Does anyone have or found the same firmware as my info. i've been looking around and searched samfirmware, androidforums and etc and no one seems to have the same info as mine:
I5801 (bought in Thailand, but i live in USA using AT&T)
Firmware version: 2.1-update-1
Baseband version: I5801DXJG2
Kernel vesion: 2.6.29
Build#: Eclair.DXJH2
basically, i'm new to this and i just want to go back to the original state of the phone when i purchased it. I deleted a file that i actually wanted to stop it from draining my battery. i factory reset it but it actually screwed it up more (titanium backup said it's on my phone but don't see the icon, android market icon don't work have to go through internet and etc.)
any help would be greatly appreciated!
what is the file you are missing?
sorry, i made a mistake. the issue i'm having now is everytime i reboot my phone, i get this error:
Google Partner Setup (process com.google.android.partnersetup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. and I have to select Force close to get rid of it. Phone is still working but gets really annoying everytime i turn on my phone.

You tried locating it on samsfirmwaredotcom? You need to register to download (you know that).
If you have definately tried there, then u can tell us the original network it was locked to, and I'll provide you a link with correct firmware, and steps of how to do go back to original firmware...
yes, i am aware i need to register with samfirmware.com ( i already did). That is the issue i'm coming across. on it's firmware version it only list these for Asia:
I5800 I5801DXJG5 and I5801DXJG6. i am hesitant to download these cause it doesn't match mine ) I5801DXJG2 ( i was looking to just get it back to it's original state) If i scroll down more to that page to I5800/I5801, my firmware is not even listed there.
I bought the phone in Thailand with out a service provided and when i came back to US, i'm using AT&T.

I tried different machines before I sorted the connectivity problem to establish connection to my device until finally my PC can recognise my device.
Now comes the next headache, after getting the connection established I clicked on firmware upgrade - it came up and displays some updates are available -
it shows my current version as:
(PDA)JE9/(Phone)JE9
available update as:
(PDA)JF4/(Phone)JF4
When clicked on 'proceed' - it brings up some warning for me to make sure they are fixed before I proceed further like power cables connected and some warning of not removing or doing anything during upgrade, after I check 'agree' it starts the download by letting me know that the binary files for the new firmware is being downloaded and after the dowload there seems to be a wait creating impatience for us as to what next...after a few seconds I can see the message above the progress bar saying that the upgrade process has begun..
I can see the screen on my SGS display come with the android logo on some work (like road construction work) and the message telling upgrade in progress do not disconnect...it stays in that state for around a minute...no progress in the progress bar....Now suddenly the PC says 'failed to convert to upgrade mode, try later' and even after stopping my phone continues to show the frozen screen with 'upgrade in progress' (getting us confused and scared and dont know if I can unplug - will this brick my device all sorts of question) until I shut down my SGS and reboot to see it is normal as before but whenever I connect for the firmware upgrade all that I know is I am pending new upgrade.
I am stuck and can't proceed further - I tried it many times with many machines no luck. Please anybody suggest a way out.
Some info on my device: Bought in UK, sim free phone from Singapore Singtel as I see the operator's animation in the startup screen.
Other details on firmware:
PDA:I9000DXJE9
Phone:I9000DXJE9
CSC:I9000OLBJE9
In the settings 'About Phone' carries details:
Version: DXJE9
Kernel: [email protected]# (does this mean the device is rooted already?)
I have another question since I saw somebody mention in another thread that whether he/she should do a european firmware upgrade or asian firmware upgrade - I still confused by this question as well, which upgrade will be pushed to you if you are using Kies as it is just one same application made available for download globally.
somebody please help me with the upgrade issue.
isn't there any dev who can help me on this, it looks like i am the only one experiencing this!!!
I don't think many people are getting the upgrade options via kies at the moment.
I'm not seeing it on UK JF3
so hope, there isn't an issue with my device. I am weary because this was purchased from an online site but purchased the device after checking it personally.
One more question, will an unlocked phone get locked after any new firmware updates?
Are sim free and unlocked phones follow different philosophy ie., after unlocking a phone does that become a sim free phone forever.
Second question, how does the OTA update work - if you are not tied to a service provider - does samsung send these directly to all sim free phones automatically, looking and searching for IMEI numbers? and will a rooted phone be allowed to upate to froyo or any official update (for example) via the official Kies?
thanks
There isn't any offical firmware updates, via Kies, and or any other method.

Pls dont give wrong information. If you are suggesting something make it elaborate and clear.
I have clearly mentioned that I can see my current version as: (PDA)JE9/(Phone) JE9
Update available version:
(PDA) JF4/(Phone) JF4
thats what is displayed via Kies. I am also aware from this forum that some people can see the update whilst others dont see any.
Having said that, I was asking a techy questions as to whether a OTA upgrade or a upgrade via Kies from Samsung still happen if the phone is rooted and also if the phone is sim free and not attached to any service providers will the OTA upgrade will happen if so, is it based on IMEI number that will automatically be tracked OTA.

I was wondering if anyone found a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem.
I'm looking at this also.
after following this: (oh great, can't post links)
I had a problem updating to the official Foyo via Kies.
Finally got my PC to recognise the phone then started the update.
Phone screen went all green part way through and nothing was happening for about 20 mins so unplugged.
Phone would switch on but came up with a little picture on the screen and thats it.
so got it updated to JPM by booting into download mode and using odin. Took 5 mins once I downloaded all the files.
Hey all, I've got a few problems with my SGS I'd like to share:
- As per the title, I have an issue with mobile internet (2G/3G). I have my APN set up correctly, and the data connection does work. BUT if I use an application like QuickSettings to turn off "Mobile Data (APN)" then try to switch is back on it will not work. I have tried the suggestion to use flight mode for a while and back on but that doesn't always work. I noticed that when my mobile data does start working, the wifi icon is usually turned ON (which I had turned off).
Another issue is with the WiFi. It can sometimes turn on by itself, even though it doesn't connect to a network. Plus, there are times that the icon is stuck at "turning off Wifi". Any suggestions?
- Galaxy S GT-I9000 (uk version),
- One-Click Lag Fix
- Rooted
- using QuickSettings
- WiFi sleep policy set to "Never"
i read all of the above, but you did not mention which ROM you were in.
i read about some ROMs doing exctly those things you are trying to fix
best way is to load a newer more stable stock ROM
Apologies, I am a noob
Using 2.1 update1
kernel 2.6.29
I'm sorry, I don't even know how to find which ROM I'm using. I'm pretty sure it's the default Samsung ROM with latest update since Kies keeps telling me there's no update available. If that info is not enough please let me know how to find out which rom I'm using, thanks!
try this instead

ok, so apparently I have:
PDA: I9000XXJF3
PHONE: I9000XXJF3
CSC: I9000XAJF3
No idea what that means but there you go!
yup, that's way too old
definitely upgrade to something newer
do you have Kies installed?
if you hook up your phone to Kies it should tell you that there is a new ROM available

OK, finally managed to set up Kies in a way that it detects my phone in Kies mode...and it says there's not update available!
Eitherway, I Odin to flash to JM8 (official i think) and now the mobile data problem is gone...It feels like the phone is working a bit faster aswell. Thanks!
Same problem of zeusalmighty, but I have frojo rom updated from kies.
I don't know where else to put this since this phone does not have its own forum here.
Here is my problem...
My vista was rooted and I was going to sell it to a friend so I was doing a factory reset with the phones built-in option... And the stock factory reset makes it all the way to where I enter my first and last name and then after doing so I get this error...
LGsetupWizard has stopped (there are more words but this sums it up)
And then the Setup Wizard restarts.
I then go through the setup process again thinking it will go through this time... Same error message... LGsetupWizard has stopped, and it restarts itself.
I have searched for a fix for this EVERYWHERE and cannot find a fix... I cannot even find the stock rom/firmware for my device: AT&T LG G Vista D631
The official website has no download and the only "stock" ROM/firmware I can find is for the Verizon VS880 and it's counter parts...
Can ANYONE help me get this phone fixed and make it all the way through the LGsetupWizard without it looping/stopping/crashing???
Really need some help from the pros as I have exhausted all my tools/methods in finding a fix/solution.
EDIT: I am able to get into the settings menu (with fast fingers) right after I click OK to get rid of the error message.
I have turned on DEV MOD and enabled all the settings needed in order to flash stuff and put stuff onto the phone via computer USB...
How can I fix this problem if I am able to have access to DEV MOD on phone???
Problem solved.
I used LG D631 TOT DLL.rar and LG Flash Tool.
I forgot where I got these files from, but I am sure a simple search on a search engine will help you find them.
After I got it to boot back up, I used TitaniumBackup and found that LGSetupWizard was "frozen"... So I unfroze it and did the factory reset again and it went all the way through the LG Setup.
Hi not good with eglish please forgive, I have a new galaxy prime that has a strange issue, when I get the the welcome screen I am able to get past into the first startup but then I cannot get passed the wifi one, and whenever try to do so the next button is grayed out and I try to switch to wifi but it switches it back off again. If reflashing your stock firmware does not fix it and it is not caused by something you should return it for a replacment, it sounds like a problem with either the wifi driver or hardware and that is why your phone is unable to switch it on.
An internet connection is required to ensure your phone can be activated and also to make sure it has no attached google account (i.e stolen)
Try flashing the latest stock ROM with KIES or Odin, if its not fixed then a Samsung repair centre could also help

Telling me there is an error and not telling me what the error said isn't going to make fixing it any quicker?
Try finding the original firmware on sammobile.com and flash it with Odin. If you get any errors, tell them here so we have something to fish with
Maybe going back to the original stock ROM and then updating through OTA's before re-rooting would work.
Remember I need to know what the error said.
Edit; Also, try with different sim cards with data plans, it doesnt need wifi to go through activation, just an active internet connection
Hello!
Earlier today someone requested my help with his SM-T350 tablet which acted strange. It was incredibly slow and unresponsive and it was showing "Unfortunately, com.android.phone has stopped." from time to time.
This is what I've tried so far:
Delete Phone app cache from App Settings.
Delete cache from recovery menu.
Restore to factory settings from recovery menu.
Nothing helped.
I have checked the PDA code and it's T350XXU1BPI2. I am not completely sure from which country the tablet was bought (Canada or US), but I suspect somebody flashed a wrong firmware and the "Unfortunately, com.android.phone has stopped." is the main symptom.
Is there any way to find the original firmware code so I can flash it via Odin?
I am open for any help. Thank you in advance!

Did you try taking the serial number and going to Samsung tech support for possible answer as to the original firmware? That would be where I would start.
Sent from my SM-T350 using XDA Premium HD app
that firmware is from XAR ( US ).

Yes, the firmware that is on tbe tablet now is USA.. but you were saying that you didnt know where the tablet was purchased (Canada or USA). The serial number and a check through Samsung support should get you the right tablet country of pruchase and therefore get you closer to picking the proper firmware for download.
I can't imagine that there would be much of a difference between Canadian and USA firmware but who knows at this piont.

If I'm correct, go to www.updato.com and type in the build number in the search bar. The build number would generally be found in the Settings > About Device > Build Number, the ending numbers and letters should be saying the model number and the area code of where it would normally be purchased.
