Screen goes Black with Gingerbread? - Desire HD General

Hello Guys
Just tried to install allmost every CM7 mods for my DHD, but every time, when i receive a call, the screen goes black, and can't get awake again....
Whn running standard 2,2 Rom, there's no problems at all - so it must be a bug with the 2.3 version?
Does anyine have a solution for this?

Did you flash using clockwork recovery 3. The 2.5.3 is not compatible with cm7
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

Yes i did, tried both of them...
I didn't get any problems when flashing with CWM 2,5.... Other than the screen bug...
But that's the same with CWM 3,5

Sounds to me like you have a faulty proximity sensor. Do you have this problem with a stock rom as well? If so, I should try to return your DHD to get a replacement or repair.

There's no problems at all with the standard DHD Sense rom.... That's what wondering me - i tried restoring it, to confirm that the phone wasn't broken...

i think senseUI doesnt use the proximity sensor..
i am also having the same problem..
it was fine till today, i flashed build #30 however i nadroid backed to old builds (when is was working) and the problem persist.
I suspect my sensor is faulty..

hey go download Light Sensor from market.
Seems like my proximity sensor is working.. shows
lux - 59 in room light
lux - 7 if i use my hand to cover
lux - 137 if under my lamp
lux - 4k if i use my nexus one flash light.
if u are getting the same settings, i suspect there's a bug in CM7.

Bluetooth states

I've been doing some research on the states bluetooth can have on windows mobile 6.1, i have got them from this registry value:
HKLM\System\State\Hardware\Bluetooth
I have found the following states:
Code:
8 = "OFF/NoBrdcst"
9 = "ON/NoBrdcst"
11 = "ON/Brdcst"
13 = "A2DP/NoBrdcst" //bluetooth on before headset
15 = "A2DP/Brdcst" //bluetooth on before headset
25 = "Headset/NoBrdcst" //headset on before bluetooth
27 = "Headset/Brdcst" //headset on before bluetooth
29 = "A2DP/NoBrdcst" //headset on before bluetooth, if a call comes true and the state was 13, the state switches to this state after and just before the call
31 = "A2DP/NoBrdcst" //headset on before bluetooth, if a call comes true and the state was 15, the state switches to this state after and just before the call
57 = "callPrevStateHeadset/NoBrdcst"
59= "callPrevStateHeadset/NoBrdcst"
61= "callPrevStateA2DP/NoBrdcst"
63 = "callPrevStateA2DP/Brdcst"
It would be nice if this list could be extended. If you know a state not mentioned above, please post!

It would be nice if more states are known

Bluetooth issues connecting to Pioneer car head unit (logs attached)

I'm having intermittent connection issues with my Nexus 4 running CM10.1 and my Pioneer Z110BT. The Pioneer has been updated to the latest 2012 bluetooth software.
I can pair it OK, and it will work the first time but subsequent connection attempts often fail.
Usually I get in the car, the AVIC starts up, and I get a "cell phone has been disconnected" message on the AVIC. If I toggle BT on the phone a couple of times it will maybe connect. Maybe not. Just a pain.
Here's what I've done so far:
Unpaired/Repaired the Nexus 4
Updated the Z110bt from the v3 firmware to the latest 2012 update (same behavior before/after)
I've attached two log files. One that details a couple of failed connections and one that details a successful connection. The phone was not reset during this time, neither was the car stereo. I did toggle BT in between attempts.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
-Brett.
I managed to find what looks to be the point where things go wrong.
In the failed connection attempt:

No One but me is trying to port 4.3 to grouper?

Im working this afternoon on porting 4.3 from the Nexus 4 leak and I got it to bootloop. Im stuck thus far and asking for help. I have included a portion of the logcat that I am stuck on. Before you ask there is no libnetcmdiface.so in the 4.3 base. I realize that it is looking for that lib.
Next steps: find that lib in another 4.2.2 ROM and give it a try (who knows right) and also crack the ramdisk open and see what I can see in init.rc
I am using AOSP 4.2.2 as my base and the AOSPA 4.2.2 kernel

Why port it if we will get it in the next few weeks? There's already a leak for the n4 so that means we will get it soon. It doesn't really change much. For people that are average users won't notice a difference so there's no reason to port it.

Usually porting to a new version (ie 4.2.2 base and 4.3 port) requires some ramdisk mods in the kernel to get it booting, something not possible without the 4.3 sources (I dont think anyway)
On any ROM I have tried porting, if it won't boot it always seems to be because of media errors, or the need or a ramdisk mod
Sent from my Nexus 4 LTE @1.728 GHz on Stock 4.2.2
That's always why Nexus devices don't seem in such hurry to port new stuff cause we'll get it officially once its announced.
Are there any decent changes outside camera and tweaks here and there?

I also tried Ubuntu on my laptop and HDMI sound and video worked fine so must be a Phoenix issue.

I am running Phoenix OS in a Virtual Machine, it's on an Asrock H77M mini-itx, 16 GB ram, with an Nvidia 750ti and 2 usb controllers passed through via VFIO.
So it's basically an intel 440BX MB with the Nvidia 750ti. I had no audio in either Remix or Phoenix. Fixed it first in Remix, just because root seemed easier at the time.
Under /dev/snd I have:
controlC0
hwC0D0
pcmC0D3p <----alsa trying to use this one
pcmC0D7p
pcmC0D8p <-----this is the one I want
pcmC0D9p

Alsa is trying to use pcmC0D3p, which is incorrect
My corrected IEC958 levels are below, all these were off prior to the fix:

You may or may not have the same issue as I had. So you need to try all the pcm"s until you find the right one.
Go into /dev/snd and move the pcmC0D3p to pcmC0D3p.OLD (you probably need root for this)
mv /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p.OLD
Then link one of them to pcmC0D3p:
ln -sf pcmC0D8p /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p
Restart zygote
stop; start
set all the IEC958 to on:
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,1 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,2 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,3 100 unmute
Then play something using alsa_aplay, or try youtube. If you picked the right pcm then you will hear audio. If not, reboot and repeat the above by linking the next pcm --> pcmC0D3p. repeat until you find your correct pcm.
Once you ID your pcm you can make it permanent (switching HDMI outs on your card may break this). You def need root for this, edit /system/etc/init.sh at the alsa section:
esac
mv /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p.OLD
ln -sf pcmC0D8p /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p
# [ -d /proc/asound/card0 ] || modprobe snd-dummy
for c in $(grep '\[.*\]' /proc/asound/cards | awk '{print $1}'); do
f=/system/etc/alsa/$(cat /proc/asound/card$c/id).state
if [ -e $f ]; then
alsa_ctl -f $f restore $c
alsa_amixer -c $c set Speaker 65%
else
alsa_ctl init $c
alsa_amixer -c $c set Master on
alsa_amixer -c $c set Master 100%
alsa_amixer -c $c set Headphone on
alsa_amixer -c $c set Headphone 100%
alsa_amixer -c $c set Speaker 100%
alsa_amixer -c $c set Capture 100%
alsa_amixer -c $c set Capture cap
alsa_amixer -c $c set PCM 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c $c set SPO unmute
alsa_amixer -c $c set 'Mic Boost' 3
alsa_amixer -c $c set 'Internal Mic Boost' 3
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,1 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,2 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c 0 set IEC958,3 100 unmute

I also tried Ubuntu on my laptop and HDMI sound and video worked fine so must be a Phoenix issue.

Hi tried to use your fix for PrimeOS. Think the problem is the same and fix should work. I can boot in debug mode. can cd to dev folder but not snd. How can I do that? Thank you.
Hi, I've recently managed to install android x86 8.1 r5 on my Dell Latitude E6530 and got video out through HDMI to TV using LVDS-1:d via grub.
However I'm unable to get audio through HDMI.
Can anyone tell me why?
Here is what I get on terminal:
x86_64:1 $ su
x86_64:7 # cat /proc/asound/cards
