quick threaded sms/mms ?

I've searched all over and cant figure this one out...
My text messages are still threaded, but my mms messages are not. when I send a pcture I get a sent confirmation, but the actual picture is no longer threaded. I can see it in my sent item box, but not inside of the message with the rest of the conversation... am I missing something.
I have a vogue and am using arcsoft 5.0.31.25
can anybody confirm that their sent mms messages are still in the conversation? thanks
It always depends on the version of arcsoft that I use and the ROM that I use..
The ROM im using now with the same arcsoft version I have always used they are not threaded...In the old ROM im using they were threaded so I can't say for sure what determines that or not..
VER.5.0.31.16

Missing MMS after Flashing ROM

Hi there. Firstly I would like to wish all of the members of the forum a Happy New Year!
I have been running my HTC universal with the TOMAL v85 WM61 20764 rom image for some time now and find it exceptional, however, now my wife has moved into the 20th century and is capable of sending MMS messages I notice that there is no MMS capability to send or receive on my Universal.
Does anyone know how to install the O2 MMS App for the Universal? I have the original ROM image that came with the Universal, but do not have the knowledge of how to strip the app out.
Any pointers would be extremely appreciated!

ok just install the following app....
Thanks for the reply Rajivshahi, but this app was not designed for Windows Mobile 6.1 and does not appear in the Programs list.
Does/did anyone else have this issue on the O2 network? How do you receive MMS messages?
I have done a search on this topic, both here and in general web pages and can only find details of thesettings to use, however, when I go to messaging I do not have an MMS section, only SMS and email.
Yours perplexed....

Disable sms to mms conversion?

On all my previous phones I could send a text message that was up to 10 sms long but now after I reach the end of 3 sms, a popup sais converting to mms and i need a data connection to send the message which is really annoying..(since it costs a lot here in belgium and my sms are all free..) Any help would be greatly appreciated . .
Nobody knows how to disable this?
i think it'd be possible to change/remove the MMS settings in the APN settings, i think i've read somewhere that removing them will have ht ephone to finally send as text.
however don't take my word on it, i'm playing around with it now, and i'm not too sure about the consequences this would have for incoming MMS.
You can use Handcent sms. Theres option in settings to disable converting into mms
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Someone knows if there are some option or only settings (that i can download from the market) to disable conversion to mms without install other application?
thanks
Unfortunatelly, as far as I know, this annoying "feature" cannot be modified
I have fixed it by using a modified version of the stock application available here.
mod <int name="smsToMmsTextThreshold">4</int> to <int name="smsToMmsTextThreshold">100</int> in mms.apk/res/xml/mms_config.xml
The whole tutorial is on the thread that has been linked to above
unfortunately, while that is a solution for those willing to root their phones, it isn't for those who would prefer not to. Rather than using handcent, search BigSMS in Android market. It doesn't try and take over your entire SMS system like handcent. It just offers a nice simple frontend to sending SMS. It's not an OS Fix, but it's the next best thing.
either external app or rooting

[Q] MMS receiveng problems

Hello, i have tried to search several days solution for my MMS problems and it seems that no one has a similar problem, so i had to start new thread.
So, i have HTC Touch HD T8282, ROM version : 1.56.414.0 ( 43972 ) WWE.
Problems is, that if i receive new MMS, for example picture message, i cant see it in TouchFlo ,like i can see arrival SMS messages, and if i select "All Messages" and open that new MMS from there, there is option in right corner "Download". So after downloading has been succesfull, there are no picture anywhere. Where can i see my new received MMS ? Operator setting should be allright, cause mms messages worked my previous Nokia, and in MMS settings there are automatically conficured mms settings as a default. There are also error "Youre not allowed to send MMS" coming in upper bar, even tough i dont try send mms? Just receive. Dont know from where to start to solve this
Hi,
It's been a long time since I've move away from the original HTC ROM.
The manual indicate that you can change the settings going to:
start -> Messages -> SMS/MMS
Click menu -> Options MMS.
you may have a problem with your server.
If you are still in the original ROM, you may consider to move to a 6.5.x rom.
Brgds
Allright,is it difficult to update ROM ( I just got my HTC used and im kinda noob with these )? I think i should do it,maybe some problems would solve with update.
It is not difficult.
just follow the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999925
And go to the ROM development forrum and choose the ROM you like the most.
Brgds

[Q] Group text in GoSMS Pro

Hi all, I flashed my rom with GoldenEye recently (which is a great, fast rom with terrific support!), but since then, I can't send group texts with GoSMS Pro. It worked before on the stock rom and it works from within the stock messaging app, but not GoSMS. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks... Josh
Facing the same issue. It worked fine on my s2 with gosms but now it sends it all desperate. I remember a setting somewhere that lets you keep messages together, have to dig through there for a solution.
Edit: spoke too soon. Settings>advanced>send options>group mms
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda premium
Hey josh, I am having the same issue - I am currently on the GoldenEye ROM too, and group messaging on GO SMS no longer works for me. The stock messaging app works, but I was wondering if there's a fix to the GO SMS app (I prefer this because of their Emoji's). Unless anyone knows a keyboard app that allows for emoji's too? (I am currently using the Google Keyboard)
Edit - With the method Goliath mentioned, when I try sending a group message, it says "converting to MMS" and then gets stuck on the sending action. After about a minute, it gives me an "unable to send message" error. When I try sending a group message with this option disabled, it sends SMS messages to each recipient individually. The main problem is that my attempted group messages don't go through.

Hey beerdroid, thanks for the advice. I installed the emoji for english words language pack but don't know how to access it or pull it up (in GO SMS there's a plus sign to access emojis, but I don't have anything like this in my Google keyboard)
Do you know how I can find where this is installed?

try this. if you've installed the emoji pack then go into your stock sms and select menu > settings. scroll down and see if there is a "display" section. if so, mine has boxes that can be checked for "Emoji support" as well as "Quick emojis button". with these selected, emojis are supported and a button is implemented on the keyboard.

Dang i don't think my ROM (GoldenEye) has the Emoji Support or Quick Emojis Button options - let me try to flash AOKP to see if that works. Thanks very much for your help!
