Hello i was new to this Modding Business and wanted to give it a Try, I think i messed up my Phone for good Please help this poor noob trying to take his first baby Steps!
Heres my problem, i made no backup and i have the Green clockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.2
I have nothing to Restore it back to 2.2.1 from tmobile, i Just got it yesterday and today its dead. can someone point me to the right direction to getting it back to stock. want to put the Stock image to the sd card and let the Recovery find it. but the images i get it says no image found and it stays stock on my touch Splash screen. i cant even Fastboot please help this poor lost soul!! thank you
ok ive Downloaded the pd15img.zip and it was installing perfectly untill i got this error that says Main Version is Older and its Aborted, what do i do next
I think its worse now The S-on is on now and its not off theres no more hope right?
Download this
Place on the root of your sd card, boot into bootloader mode and it will do its thing. When its done, your phone should be stock, and you can root and start over.
OMG DUDE!!! You Are a God Of Warez- Thank You Soo Much!!!!

Getting an error with a triangle, exclamation point inside, and a phone next to it. No matter what I do (even first day buying it from Sprint) I can't get it into recovery mode.
Also have Eris, cannot get into recovery mode, shows pretty much same error, except instead of a phone its an android logo next to the triangle.
What is this error and how can I get into recovery mode? I have to remove battery just to get phone to reset. any help is greatly appreciated --- thank you!
Because Im new to the site I can't post pictures, but the picture is linked to my photobucket account. .com forward slash albums/b239/PBlitz/DSC05535.jpg
thanks everyone
You will not get a recovery unless you flash one. You will have to root your phone to do that.
You can reboot phone by pressing SEND+MENU+END(power)

Go back to your NAND. DOesnt sound like you are bricked. Bricked is not being able to turn it back on.
ok thanks i will try that right now
rebooting..... (please work!!!!) (i really need my phone in the next few days)
HOLLY SHI it is actually booting the IC3 ROM right now !!!! thank you guys so much it just booted to the home screen!!! thanks for you help!
good news, btw just to let you know Ic3Rom has issues with JIT dont try to install it or you will most likely get a endless reboot cycle and have to nand restore again.

lol, didnt do anything. just rem, always nand before trying to flash anything. for reasons like this.
But thank you.
if you can get into your recovery..its not bricked...
honestly, its damn near impossible to brick your phone with the instructions that all devs provide...+ youtube videos make it even easier..

Just to let you know the LightningBolt rom already has JIT enabled so no need to flash an update on it.
EDIT: She's back. The problem is that there's many sets of instructions out there... some that I think are for not-so-bad bricks (if there's such a thing) and other (longer) instructions for bad-brick. LOL
Anyway, HUGE HUGE thanks to soundcolor over on AllDroid for his in depth instructions. The part that saves my a$$ were the parts that came after the rdlite run when the phone goes into boot loop again even after the reflash.
Link to his instructions here: http://alldroid.org/default.aspx?g=posts&t=762
Anyway, hope that helps other people who might get themselves into a similar situation!!
I could really use some help here.
I tried to install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749692
I was upgraded to 2.2 and before I installed it, there wasn't any post in the thread saying that you could install it on 2.2 (it said it was for 2.1... but lots of things are and still work on 2.2 so I didn't think it would be a major problem other than maybe not working).
Anyway, i followed the first step and pushed the framework file and it put my phone into bootloop.
So I tried to run rsd lite (sbf) and it did it's thing, but I'm still in bootloop.
Am I totally screwed here?

after the sbf finished did you take it off the usb, take out battery then put it back in and boot up from there?

hi paul. thanks for responding. see edit to orig post. all fixed. thanks though for helping out!!!
my phone wont restart after the framework-res push ....???
well, does this actually fix a bootloader problem? im just stuck at bootloader and i can't get into recovery or anything. just straight to bootloader.
also does bootloader erase all the files? meaning like roots and all?
I have a perm rooted desire hd europe model with s-off and fastboot and recovery mode on it.
I for some stupid reason chose in the system menu factory reset without thinking and now after rebooting it wont go past the animated htc logathing with the sound, it just does that over and over until i remover the battery
I can go into fastboot and recovery mode, but nothing more, can someone please help me to get this phone working again ? i would be very greatful to you, i just cant solve this myself i really want to hit myself right now
By the sounds of it you need to either restore a nandroid backup or flash a rom
UNLOCK OUR BOOTLOADERS
Actually on first boot, android phones take a long time to boot, and may appear bootlooped. Try letting it sit for a while.
Did you correct the problem?
I did wait and it just goes to the htc bootup logo and displays it over and over and over again with the sound.
What can i do, and how please help
Ok if you can get in to recovery and the bootloader your problems should be easy to solve. Do you have a back up of your original rom? If you do just restore your backup. If you don't have a backup you can flash a custom rom. Just make sure you wipe data and cache in recovery before flashing the rom
UNLOCK OUR BOOTLOADERS
Ok, i cant find any backup of my original rom. So i can only download a rom that looks as close to the original as possible (i remember that there should be original roms located in here at xda forums, cant find them now )
When i have downloaded that rom thats named something.zip, i only have to rename the zipfile update.zip and place it on the root of my sdcard and then first as you said wipe data and catch before doing the update, and that should work ?
There should be rooted stock roms available in the DHD fiorums, don't know where to find them though. But your rooted so enjoy the benefits look for the most popular rom and give it a go. The DHD has awesome development.
And when you have downloaded the rom place on the root of your sd card, choose install zip from sd card and find the rom you have downloaded no need to rename it to update.zip, select the zip and wait for it to flash. Then reboot and enjoy.

Hello,
I installed chainfire 3D ( Yes I know I should have read that jelly bean was no compatible) and am now stuck on the boot screen of my phone. I have got the factory hard reset menu up but don't know what to do apart from that. I have checked on other threads and they are all really confusing for a person that is new to android. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also can I just permanently erase user data or will this brick my phone?

No worries any help at this moment is appreciated haha. I just downloaded the stock rom and yep im in the recovery bootup thanks to this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUwi4YZWbyk
Once I download the stock rom what how do I install it. I don't mind deleting all the stuff of my phone I just want it to work.
If you had cwm you can use adb to remove the .apk via recovery.. twrp even made it easier by having a file explorer inside the recovery..
But if you haven't installed them both i'm afraid you're out of luck..

Recovering your phone at this point wont help you at all my friend :/ you have officially bricked your phone sadly this is beyond my level of expertise in the smartphone world i would take it to a local rooting/roming buisiness on craigslist or i think cricket will do it... call them up and let them know your problem detail for detail they will probobly tell you you soft bricked your phone there is a slight chance they may be able to fix it for 15-50 dollars depending on how bad it is
Can you still get into TWRP or CWM recovery?
If so then you can probably still use an adb interface to push a ROM.zip file to your phone to flash. If you cant then Im not sure how you would go about fixing because we do not have an unlocked bootloader so I do not think you will be able to use fastboot commands to flash a ROM. Maybe someone more knowledgable in this can help you out better than I.
same thing with me
Dude the same thing had happened to me on my gionee p3 and i tried everything but u have to just take it to the service centre and i got mine done for free as i had a warranty but if u dont u will have to pay and also this happens when u download **** things that take the main startup programs of ur phone
.....so best of luck
