Problem with "People" on Legend / Titanium Backup - Legend General

When i go to "People" on my Legend it seems to cut off peoples names.
E.g. : It should be Wesley Hoornaert. But in "People" it says Wesley Hoorn, same thing for msgs, it seems to cut off part of their last name.
Its quite annoying since i can't sync their facebook pics to my phone contacts now since their names don't match anymore.
Anyone know how i can fix this?
Also, every time i try to uninstall an app using Titanium Backup my phone restarts :s, anyone know whats causing this problem?

Link to Facebook Buggy

I have a TMO TP2. This does not involve the fb app but rather the built in feature to link a contact to a fb account. I've searched the forums but haven't found a similar issue described.
When I go to a contact, click Edit Contact, then click Link at the bottom under the Facebook heading, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I can't consistently reproduce the issue but I can describe some of the common themes I see. It's unfortunate because it seems to happen more often than not and it's quite annoying.
Sometimes it pulls up my fb contacts list and lets me select a fb account and it works no problem. I'm not having any problems with delinking or anything like that. It appears to be an issue pulling up the list of facebook users. In those instances, the screen flickers as it tries to pull up the fb contacts and it appears to crash or something. The screen then flickers back to edit contact. If I try long enough or wait and try a while later, it may work for the same contact.
An error is never displayed when I do this although sometimes after trying to link a contact and seeing it not work I'll go back to the home screen I'll see that touchflo 3d is launching (indicating that perhaps it crashed) or sometimes it'll even require that I tap the screen to relaunch touchflo 3d.
Another possible clue is that sometimes in my list of facebook contacts I'll see the very first contact listed as (null), (null). I have no idea if this has anything to do with why it's crashing or not but that's clearly not one of my facebook contacts.
Last possible tip is when I go to all contacts and then click on the updates and events toggle at the bottom. Again, the behavior is inconsistent but sometimes it'll pull up that screen for a couple of seconds and without touching or scrolling or anything it'll show an error with manila.exe.
Is anyone else experiencing anything like this? Anyone have a suggestion for a possible fix or what I can do to further troubleshoot? Thanks in advance.
i know this doesnt solve your problem but it might do you good to know you are not alone cos I have a similar problem as well. I use the Vodafone stock ROM and recently when i try get click the UPDATES tab from my contacts, it crashes and relaunches TFD....I think something must have gone wrong with the connection. I then asked another person to log into into face book to see if this was still going to crash the application and sadly it did. I did a hard reset and i then did a restore from my last sprite backup file (which luckily for me, was just a few hours old as i ran a back up during the day). Now i cant get my own contacts back on the update tab and even though it does not crash anymore, I cant seem to link anyone in my phone book to my facebook app. I guess there is a file that needs deleting that can fix this. Anyone got any ideas?

[Q] Lost contacts

Pissed off because i thought titanium backup, backup'ed all my contacts and messages when it obviously friggin doesn't. Thank god i have them on HTC sense online. I have turned off HTC hub sync of fear that my blank contact on my phone will overwrite the ones online. All i want is my contacts from my HTC sense back on my phone, how do i do this?
Thanks
Point 1. Why on earth would you think Titanium Backup backs up contacts and messages?
Anyway, that's irrelevant. How about your Gmail account? Did you not have them sync'd there? Just tick sync again and they'll come back (contacts at least)
I don't use HTCSense.com, but I would have thought HTC Hub is what you use to sync everything back? I guess best to wait and see if someone in the know can help with that.
An answer to Point 1. Probably because Titanium Backup says it does.

Mine doesn't say that?

From Titanium Backup Wiki

For whatever reason I can't upload a JPEG screenshot so I'll copy/paste from the website.
6.3. Restoring your messages
To restore your SMS/MMS, call logs, phone book, and the like: Tap the “Backup/Restore” button, and scroll the list for those data. They usually appear in green letters with square brackets around. Then deal with them as you would do with “single applications”.
If they don't show up in the list, make sure you didn't filter them out: tap your phones menu button, select “Filter”, and set the filters appropriately.

Fair enough. I've never seen that before, and scrolling through my list, there's nothing I would trust to be the actual messages, to me it looks mainly to be settings.
Do we know that the OP specifically went in and pressed on one of these and selected backup?

[Q] Gmail contacts got deleted after sync

Hello guys, I am facing a weird problem that I have never faced before. I have one week old brand new Nexus 4 and its just awesome. But some little bug in the OS is just spoiling the whole experience. I am not sure if its a bug or not but surely it shouldn't happen.
The problem is I always synchronize my contacts with gmail. So whenever I added my gmail accounts first, all of my contacts just came into my phone flawlessly. But one morning I just saw all the contacts disappeared leaving a just few which are of no use. After googling and some small rnd I found the life saving option "Restore Contacts" in gmail contacts. I got them back. Didn't know the reason but thought it would never happen again. Today again this thing happened which really pissed me off.
I have used all of the android OS starting from GB to ICS but this thing never happened. I also found that whatsapp, facebook, wechat contacts are not synchronized properly without any reason. Contacts are not properly shown under "Contacts to display" option. Guys is this problem common in JB 4.2.2 or I am missing something to properly configure my phone. Please share your views friends.

Log in to your google account through a web browser. I'll guarantee all your contacts are still there. Either you are not syncing right or you need a factory reset/flash.
Gmail contacts also deleted when they are disappeared from phone

Thanks for your reply. But let me tell you one thing the moment I saw my contacts gone in the phonebook, I checked my gmail account also. The contacts were also not there. Then I performed a "Restore" action and the contacts came into gmail address book as well as in the phone. Hope I have made the problem clear now. :crying::crying:

Yes I restored my contacts they were fine. They came back to my phonebook but without any reason they disappeared again. I had to do same restore again in the gmail to bring them back in my phonebook. I had not faced this problem before. Thats why I am confused. And moreover can you tell me why no whatsapp and wechat contacts not shown in the phonebook while all the syncs are on? Please tell me if you have any ideas...Thank you in advance.

It's pretty clear to me. The OP added his Google account to his phone, sync'ed his contacts and then some time later found that they had vanished from both phone /and/ Google. He was fortunate to be able to recover them, but the fact that he was able to does not mean that it's not an issue. Likewise, the fact that it has happened again suggests that he needs a little more support that an implied PICNIC reply....

I'd be looking into apps here - if a contact is deleted on your phone, this deletion will be sync'ed back to Google with the symptoms you've reported. Have you scoured your phone for a potential rogue here (either malicious or, more likely, buggy)...?
thanks for getting it finally
thanks daern for understanding my problem. You read my mind. This prob should not happen. Do you mean that any malicious programs are running in my phone?? or any other issue is causing this weird problem. I am not sure tomorrow morning I will see all the contacts vanished again. Its been 2 times I am facing this.

Chances are some (non Google) app on your phone, which has access to your contacts is deleting them. I would backup your storage and "factory reset" your phone. If the problem returns, try removing apps with access to your contacts.

I have a similar problem but in my case there is absolutely no doubt that it is Google deleting contacts from my Nexus 4. I do not even want my contacts synchronized or backed up on Google's servers and prefer to use the phone memory (because I use other apps to back up my contacts). The first time Google deleted my contacts from phone I realized that I had only disabled synch for "contacts" but neglected to also do it for "people" so I made sure all of that was disabled before I went and started deleting duplicate contacts from Gmail (that's right, it not only deleted it from the phone it duplicated them there). I then proceeded to restore my contacts from a .vcf file directly to the phone memory and it worked fine at first. Then, the next day, Google had AGAIN deleted all contacts and again duplicated them on Gmail. The phone has Android 4.3 and is stock other than being rooted. I am hoping to avoid having to delete the google account from the phone altogether. Any ideas?

Android.process.acore help..

On touchwiz ROMs when ever I sign out of an app like facebook (or any other app that syncs to my phone) I get this "android.process.acore" error and it will repetitively pop up non stop until I clear my contacts storage in my application manager. Why does this happen and is there a permanent fix for it? Any info on this will be awesome lol
Can anyone on touchwiz sign out of their facebook app and let me know if their phone does this too please?
I read somewhere a few months ago that this is caused by your Google contacts just having like a phone number or something for a contact. I remember the person that posted said he download his contacts in excel or something, went through them and made sure every contact had a name, uploaded them back and it fixed the problem. That does not make a lot of sense to me because I used to have that problem every once in awhile. I did not do anything about it but I have not run into that in a long time. I may have just been lucky. FWIW. Good luck.
All my google contacts have names and phone numbers and no email address contacts. It doesn't happen on AOSP ROMs tho so I think its just part of these horrible updates that we been getting.
I only get this on almost stock v1.2 ROM. It pissed me off so I went back to AOSP lol

Loss of contacts

I have been facing this issue for a few months now. I have to restore or undo changes for contacts every few hours as they keep disappearing from google contacts on both phone and online.
I know how to restore contacts and I know how to undo changes and people offer this as a "FIX" but it is not, just a temporary until you lose contacts again and in my case that is every few hours.
I have restricted access to contacts on all apps, no change. I have wiped data for contact apps (lg contacts and google contacts), and no change.
I hate this thing so much and I don't know how to fix it.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue or even track the changes on contacts so that I can find the source?
Cheers,
