whenever my HD2 goes to sleep mode, and when i press any button to activate the lockscreen, there is a delay before the lockscreen appears. sometimes this delay is more that 6 or 7 seconds. did any body face a similar problem and is there a fix for that?
I am on a stock ROM and not using CHT.

this is not normal; never happened to me when on stock. but, often this is from software installed or bloatware installed.
options in my opinion - uninstall programs. or hard reset. or flash a new rom; this latter one is probably best!

my back button suddenly change to lock. so instead of going back to previous screen, it lock the computer
not really important, but annoying. on my original rom, same programs i installed without any problem. but when i started playing with the rom/s this problem appear. even when i tried to go back to the original rom, the rom does not disappear.
i've installed rom, hard reset many times. cannot make the problem goes away. funny..before this on original rom...got no problem.
the other problem is the sleep mode time going too short 15s, regardless what ever time i set i.e 5min, 30min. it still goes to sleep at 15s.
which registary i need to modify in order to solve this two problem

i have a problem when waking up the phone when i press the power button. when i press the button it takes 2- 5 seconds for the screen to come to life. i have hard reset my device 2-3 times and nothing. i have disable all syncing, and i have to mention that i have root and stock rom on my device. (rom 1.32.405.6) any ideas?
Have you ovetclocked your DHD? If your clock speed is too low you may experience delays when using it.
i had set cpu running low when in sleep mode, but when i hard reset it i did not install it again. still the same lag to open from sleeping mode.
Get the ruu and reflash it when all else fails start from scratch

so, finally it seems that the problem is coming from the skins. if i have the default htc skin on my DHD the phone comes to life instantly, but when i have a different skin on, then the same issue. so if someone else has this problem, you could try it out.

In past few days I'm facing some weired issue related to slider (used for unlocking the phone). When the phone is locked and I receive any SMS, the phone doesn't get unlocked when I try to unlock it by moving the slider down. The slider gets hidden but phone doesn't get unlocked.
When I tap the phone again the slider reappears.
When this slider hides, even I cannot switch off the mobile. Only option is to remove battery from phone and restart the phone.
Has anyone faced similar problem?
Any resolution for this?

Ok, you can try to re-patch the Original Rom or you can try to install a cooked room...or try to...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238809 maybe resolves your problem

Tried option mentioned in the thread .http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1238809. The installation process got stuck in between and then phone never started again. Had to reinstall original ROM again.

I've had my phone about a month now. I rooted it the day I got it. It seems like whenever I wake it up from long sleep or get a text message sometimes and try to wake it up, it freezes during the swipe and then randomly reboots. Sometimes it'll just make it to the att symbol and lock up again making me hold power down and then turn it back on. Then it works fine for a good period of time before the issue happens again.
tried- returning phone to stock. Didn't fix. Tried uninstalling att bloatware, not as frequent now but still happens. I have tried underclocking using rom manager. Didn't change anything. Next step maybe to try a custom rom and see if maybe there's a problem with my factory rom? Right now im in safe mode to see if its a third party app.
Is anyone else having this problem or should I consider warranty issue?

It just did this in safe mode, so it must not be a third party app issue. I'm thinking about trying to install wicked rom following directions on galaxys4root.com. If it still freezes I think it may be a hardware issue.. Anyone have any thoughts?

My phone was/is doing the same thing. It seems to me like the phone is working now and I haven't had it freeze up since last night. Every time I install Swiftkey it starts freezing up and I have to pull the battery to reboot.

So I just had this problem after I woke up yesterday. I googled a lot but only found similiar problems.
Let me tell you what happened chronologically:
After turning the phone on in the morning it started updating apps as if I was doing a firmware update: "updating apps 1 of 135" etc. Note that my nexus was already running on 5.1.1 and had the latest updates installed.
Now it randomly freezes the screen on whatever screen it was before it happens and it won't respond to any touch input. This can also happen when not using the phone, then it will freeze at the lockscreen (the time freezes with it so sometimes i can see at what time it froze). Also, it loses connection with Wi-Fi as i'm using Whatsapp Desktop when i'm on my laptop and it mentions me that my phone is not connected.
The only thing that "fixes" (temporarily) it is a reboot. Now sometimes, on the lockscreen, i can just hold the power button and the pop-up comes in to turn the phone of, which i can somehow just tap on an it responds by turning the phone off. But sometimes (less frequent than the latter mentioned) the pop-up doesn't come in and holding the power button for a few secs will do the trick.
I hope I informed you all enough and my end question is: does any of you know what this is? How i can fix it or what i can do to prevent it or anything as I am hopeless. (my G3 is up for reparation so this is my sisters old phone, i had a nexus 4 myself for 2 years before the G3).

The best way to test it is by reformat the OS.
I positively think that it will solve the problem.
Since the phone is no longer under warranty, I guess there is no harm to install custom rom on it. They are fast and stable too.

EXACT thing happened to me too. Backup your data and hard reset from recovery. This fixed it for me

Then it's time to change the screen or phone. Looks like it is a hardware issue.

I agree, your screen needs to be replaced.
