Has anyone had any luck getting the Wiimote Controller app to work on a Sense ROM on the HD2?
From reading I have found that there is an issue with the HTC bluetooth stack that is present on Sense ROM's that is incompatible with the app. I never found a resolution and am assuming that no one has found a way around it or to fix it.
Is it possible to take the bluetooth stack from a non-Sense ROM and have it run on a Sense ROM? May be a stupid question but I just don't know...
I would THINK this is possible, just because there are so many other workarounds that these developers create. However, the fact that it has NOT happened yet tells me that it is likely impossible - or would take too much time/effort and nobody feels the need to do it.
Anyone?

Is the HTC Desire media player available for separate download? (For Nexus One)
I would personally love to have it and replace the stock android with it. Im sure others would like it to.
EDIT: Also could you point me towards some good alternative media players?
Search for "nemo player" on these very forums. It's very blue, so might be a little out of place with stock UI, but quite pleasing otherwise.
I extracted it for you, buuut I don't know if it'll work without Sense. Technically it should, though the widget's a no-go.
Thanks for your fast reply and the HTCmusic apk!
I will also download the Nemo media player.
I will edit this post with results on how the HTCmusic goes
Can't be installed on CM 5.0.4.1. Probably won't work on other non-sense ROMs too.
Yeah thus far hasn't been working for me. But it appears to have all the necessary resources (in terms of imagery and xml files)
But i was thinking its just not acting like a regular app due to it not having a file name?
PS: I am only first starting with Android (got my N1 2 days ago )
EDIT: Oh wait, it calls these:
com.htc.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS
com.htc.launcher.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS
So i guess it wont work without htc.launcher.....
As far as I understand, the only apk's from Desire's ROM that would work on non-Sense ROMs are HTC_IME (the touch input keyboard) and Teeter (the game).
And the calculator, but I've no idea why anyone would want it (stock calculator's better, IMO).

If I recall correctly Cyanogen was able to get the HTC Music and Camera app to work on his 1.6 ROM before the C&D.
What do i need to get the HTC Syncronization with outlook working on a pure Android 2.1 without Sense?
I have a HTC HERO and don't want to miss this great feature when using the Vanilain-Rom, for example. Because it seems that other Sync-programs are not that ripely.
i think it is not issue just with HTC, I got X10 running on Android and I am also looking for some sort of solution ..
Please don't missunderstand me. With the official roms of HTC there is a syncronization software included. But there are some custom ROMs witch don't have this great app(s).
I'm searching for a apk or a Update.zip including the HTC syncronization software.
I'm not a dev or an expert, but i believe that there are some framework.res changes that have to be done for these apk's to work properly, and editing the framework isn't just that simple... if that was the case, I'm sure that most people would want the synchronization capability of a ROM with Sense in their own ROM's... and that hasn't happened for that reason...
The ROM wiki seems to be down right now and I was wondering if I can get suggestions for a good stable AOSP Senseless ROM for a clean Android experience.
Is there a repository for Sense Apps and Widgets if I wanted to add a few of them back in or do those have to be baked in?
I would like to see what the Android experience is like without Sense, but mainly I want to be able to use the WiiMote Controller App.
Are there any Sense ROMs with a full bluetooth stack that supports HID?
Thanks

Fresh is working for me. But I am a NOOB and don't have a clue what AOSP means.
Baked Snack is the best ROM hands down for beginners and experts. Herver really knows whats up.
Does anybody know if its possible to use a bluetooth gamepad with the currently available build?
I came to that idea while using Snesoid - I think that would be a really cool addition, but I remember reading somewhere that HID's are not ready to use yet.
Is this somehow possible, or will it be possible at all?
Thanks in advance
ElBartoME Kernels have HID Support ^^ So shu8i's Builds should work with that , try it out
