Hi, so I'm running eb01 superclean v2.3 non voodoo and something weird keeps happening with my recovery.
I had originally had DL30 superclean 1.0 on the phone, and whenever I rebooted into recovery, it would give me the blue, (default?) recovery screen
I used the instructions found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951194
and got a red CWR still in the DL30 rom, then I flashed the rom found in that thread.
Then, I wanted to install superclean 2.3 on the phone, so I rebooted into recovery, and the blue(default?) recovery was on yet again, so I reinstalled the CWM files from the thread I linked and went through the process again, and got superclean 2.3
Now, when I reboot into recovery it is blue once again! Do I have to keep doing those instructions every time I try flashing a new rom? Thanks!

It's normal as of right now. I think it has to do with how ROM Manager boots into recovery. You're better off an explanation from jt or Adrynalyne.
The best way around this is to shut down. Then hold the sound keys to get into recovery.
Thank you!

So i did a soft brick yesterday..
Applied voodoo, then tried to restore a non voodoo backup.. My bad
Since then i have used ODIN and flashed the justinthecroud "stock"
After that i re-flashed some rom's but once i get in to the OS and Download rom manager i have nothing but issues.
Rebooting via ROM manager in order to flash a new rom, or even "reboot recovery" via the terminal i just get the "vibrant" screen and then nothing..
This has happened a few times.
Since then i flashed the leaked 2.2 posted by Eugean (via ODIN).
Then macnut12
Again, as soon as i use ROM Manager and try to get in to recovery directly from the OS i get soft bricked...
Anyone have any clue?
my phone is stuck at stock recovery screen..
when i turn on the phone, samsung logo appears, then right after it takes me to
android system recovery screen... it's not booting T_T tried Odin stock recovery,
nandroid.. nothing seems to get my phone to boot up. help me please !!
What happened prior to cause this scenario? Any custom roms or kernels etc...
I have the same problem,
it happend after a couple of rom flashes. i think the reason is in voodoo kernal. Tried to flash it with odin and then remove, but no luck...
it exchanged the master boot record on the device so it wont boot properly.
Tried to change mbr to original one with adb shell, but it says "device not found"
What am I doing wrong?
HELP US PLEASE!!!!
ive updated to dj05, flashed voodoo 5, then i was flashing the boot animation through
rom manager. for some reason it got stuck in the process saying 'finding zip file'.. so i
pulled out the battery.. once i reboot it, i knew something was wrong with the phone
at this point. it keeps getting me to the voodoo lagfix recovery which is all red color, i went to irc and got help getting rid of voodoo so its back to stock recovery and pushed in stock files through odin. but still when i turn on the phone, after samsung logo it keeps getting me to the stock recovery screen instead of booting the system..
You are selecting PDA within odin correct? Have you followed this procedure? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782204&highlight=odin
Yes i did everything.. i uninstalled voodoo by flashing novoodoo 1129 .. this is how the stock recovery came back from the voodoo lagfix recovery. is something wrong in the process..? do you think

This should help you. I fixed practically the same problem with this.
It's a magic wand, that'll take you back in time when you had your virgin unrooted fascinate
Hey Everyone.. not sure what I did here.
I was rocking Superclean 2.3 NV with out any issues, decided to venture to the world of Voodoo and install the 2.4 voodoo version. Ever since than I have been unable to install themes/restore backups/install new rooms. I get stuck in a boot loop. I then go into RED CWM to restore my backup and get stuck in a boot loop there as well. I have since flashed the EB01 deoxed via odin to try to get rid of VoodDoo and have the disable_lagfix file in the voodoo folder and flashed back Red CWM though Odin. Able to use phone fine, but as soon as I flash a rom/theme I get stuck in the same boot loop and unable to restore backup.
I next ODIN'd DL09 full package, manually got root/cwm and flashed 2.4NV and updated to EB01 Modem. Attempted to update to Blackhole 4.21 with lagfix_disable and red CWM and got stuck in the bootloop again.
What am I doing wrong?
Hi, in a slight panic here. All I wanted to do was flash another newer ROM. I went into Recovery mode and told it to disable the voodoo lagfix and system lagfix. Rebooted then all the Galaxy S I9000 does now is vibrate once then about 10 seconds later vibrate 3 times in quick sucession. That repeats forever.
I can get back into recovery mode. I tried rebooting with the all lagfixes enabled again. I got the voice voodoo converting or something she said, but I still have the boot loop. So then I tried wiping the caches, and factory reset/wipe. Reboot, still the vibrating boot loop.
What should I do next?? , I hope someone can help.
Should I try flashing with Odin? (I was on Darkys 8)
Still on Darky v8?
It's time to change rom, Voodoo lagfix is outdated.
Do you have a backup of everything? Do it everytime you change something!
Anyway, flash a ROM with Odin.
The latest leaked is JW5.
Hi thanks, I have got the phone back by flashing with Odin Darky 10.4.2.
What do you recommend I go to next, an ICS one?
Yes, flash CyanogenMod 9. It's ICS and it's rally fast and stable! Follow carefully the instructions in the CM9 thread e you will be ok!
Here is the official thread:

I have been running AOKP on my Fascinate for a while now, but something wierd is going on with the device. After about a week of running AOKP (I tried the Hacksung ICS builds as well), the Fascinate begins to bootloop, so I have to go through and ODIN (cannot wipe and reflash because it continues to bootloop after wipe and reflash) then flash AOKP again. The process repeats itself after roughly a week of use.
I went back and Odin'ed to 2.3.5, but ever since then, I have been unable to install a working recovery on my device. I can flash the recovery fine (Voodoo, and CWM fixed for CM7), but when it boots up, and I try to flash a file, the screen goes black for a minute, then goes back to the recovery menu, like it is rebooting recovery. I've tried Heimdall and Odin.
Anyone got any tips? Am I just forgetting something?

in odin did you use the atlas.pit repartition file when you flashed back to stock?
if not then try that. also, which CWM are you trying to flash?
I know my fassy had problems with certain versions, but a 2.5.x version always worked for me no matter what happened to my phone.
This guide always worked for me.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238070
