[Q] DL30 not able to send texts - Fascinate General

I upgraded to 2.2 last night using sonofskywalker's 4.01 buildyourown DL30.
Everything is running well except for text messaging.
I am able to receive texts, but when I send texts the person on the other end receives an sms notification, but they do not receive the actual message itself.
Does anyone have any insight on what could be causing this? I've already tried switching the DNS resolver twice and it had no effect.

Sounds like you need to use Odin to flash a newer modem. You will need the 05 or 09 Modem and also a 2.2 kernel properly installed in order to resolve the issue you are having. Good Luck, it should be a piece of cake to fix =)

Search on here theres a link to the dl09 modem adryn posted.

OK, I tried flashing the modem first, and it worked perfectly. Thanks, I would not have figured this out on my own

You're welcome! Glad i could help out!

ICS: Cannot receive SMS. Help!!!

My friend has a Moto Defy (red lens) running Quarx ICS 5-Mar build. He is unable to recieve messages but can send. Tried multiple SIMs but same problem. Please help; in case you need the SMSC number it is +919032055002
Did he try changing his radio/baseband/modem? Can he receive on GB?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
check APN ,make sure its correct and the baseband
It was working fine on Froyo and even ICS few days back (skipped GB). I will check the baseband setting but can only do it tomorrow now. Curious how would APN settings matter in regards to SMS.
Are you sure that number of SMS center is saved in the phone ?
i am having a similar problem [green lens defy]..i usually can send and receive text msgs..but if the phone is inactive for say 5-6 hrs, i stop receiving msgs..if i send some1 a msg after that then again i start receiving msgs..had this problem on GB as well [currently running ICS]..any idea why this is happening..??like the person who started this thread, even i am from india..
ps:i am on the correct baseband..
Issue resolved
My friend himself resolved the issue by downloading another messenger app! I don't know but it did get fixed Anyways, I have set his baseband to correct settings.
Same issue fixed
I had the same issue on ShoStock rom on my SGH-I777, Put my sim in another phone and was able to receive messages just fine, BUt when I had my Sim out, I did a simple reboot on my phone and then put the Sim back in and rebooted the phone again and everything works just fine. I am pretty sure it had something to do with the efs folder and the IMEI number because when the sms wouldn't work, I could not open the efs folder but after the reboot and the sms working I can open the folder and view the contents,

[Q] [SOLVED] ATT G2 (d800) KK Modem - Outgoing Texts get Stuck

I have tried several different KK ROMs that use the KK radio. Everytime I use the KK radio, my outgoing text messages occasionally get stuck. It'll show the sending area but will take 2-3 minutes to send, then go back to normal. This occurs randomly but with enough frequency it is VERY annoying.
Flashing the old modem to the KK ROM fixed the text sending issues but, of course, breaks many sensors. Anyone else experience this? Like I said, several different ROMs have been tried.
I have tried stock messaging apps as well as GoSMS. All have the same issue. I am using the ATT "phone" APN and all settings are correct.
Also oddly, I'll still receive incoming messages while outgoing is stuck.
Any thoughts?

I have the same behavior and now after reading your post it does remind me that my issue with this started when I flashed the KK baseband too. I had forgotten about that so never correlated the two together.
I have the same issue on the stock unrooted D800 ROM. Seems bigger than I thought. I wonder if It has something to do with the selected APN.

No other apn reliably gives me LTE.
However, I would think since they were able to patch the KK modem to support aosp sensor setup, that there would be a way to patch the old modem to work with the KK sensor setup.
Solved?
So with the AMAZING help of awesome xda member dr87, I created a patched KK modem. This modem file is the KK modem patched to use the 10d radio.
This is for d800 only.
I just created it tonight and flashed it. All sensors seem to be working and I have service. Only time will tell if this fixes the SMS issue. The baseband in my software menu did downgrade to the 10d version.
If anyone else wants to try, flash at your own risk. If this solves my problem I'll probably toss up a threat in the d800 forum.
Good luck!

(For people unfamiliar with Google Drive, click the download button at the top to download the flashable zip.)

Not receiving text messages on AICP or CRdroid nightly dated 2/12/2017

Hello everyone! I seem to be having some bad luck with this device. I recently switched over from the horrific LG G4 to this device and so far I love it! However, when I flashed the most recent of each of these roms I am unable to receive text messages. Any help would be appreciated.
I am on the Sprint Network.
After restoring back to my stock backup I am still unable to receive Text messages. Could this possibly have something to with the modem? Should I flash over the stock modem for 6.0+?
I flashed the Modem from this link and I am able to receive MMS again. Still no text messages however. So for anyone who is experiencing this give that a shot.
Whole issue was caused by Google Voice. So i anyone is having this issue, remove that.

Problem sending/receiving SMS after flashing 727 into my 720

Good evening everybody, annoyed to not be able to use AndroidPay on my phone I decided to try something "risky"; so I got back from custom rom to stock rom, restore the recovery and look the bootloader again following the beautiful tutorials I found in this forum. Just to name a few:
To restore and lock your bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/guide-return-to-stock-lock-bootloader-t3539513
I had to re-flash the recovery because I forgot to set the correct build prop settings: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/leeco-le-pro-3-root-t3476560
So, after going back and forward few times, I was able to get phone signal and everything look fine, I was even able to install Android Pay and make it "work"!!! until I reach the SMS verification of my card... then I discovered my Phone is not receiving nor sending sms.
Please can one of the big gurus in this forum enlight me? what did I miss? I'm able to call and receive calls, but not SMS.
I'm sure it may be something relatively stupid.
Thanks in advance!
Strange, all suddenly I started to receive the messages, 3 hours later... probably my carrier had a service outage.
We can close this thread!! Thank you everybody for the amazing job you are doing here!

Help my galaxy s7 edge g935fxxu1apb4 microphone stopped working for cellular calls

I got a used UK Vodafone Galaxy s7 edge. it came preloaded with marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware, I tested it and everything was working fine. However, a couple of OTA updates were pushed to my phone and i installed them. I practically upgraded to G935FXXU1DQBT UK From the old one which was G935FXXU1APB4_G935FVFG1APB4_VOD.zip. And as far as i can remember, that was the beginning of my travails. I discovered that anytime i make a call using my sim card, the person am calling will not be able to hear what am saying. Initially, i thought that it was due to a hardware problem with my microphone but alas nothing is wrong with the mic physically. I have made VOIP calls with skype, whatsapp, imo, BBM and my callers could here me. I have also recorded my voice using the stock voice recorder and it was very clear. If i use a Bluetooth headset everything works fine, if i also use the wire default handsfree, i tend to hear and be heard. My problem now is; I am not being heard whenever i call anyone with my cellular network but am being heard when i make internet calls.
I NEED HELP TO RESTORE MY PHONE TO FULL FUNCTIONALITY.
I have tried downgrading to this file and still no changes: G935FXXU1APB4_G935FCOS1APB9_COS.zip
I have also upgraded to this file: SM-G935F_1_20170221141313_9mj3raac8n_fac.zip and yet the problem persist
I have wiped cache and factory reset in recovery still no luck.
I flashed all the files in the zip package via odin including CSC, cp AND ALL.
WHAT I HAVE NOT DONE YET
I am yet to flash just only the AP via odin( i do not know if this might help)
I am yet to flash the exact rom vod uk 6.01 G935FXXU1APB4_G935FVFG1APB4_VOD.zip via odin because I couldn't get a direct link. My internet is not fast and i only saw the link on sammobile which is very slow and unstable. I will appreciate an alternative link to that file if that will proffer the solution.
I NEED HELP ABOUT WHAT I NEED TO DO BE IT SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE OR EVEN ROOTING.
I WOULD HAVE LOVED ATTACHED IMAGES OF MY FIRMWARE WHEN IT WAS STILL WORKING PERFECTLY: BUT I COULDN'T GET TO DO THAT.
MY EMAIL is info @ yahoo.com in case you want to help
i need help with my case
i need help even if it means rooting my droid to get solution
