Hi
I downloaded and installed a NAND rom [DL DesireZ v3.4][DL Data2SD/Ext4 v2.7][Nand/SD/MAGLAR][kernel:gpc] and enabled Clockwork
but now I Have only about 30 MB free memory available in the phone mem.
I tried moving apps to SD but somehow they still use a part of phone memory
so I'd like to know how to install apps totally to SD Card or if there's a way to keep Data.img on SD card Please
Thanx in advance

hi, how can i tell if all my apps is installed on phone's internal storage or the external storage card? I have 2 GB card, and wish to upgrade to 8GB one.
I am using Wildfire, with Android 2.1 official ROM release
thanx
If you are using a official stock rom, they will be installed to the phones memory. They will only go onto the sdcard if you are using a custom rom like wildpuzzle which has apps2sd activated.
and when you do have wildpuzzle with app2sd, you can tell they're installed on sd by looking at your phone memory , i have about 130ish mb phone memory instead of like 20 before xD. umm and they are installed auto to your sd card i believe, i think you have to check the sd-ext folder or something.
hi
i have installed NexusHD2 froyo nand rom, but i am running out of storage, so i can't install more apps. How can i install the rom with more internal storage. ?
Well you can install App2SD from the market and move some of the apps/data to your SD card.
Alternativley you may be able to mod your rom in some way to use App2SD+ which means that apps/data is automatically moved to a partition on your SD card.
Or if you can enable Data2SD you can use the same partition as a extension to you internal memory which is much better.
but i have tried to move nearly all apps to the sd card but still i only have 30 mb left

Hi,
I 'm not entirely sure of what you are trying to say,but if you are confused by the different amounts of memory you have, get Titanium Backup.
When you open this app,it will list the four different amounts of memory:
System ROM
Internal
SD card
SDcard (a2sd) ext
When using an ext partition, it's size doesn't show as part of the internal memory, but it's there.
but what is the difference between saving program on (sd card) or (sd card (as2d)) ... in rafdroid nand the internal memory grow up to 1150 mo ...

Hi,
DEVS setup their ROMS differently(squashed,unsquashed,odex,de-odex,etc.)
Each has different system sizes.
This will give different amounts of remaining memory.
Again, you can use Titanium Backup to move some apps from internal memory to ext on sd card.
Hello,
I have Hyperdroid GBX v12 and updated with UNoffical Patch for GBXv12 by disco_hk.
I have re partitioned my 8gb sd card to ext4 partition using the guide by Sentinel196 here. I've checked it with quick system info and I can see that Apps2SD is working (Total 0.98 GB, Free 841 MB)
When I remove the sd card from my phone to copy files from my computer and re-insert to phone, android freezes. Sometimes it does not freeze but some widgets or apps force close.
Now I can figure it may be wrong to remove sd card because a part of it is considered internal memory by system because of app2sd. But i searched thoroughly and came up with nothing that says "don't remove your sd card from phone while using app2sd" or anything like that.
So is it just me that has problem removing the sd card or is it a default thing.
Thanks in advance...
You are correct, and its because some running apps are on the sd card, along with the dalvik cache, and so when you remove it you are ripping out of chunk of running system.
Either use usb to transfer the files, and or turn off the phone before you remove it.
