to remove the battery and start all over again!
I Searched xda and found out its caused by the old Radio Version.
Now i need to upgrade my Radio Verision.
Can it be fixed without Flashing or Changing Radio?
And If i update to the latest T-Mobile HD2 ROM will it Update my Radio to more then 2.12 and from that Stop SOD from happening ?
will the Stock HD2 ROM cause any problems?
+ .. Is it ok to Flash a Radio to 2.15 even if the ROM is old?
Im sorry for those many questions but im a bit lost as you can see!!
10x alot anyway

I am not a professional myself, but I solved my SOD by flashing to 2.15.50. Previously I was using 2.10 myself and at one point I kept getting SOD everytime I lock my phone and hence I flashed it to 2.15. It works well now
I am not sure whether Radio is affected by ROM (or stock ROM in your case), but if you wish, you can try this Dutty Family ROM which I am using. Since you are going to flash Radio, why not flash a WinMo ROM altogether XD
hi htc hd2 users...i love my hd2..first the stock rom was installed in it..i felt some few bugs in stock rom n i tried energy rom after seeing good reviews for it..once i installed energy rom..i found having hanging issues or freezing issues..well i didnt know whats the reason for it...so again i formatted or uninstalled energy rom n installed the ols stock rom itself...now again i found another one rom named as cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01 ..its great n its compatible with my hd2 version...n i am running on it only..today i saw a tmobile updated official rom of 3.14 n i am plannin to install it..but i am scared what ll happen if frequently changing the rom...whether it ll affect my hd2 or cause any damage etc etc
thanks for the reply..
phone-T-mobile htc hd2
Os version-21913
Rom version- cleanEX RV Ultra 1.01
Radio version-2.08.50.08_2
nothing will happen
Just remember to run task29 before you flash your new rom
I have my device now for about 15 mounts, and in the meal wile I have install more than 70 Rom's on it without any problems.
The most important is not how much Rom versions you will install but eater if you would do it correctly.
Why don't you put HSPL3 2.08HSPL and MAGLDR1.13 on it so you can have Android on NAND, Windows Phone 7, hah? . . . now we're talking
Like kurt-willems, my HD2 is like 15 months old, I´m a flashaholic since other devices in the past. I think I flashed roughly 50 custom ROMs (plus some stock ROM flashes before task29 was possible with stand-alone apps).
It is being said that the memory chip technology which stores the OS ROM can be at least re-written 1000 times. I don´t think I will still use the HD2 in 20 years.
Maybe, I´ll keep it as a souvenir as one of the greatest smartphones in the early 2000´s. And at least 1 ROM of each OS on an SD... just for fun, hehe...
I couldn't really remembered how many ROM flashing i've had done since my Dopod 838 Pro, TyTN II, Touch Pro, Touch Pro2, Snap and now HD2, nothings bad happened. So the point is, it's safe as long as You do by the rule Sir. Go a head, You can do more than just that, Cheers

Bro, your avatar is the same with the signature of Bro Tictac (above your post )
I have been flashing my HD2 for 13 months and I tried almost all wwe roms available in XDA and HTC Pedia. But I think it still below 1000 times.
And when it reaches 1000 times and something happen with my HD2, I will not regret it because HD2 is the best phone ever made by HTC
Cheers....
PS. Win, sudah berhasil dual boot nya?

Since you are running a custom ROM, then you alread have HSPL running. I would go into BootLoader Mode to confirm that the SPL is 2.08.HSPL
Your RADIO is fine (although there are a few updated verions 2.12.50 and the 2.15.50 are the more popular).
Once all that is done then you are able to go into the Android NAND ROM Flashing.

I am using Hyperdroid GBX too and I have not had that issue. I am using Hyperdroid v9.0 and radio 2.15.50.14. Try flashing the same radio as I have and see if that helps.
Recommend using the latest 2.15.50.14 + hspl2.08, and cancel buttons voice, to see if solve the problem

Hey leyong and welcome to XDA-Developers. I see you are still daily new to XDA so I say this to you with much respect. Please read all post of a thread if it is still fairly short like this thread is as you maycfind your suggestion has already been posted. I understand if the thread is huge but if it is only one to three pages long read them all. I had already told the OP to try upgrading to radio 2.15.50.14 as this is the radio I use and I also use Hyperdroid on my HD2 and do not have those issues he they do.
Also if you use MAGLDR you have to have HSPL 2.08 cause MAGLDR will not work with any other HSPL right now. Now if you are using cLK to boot Android you don't have to have HSPL 2.08 but it is recommended or HSPL 3.03. Just trying to help you out some.
Cheers
