Just received the mobile...wow...great terminal!!
i found a little bit of lag in scrolling but i suspect is due to windowsmobile....very soon i will move to android

i have installed garmin...but its not receiving signal from satellite.
To be honest i'm not even sure that the gps module is working.

Hey,
I am currently running the 1.48 rom and the problem is sometimes when i wanna turn my HD2's camera on it says came couldn't be initialized (have to reboot to use it) the other problem is that some times the camera will not turn on the light the button gets grayed out for some reason. i HAVE NOT applied the came fix since it messed up the led light completely and not even 10 resets fixed it... when i last installed it.
Anyone has the same issue?
hi,
usealy the camera refuses to turn on the (flash)light when your battery is lower then xx%, i dont know the exact value but if you do a search here in the board you will find it.
for the crashes i cant help you out, but having a look into the various camera threads here may also be helpful.
regards mad
There are a few threads about the camera intitalisation already, and I believe I was the first to submit one. Anyway, I have recently found out the Opera 10 Beta strangely enough caused the issue. I havent experienced the problem since uninstalling it so....give it a try (assuming you installed Opera 10).
Hi there my GPS was very quick under Kitkat with immediate fix and perfect compass. Under Stock Lollipop it still worked well enough. Since I use [5.0.2][D802] Google Edition 1.5 my compass doesn't work anymore and GPS doesn't fix at all or takes 10 minutes shows wrong location and looses signal again
I don't know whether the problem is the ROM or that my phone fell down hundreds of times.
Anyway I already tried the apps fasterGPS, gpsStatus and TopNTP without success and did the cardboard mod hardware wise.
Please help I want to play Pokemon Go
Hi all,
I recently upgraded from 4.4.2 stock rom to 6.0.1 stock rom and everything worked fine except the GPS. I tried a few different fixes like changing the gps.conf, and a few different apps and could see there was some signal but it could never seem to get a lock. Sometimes it seemed to get a lock for a split second then drop it again.
I ended up going back to my 4.4.2 and GPS works fine again. So the simple conclusion is this is firmware based. I'm no expert but would be willing to help if someone wants to investigate this further. There has to be some GPS related files from the KK firmware that can be exported to MM to make it work

GPS has always been kinda weak and slow due to the module itself. Did you experience the auto brightness bug as well?

Auto-brightness was working fine for me. Just the GPS issue noted.
Hi guys,
I've got an A2017G running A2017UV2.1.0B12 (So European running American firmware).
It's been working great for years, but recently the GPS antenna stopped fixing satellites. Previously the GPS was a bit slow, but I'm confident it was working to some extent. Now it's unusable.
It does see lots lots of satellites when I run the GPS status app, but does not lock to any even after resetting the AGPS data, recalibrating the gyro and accelerometer... I've tried installigh stock A2019G firmware and the problem was not resolved. I have made some hardware changes over time (battery and vibration motor), but I'm not sure the problem started after one of them. Yesterday I opened the phone and tried to identify the GPS antenna contacts, but wasn't sure which ones I had to look at. They all seemed to make good contact and I even tried forcing a contact with alluminium foil. Nothing. GPS Status reports the GPS sensor is working, not sure if that's reliable data. Does anyone know where the GPS antenna is?
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue or maybe something went wrong with the firmware radios (not sure I fully replaced everything replaceable when I installed European software).
Any ideas? Thanks!
Hello,
Every time i am driving my car i am using Blitzer for speed cameras and Amigo for warnings on the speed limit. Since i updated the S10+ with Android 11 i have noticed that as soon the display goes dark, both apps stop working. With this, i mean they both lose GPS connection so i do not receive any warning. Did not have any problem before the update, now i do not know what to do. I've tried everything. They are both NOT battery optimized, with all permissions granted, an still nothing works. What is worse is that even the GPS connection is not so stable as before. It takes a lot more time to get a GPS signal although i did not change any setting.
Does anyone had the same problems?
Thanks in advance!
Later edit
So, for those interested, i have solved the problem for both apps.
For Amigo (by TomTom) the solution i have found it was switching the Location permission from "Only when it's in use" to app to "Always". It started working again in the background.
For Blitzer.de i have the solution by accident. The culprit was a Bixby routine that was suppose to start the app as soon as it was connecting to my car's bluetooth.
As soon as i started the app manually everything started to work again in the background.
I would like to point out again that both apps were working just fine until i have updated to Android 11.
Hope that my findings will help also someone else having similar problems.
Happy Easter !
