I have a recently purchased O2 xda exec. And i did the Wi-fi setting by ad-hoc. Setting is ip:192.168.0.2 subnet marks:255.255.255.0. And my lotop Wi-fi setting is IP:192.168.0.1 subnet marks:255.255.255.0. It's working. And i can ping my Xda in my laptop. And i can remote contorl my laptop by my xda exec.
Then i also try to setting up the Windows media encoder v9.0 in my laptop. I also just type http://192.168.0.1:8080 in mobile media player v.9. my old pda OS is Windows mobile 2003 SE. And it can play the video streaming in my old PDA via wi-fi.
But why I can't view the stream on the O2 xda exec. The error I get is "Cannot find the file. The file might have been moved, renamed, or deleted...."
I also tried connecting using the url of mms://191.168.0.1:8080
I also tried to create an ASX file on a web server and have it point to the
above address with no success.
Both my encoder and PPC device are on the same net with no firewall issues.
When I use a service such as www.beelinetv.com, I can view all of that stuff OK on the O2 xda exec device.
I am encoding using WM9 150k video.
Any ideas ?

is there a way to stream media using ssh to the fuze?
hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has tried the combination of MacOS and ASUS services, including myCloud and myNet
I have been successful in using Teamviewer, inside my own home network, and had managed to use SplashTop mac version too, but MyNet service seems more complicated, first I do not know of a service which would let me set up a media server on macOS, so that I can stream files and videos on my transformer. anyone has suggestions?
also, is there a way to use splashtop service from outside of our network?
one last question : how can i click on items when i am using team viewer?
any help is greatly appreciated
RE: Remote NAS Connection
Hi all.
What's the best way of connecting to my NAS from a remote AP.
Would it be best to use a FTP connection?
If so, what app if any do you recommend.

Ideally SFTP would be better. I don't know what apps exist for that but FTP is unencrypted.
If your router or NAS can run dd-wrt or opwnwrt, you can setup an OpenVPN connection. That is how I access my NAS when on the road. I use ES file explorer to access the NAS over SMB after creating the VPN connection. The benefits to this are also that all your traffic from your device is encrypted and all local network resources are then available to you.
For what it is worth...

Thanks folks, I found a way to access NAS remotely and securely.
I used the "Ajax" file explorer, on my NAS and all I had to do was "request desktop site" and software loaded up
(Got to say after many returned messages telling me my server does not support mobile devices and trying a few apps to establish a FTP connection, I feel silly knowing I just had to request full site)
Something else I've learned...!

the app on the nexus player is codded for the US only
without a dns proxy or vpn you will need to remove the app
casting to it using chromecast from your phone will then work
i had the same issue
i originally removed the app but then i got a dns proxy so i put it back on

I am in the U:S. and using dns proxy for some European content. Maybe the dns service is causing it, but on all of my other devices it works fine. Will remove dns settings to see if that fixes it.
