Direct from developer.htc.com, here is a standalone package (zip) that includes the drivers for our phone to allow adb and fastboot (fastboot only with eng-spl found in the dev forum).
"HTC Android USB Driver for Microsoft PC - 5.5 MB"
Using this, you won't need to install the HTC Sync software anymore if all you want is the included USB drivers.
This zip contains HTC USB drivers for XP,Vista,7 32bit, and Vista,7 64bit. Release date is 11/22/2010. There is no automatic installer to hold your hand. You need to know how to install/update drivers for this to work. It's pretty simple.
If you want it done automatically, you can still install the HTC Sync software, but cancel the installer after the USB drivers get installed.

Link just takes you to Htc home page.
What's the point here?? Hummm wonder does this qualify as being lazy. Y not just grab the drivers, zip them up and post them. Just an idea.

Looks like your list of drivers for the phone
- Drivers (necessary/required) dont know what you meant, but I count that there is something
- HTC drivers
- Windows drivers
- Android drivers
First, uninstall all drivers for the phone, of course reboot is needed after that and then install these two: Windows Mobile Device Center and android drivers
Windows Update
After run HARET_PHOTON7227 and have fastboot screen, plug phone on usb and configure windows 7 to find drivers on Windows Update and install.
Does anyone have the adb drivers for the u8800 that works on Windows 7 x64 with the latest version of Aurora?
And could you please post it here.
I tried the other adb drivers posted here but they don't work /install.
EDIT: I used SuperOneClick to force installation of adb drivers and that worked.

I have win 7 x64. htc sync + official android sdk for win x64 made it right for me.
It is possible that my system downloaded drivers from the Internet also.
Did you try that (htc sync + official android sdk for win x64) ? You can do a online search for drivers (from the device manager).
