It seems to me that I found a bug in the Swype keyboard when using Hebrew in landscape mode. It seems that there is a mixup in the lower row of keys
= gives 0
_ gives 9
0 gives 8
9 gives 7
8 gives =
7 gives _
As I said only in landscape.
Anyone got the same thing? Who to report this to?
How did you get hebrew on your swype?
try to get more help in the israeli forum of android...
and try SlideIT... better keyboard tool

Change default SIP (Sofware Input Panel)
I installed Spb Full Screen Keyboard and wanted to make it the default SIP (Sofware Input Panel). Some of the pre-installed input methods I never use, hence disable them makes sense. Here are some registry modifications I use.
1. Use a tool like SIPchange to change your default input method.
2. Disable an input method
Disable a keyboard/input method (disable=0,enable=1)
E.g. Disable Transcriber:
KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{F0034DD0-2AD4-11D1-9CB0-E84BE8000000}\IsSIPInputMethod\(Default) = 0
E.g. Letter Recognizer:
KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429690-AE04-11D0-A4F8-00AA00A749B9}\IsSIPInputMethod\(Default) = 0
More $SIP_CLSID$ keys
{198D503A-EFFE-4AFD-BC54-EED333C80E6D} = TOUCH KEYPAD
{62B00599-25D2-4E09-8C48-03BF26DB8517} = TOUCH KEYBOARD
{42429690-AE04-11D0-A4F8-00AA00A749B9} = Letter Recognizer
{42429691-AE04-11D0-A4F8-00AA00A749B9} = Block Recognizer
{F0034DD0-2AD4-11D1-9CB0-E84BE8000000} = Transcriber
{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9} = Keyboard

Little bit off topic, but any idea how to really disable XT9? There has been cab etc. around, but they never really worked for me. Every now and then XT9 is on by default when starting to write SMS for example = very annoying.
Yeah i have a similar problem!
i never use the touch keyboard or keypad. but when i use the normal keyboard with stylus that freaking black word-completion bar pops up. even when im in transcriber-mode and want to use that mini-keymap which has only the symbols and digits on it, that bar pops up and even obstructs the minikeymap. that means, when i want to enter a number like 1982, i press 1, then the bar pops up and i have to confirm the one in order to make that ****ty bar disappear and be able to press the 9! means, i have to do every entry twice!!
i thought, this is because word completion is on (even though i didnt understand why there should be word completion in transcriber or a full keyboard), but even after disabling word completion it remains the same. i found out, the only way is to switch to the touch-keyboard or pad and there switch from xt9 to abc-mode. then switch back to keyboard or transscriber and it works, the black bar doesnt appear on every entry.
this is annoying but would be acceptable if it had to be done once every time i switch on the phone.
BUT: as soon as i exit the word doc (because of an incoming call or just because i left it untouched too long and the screen switches off) and enter again, the same freaking problem araises again!
this really drives me nuts, please help me anyone! i have tried disabling the touch keypad and keyboard, but the keyboard still remains the default sip and the problem is the same still..
if anyone has an idea, please tell me!!!!
thanxinadvance

Hi,
I'm looking for a HTC keyborad like those inside bepe's Polaris 0.67 ROM...
The white three combination of keyboard... (Touch Keyboard, Touch Keypad and Touch Qwerty)
Anyone can give me the .cab file?
Thank's in advance
BYE, Bobo
The sipchange Cabs do not seem to work for me. I am using the Aserg ROM and the PCM keyboard, but even after installing the sip cab, it tells me that the sip is not defaulted to the PCm keyboard.
Any ideas if this sip change cab works with the Aserg Rom or what I need to set to make this work?

I need the stock Touch Cruise keyboards/keypads CAB too please! just installed Khanx but it's missing.
cheers,
this works great
sorry wrote this on the wrong thread
This seems like a rather minor question compared to the momentous improvements being defined for the Shift's WM6 side.
I have the GSM version with the European keyboard, so there is no @ key above the 2 as on the US keyboard. I notice there is a @ symbol on a key above what I think is an "egu" (the ' symbol used in some European languages), but I can't seem to get it to work -- neither shift nor Ctrl nor Fn work -- can anybody suggest how I can either use this key for the @ symbol or find it somewhere else on this keyboard.
Thanks!
You can create any keyboard layout using the microsoft keyboard editor for vista. It's a free downlaod and quite easy to use, specialy for changing just one key.

The semi-qwerty keyboard cab file is available if you google it. However after installing it, I realize the accent key on my physical keyboard does not work anymore.
This is the answer I got on the other forum:
can't be help, because the key actions are defined according to the keyboard layout, and the default layout which includes the accent key is being overwritten by the cab file. You probably can revert back to stock keyboard layout and the semi-qwerty/full-qwerty/phonepad SIP, but you probably will lose the T9 function.
alternatively, use the symbol key to type the accent characters.
Does someone knows how to solve this problem so both Full/Semi Qwerty and physical keyboard work together.. especially cause i'm using Croatian letters čćšđž
THX
I just realized I have the same problem. Maybe someone can help us have both accent letters and Touch HD virtual keyboard...
Is this only registry problem or maybe have to change some dll? anybody?
Up! Maybe someone has an idea.
nothing to do?
blackstone keyboard is the best but we wan't to resolve the accent issue...please help!!
nothing?
You could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=479464
Doesn't mess with the àü key.
Ok, I tried that keyboard, but it doesn't restore the accent key functionality. Maybe after a hard reset, but I wanted to avoid it.
Same problem here. Blackstone keyboard does my "au" hardware key unuseful - it dos not work.
Also T9 does not work with hardware keyboard.
I think HR is the only way for me - and you at this moment
Would SPB Keyboard 4.1 work without messing up the accent button? Is it any good?
I have the same problem, but with the Touch Diamond 2 keybord. It's really annoying
I had to lose all my data to update the firmware. After that I tried the SPB Keyboard and it's really good. It has layouts for a lot of languages and the accent key works.
ive used version 1 of this and it did not mess with my keyboard. this is the new version that just came out. i havent tried it because version 1 is working good enough for me.

Thank you
CHfish
Could you make another scandi-layout?
Hi could you make another layout?
ä = fn+a (same you had)
ö = fn+o (because origin keyboard has - symbol at o-key it must change to another key, i think better for - character is)
- = fn+p (origin _ symbol at keyboard, so you remeber this easy, and _ character i need rarelyand it can be writing with soft keyboard if needed)
å = whatever, i dont use

Hi!
Is there a change to modify the keymap of landscape softkeyboard?
In portrait mode there is easy way to type scandinavians like Ä+Ö+Å.
Just hold the A key and wait a second and there is Ä.
Holding S makes Ö and holding D makes Å.
But.. in landscape mode there are scandinavians but they arent
mapped to be second change of keypress.
Can anyone help?
Thanks and sorry for bad english
Anyone? Is there a way to modify keymapping of landscape softkeyboard?
Could you make this to have a letter for æ also??
That would be mutch apprechiated..
Thanks, TF3D2_Finnish.cab works fine with Diamond 2.
Big Thanks !! working well in my topaz.
Thanks A lot! I really like the touchflow language in finnish
Sweet
This is great!
Im thinking of future installing different ROMS and then this would be perfect. But i have the scandinavian keyboard layout with the letters already on the keyboard. So can you do a cab for the original layout as well?
So here's the layout:
Fn+I = Å
Fn+O = Ä
Fn+P = Ö
Fn+K = Æ
FN=L = Ø
I think this layout in particular would suit all the scandinavian handsets.
Thanks in advance

I cant install it... How???
Wonder if any can help or recommend something for me.
alot of my passwords use special characters like £ and $ and % and my old HTC one M8 had some of these mapped to the usual letters on the keyboard, so it was nice and easy to long press a key to get the character i was after.
with the default keyboard one the 5 i have to flip to an alternate layout to get the character i'm after.
does anyone know if its possible to change this?
thanks
