Hi everybody. I have a strange issue with the search function and exactly with searching appointments through calendar. When I start a search and I type the description of the appointment, the result arrives only 2 month ahead. For example : if now I look for a repeating appointment , the result of it arrives only until 6 th of march but I'd like that it shows me April and so on too. If I go into calendar and take a look month by month and I redo the search, It shows me the appointment I was looking for. Why????? Every time I need an appoitment more than 2 month ahead I need to scroll all the calendar and then It gives me the desired result. I tried to explain the best way I can in english. i hope someone can help me

i have all Birthdays from my contacts entered about Outlook in my device. The standart reminder is adjusted to 1 week. Now the alarm starts always at midnight and i want change that to another time.
Can someone help me? I think it is a registry key or so.

i dont remember how, but i turned it off completely. i would like it back on, and to change the time. it used to make me angry when it would go off at midnight.
You could set the reminder time to 7.5 days so that it goes off at 12 noon rather than midnight...

Was trying to use the calender cos i finally found a use for it but was having several problems.
1. why is it if u set an event as all day u dont get notified on "upcoming applintments" on ur home screen till that event day???
2. sometimes when settings events it leave a marker on the "month view" and sometimes it doesnt. any reason why ????

Hey there.
For your first Q, go to settings, personal, today, items, calendar and tap options on the left. You have the options to display upcoming events and all day events.
For the second I don't know

i feel like such a noob. thx for the advise but still no luck. either the rom is just messed up or its just ****e windows calender.
its just not user friendly like windows usually is; in my eyes anywayz.
I am pretty new to this forum and I bought my Diamond just 2 days ago but I looked thruogh this forum before to see what I could expect. Anyway what I miss in the device is an application that would be taking care about reminding me of certain important dates. Birthday might be one of them (I know that there's a funcionality in contact list and calendar) but you can go to some other options like first date and other kind of stuff that expecially women want us to remember One thing for the application would be to make a reminder in some way (maybe even sending e-mail or text message) and the other would be to list those events to give us some overview what we can expect i.e. in 2 days, 1 week etc. That would be application completely separated from calendar and contact list, however it could have an option to use data that are stored there. Of course one could think about some additional functionality but it's just of the top of my head. Of course I am thinking about nice TouchFlo3D GUI.
It could also give/send reminders in advance starting at some point and repeating with some interval.

I have the G1 since yesterday and my problem is that i cant create a calendar entry!
When i open the calendar the i will press the menu button and i will click on "Neuer Termin" in english it will be probably new appointment or something like that, i will enter a name and then i enter the date and the time and then i will save it!
But when i look now in the calendar i cant see any entry!!!!
WHY????????

if u click menu, then 'agenda' do u see it in there?
if u look at the calender, its day view it should be clear, in week view there will be a white block with blue line, and on month view there wil be a little green line next to the date..
no i cant see anything in the agenda!
and also i cant see any entry in the day view or week or month view!
ohhh my god, i have it solved!
i was in the month view and i have clicked the menu button the i have clicken on "Mehr" in english: more, then i have clicked on "Mein Kalender" in english: My Calendar and there i have seen my gmail account but the tick was not set so i have set the tick then i went back to the month view and now i can see all my entries, which i´ve ever made!

I've been lookin over the internet and in this forum for this trick, hope someone can answer.
I'm this kind of guy who has more than 3000 emails in my Yahoo inbox (always been lasy to create folders and sort...) and I'm using Pocket Outlook to refresh some of them.
Actually, I would like to get on my phone not all messages (3000...will take to much space) but at least the last 3 months ones.
Unfortunately, when setting up the email, the only options I can get are:
"download messages...
- today
- from the past x days" where x = 3, 5, 7 or 30
- all messages"
I don't want to download all, but downloading the last 30 days is not enough.
I've try to check anything into the registry without success.
Is it a way to customize the number of days?

regarding to (see section EmailAgeFilter) http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa455976.aspx this are all Options you have.
I don't think it's configureable to some custom values.
