[Q] Does RubikS 0.3 DL30 include the kernel? - Fascinate General

If I am going from DL05 and install the DL09 modem through ODIN, then the RubikS 0.3 ROM does it come with a DL30 kernel or will I have to install the kernel through CW separately? I searched but can't find a download that just has the DL30 kernel. All I found is the full DL30 ROM + Kernel.

Open the zip file you downloaded and see if it has a kernel_update folder. If it does, then it includes the kernel.

Di18 rom and kernel

Can someone post these as .zip so we can flash them through cwm? Is the Di18 rom still the di07 rom?
Here is the ROM update file: S700.0.5S.DI18. Just put it on the root of your sd, rename to update.zip reboot into recover mode and let her rip.

[Q] Going from jfd to ji6 kernel

Can't figure what am I missing: I had ji6 kernel, flashed backsupport files and TW core v1, which worked fine, but I ran into an overheating issue and would like to go back to ji6. Saved the corresponding clockmod zip for ji6 kernel to sd, tried to flash - no go. What am I missing? Should I first "undo" backsupport somehow?
You may have to odin back to stock jfd then to ji6. But why don't you try one of jacs or kks kernels before you take the plunge back to stock.
Samsung Vibrant using Bionix Final w/ z4mod
Thanks, this is one option indeed. Btw, why would I need to flash jfd first? Can I just odin straight to stock ji6 rom (with the "upgrade" option?). Also, is there a way to revert backsupport to the original ji6 files? - that way I could just flash ji6 kernel again...
EDIT: as usual the solution was already there, I just didn't search well enough:

I have packaged this up for all who are interested... it can be found here, rather here. If you do not have ClockWork installed, just rename to update.zip and install through Samsung recovery as usual. I couldn't get the update.zip method to work, although I only experimented once.
And here, rather here is JAC's kernel (Vibrant OC/UV V1.1 CWM Recovery) along with the Old kernel back-ported files.
And here is JAC's kernel (Voodoo OC/UV Beta4 CWM Recovery V1.1). *I have not tested this kernel due to having the larger NAND.
KingClick's CFS Kernel #3.

Stock JI6 kernel with Backport removed (Replaces the Backport files with JI6 lib/system originals as well as flashes the stock JI6 kernel.)

ROM Manager with Official Froyo not possible?

I just installed JPA firmware through Kies.
Then i installed ROM Manager to create a backup.
But when i try to create a backup it gives an error in the recovery menu, saying it can't run the update.zip file (to run clockworkmod i believe)!
I realised that the recovery menu is different!
What's wrong?
I cant use ROM Manager anymore?
Im assuming because when you flash froyo you get 3e which doesn't accept zip's signed with testkeys, only accepts release keys.
There are plenty of options/threads to get 2e back.
Ps wrong section
Yeah, i just realised that i have a new recovery mode (3e).
Are you talking about this version?
"[30.10.10][CF-Root v1.2] JPH JPK JP6 JPM JPA JPO - superuser+busybox+2e, CWM compat!" from Chainfire
You talked about plenty of options but i only found that one.
There are other options without using ODIN? Because i never used ODIN...
Just flash the speedmod kernel, it has 2e recovery and lag fix options in there, very nice.

How to fix voodoo5 0.00B error + FC loop. For DJ05.

This is for voodoo5 only. If you used voodoo 0.2, the tar archive should have the zImage from the kernel that you used.
This is NOT the same as the voodoo 0.2 fix, but it is similar.
Requirements:
Odin files + Odin = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782204
Voodoo5 zImage inside of a tar archive (updated to jt's voodoo5 1213 kernel) = http://www.mediafire.com/?p3jqtq2j4ongdg5
1. Flash all Odin files except for recovery.
2. Flash Voodoo5 tar archive.
3. Flash the system Odin file again.
4. Disable voodoo by creating a file in /sdcard/Voodoo called disable_lagfix OR boot into red clockworkmod recovery voodoo edition (if available) and go to the Voodoo menu to disable.
5. Install the ROM you used before/do a NANDroid restore after a data wipe.
6. Enjoy
well then what good are you if you cant tell use where the file is that fixes the issue we are having. kinda get the point your post is worthless. burn baby burn

Any threads that contain a download link for any reference to the DJ05 or another leaked ROM will be removed for the safety of the source. Some of these ROMs are watermarked and can be tracked back to the source causing them to potentially lose their job. The offending thread will be closed, edited, and OP will be warned for their actions.
Thanks,
CK

[Q] How do I get CWM on JVP

I'm installing Juwes JVP ROM and I've gone to a stock JVP ROM as per the instructions. The next step says I should flash a CWM kernel but gives no further instructions. How can I go about adding CWM support to my kernel?
You can flash a cwm kernel using odin.
Speedmod has a jvp kernel which you can download. Then its as simple as putting your phone in download mode, fire up odin, under the pda section select the speedmod kernel file you downloaded, connect phone to usb cable and hit start.
The phone will then reboot and then you can access cwm using the three buttons on power up.

Read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108 about that.
For stock 2.3.4 I have installed CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVP-v3.7-CWM3RFS.tar with ODIN.
