I realize that some people upgraded to EA28 OTA
And i also noticed that some people started having GPS problems with the DL30 rom
I believe it would be twice the work to go back to stock OTA to EA28 and then to DL30 but has anyone done this?
I think a new radio if not renamed radio was out for EA28 release
Please let me know if anyone has and how their GPS is working

Im now on ea28 and the dl30 rom. Ive tried dj05, dl09 and now the ea28 radio with the dl30 rom. My experience on all 3 is about the same. I wrote exactly whats happening with my gps in the thread "dl30 & gps". Hope this helps you out.

Do you know where i can get the radio source other than OTA?
Tonight, I did a full ODIN restore back to original stock, took the OTA upgrade to the EA28 radio, and then used Adrynalyne's cwm root method, then flashed his Super Clean DL30 ROM, and that seems to have fixed my GPS problem. I am now locking almost instantly. If you go this route, just make sure you have a good data backup.

I've been pretty lazy with keeping up with my Fascinate updates, partly because my 64-bit PC has trouble recognizing my Fascinate in Odin (so I usually use my roommates 32-bit to flash).
Anyway, I'm on DI01 (rooted, no voodoo, JT.04) and after the recent release of DL30 I want to update. Do any of you see any problems with flashing DL30 from DI01? Should I/would it be easier to go back to Stock-bloated instead of wiping and flashing from my current state? Should I update to DL09 first at least?
I would've posted this to development but XDA rules say that's a no-no for lurkers.
I don't think they have used di01 radio on dl30..only dj05 and dl09

You need the 05 or 09 radio. Just flash it with it.
Okay so yesterday i flashed the LEAKED Froyo DL30 into my phone. but i didnt know i didnt update the Baseband version. So i flashed the DL30 on DH12. And i flashed froyo, everything worked fine except DOWNLOADING & 3G & Texting... is there any way to fix this?? like go back to Eclair or over flash anything to fix this problem?? please help thank you

Why would you flash the ORIGINAL build's baseband on the latest build ???? Doesn't common sense tell you it won't work ????
To fix your issue, you need to flash either the DJ05 or the DL09 radio, which can be located under the android development section of this forum.
I think he meant that he's never flashed any radio newer than DH12, not that he downgraded the baseband. If you just flash the DL09 radio, you should be fine.

This should be all that you need. If it still doesn't work, try flashing the full DL09 package, then installing your DL30 rom/kernel.
FYI for those having Text\SMS issues like sending texts and them showing up blank on the receiving end and not receiving texts, I installed DL09 (was on DI Radio) and it fixed them right up! My wife is happy she can use her Fascinate again she was stuck on her old droid all day and wasn't happy

Flash the DL09 radio using odin and you'll be in business. GPS is darn near spot on too!

Woops that came out wrong. I meant flash the latest build ON TOP of the original baseband.
I am running DL30, just got the notice of the update for the puzzle lock issue, do I need to install this?

There is no MR for froyo. I believe that the message you are talking about is an update for those running DL09 or DI01. In which you could not make emergency calls when the phone was locked.
You shouldn't be able to use the vzw OTA client while running the DL30 leak. You would have to revert to an earlier stock ROM in order to download this update from verizon.
I'm unsure whether DL30 has the 911 issue this update is meant to correct but personally I don't think it's worth the trouble. If there is a problem I'm sure someone will post a more convenient fix soon.

Ok so alot of annoying thread about the release of Froyo for Fascinate owners....beyond that wether its true or not, what if i've already flashed my phone with the DL30 rom and my phone is already in Froyo?
Will this move (if it even occurs) mess up my existing Rom?
Will i have to re-root?
Will it Wipe the already B-e-a-u-tiful setup i have??

DL30 is an unofficial release of Froyo for the fascinate, by flashing it you have Froyo, if you wish to flash a new rom you will lose your "b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l" setup as you have to wipe

Im refering to the OTA Verizon pushes to our phone Captain, when EA28 hit me i had no knowledge until i got a text from them saying they did....hence why i asked, would this type of OTA push affect all my questions as above?

ya know i thought the exact same thing, but i flashed my phone with DL09 and re-rooted it, set all my Titanium Backups....backup, 3 days later somehow, i had EA28 and lost root??????
DL09 was an official release. Rooting your device isn't enough to prevent the upgrade (disabling the service that checks for updates is the simplest way to do it).
I want to get back to stock as if you just purchased the phone brand new. I also have voodoo if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Find the Odin package for DI01 (all in one) and flash that to your phone. It will revert it back to stock DI01. Then, you'd just have to get the DL09 and EA28 updates to have the latest stock software.

That means use the software update checker in settings. Though when I odined to DI01 the software update popped up immediately. I'm surprised it didn't for you.
Didn't for me, and when I check it just sits on "please wait" and then goes away and nothing happens.

I think what everybody is trying not to say is (settings, about phone, update, check new.) Rock on!
Edit: reboot, wifi off, then above steps should work fine.

Yeah I realized that after a few minutes. I'm just not used to updates with this phone, so I didn't even know there was an check for updates option. Didn't work though.
Whether it comes tomorrow or not, I have my bloatless Froyo and I'm happy with it.

how did you manage to have a phone with voodoo on it when you seem to know nothing about the phone at all? And did you even take 5 seconds to do a search before asking things like "where can I get di01"?
