Hello Fellow Clockwork recovery users
question in regards to the resolution of the recovery screen on the wildfire
is it just me or does it not quite fit the screen corectly? like word wrap is turned on? looking at other images on the net it looks diffrent, like its fit better.
is there a setting or config i can mess with to fix this
sorry for bad english im dislexic

The other images u saw are from phones with much higher resolution screens which can accomadate more text per line. We have a very low res 240x320 screen, with which you either can't fit everything or you have to make the text smaller making it harder to read. In clockworkmod readability is given preference over fitting everything.

I thought that might be the case thank you for sorting it out. Shame there is not a configuration that gives you the option lol.

Hi everyone,
There are a few deal-breakers for me coming from WebOS. Is there anyway I can sync my exchange calendar and have email signature for exchange account?
Is there anyway I can make the icons larger? I love the screen real estate for browsing etc., but it just look ugly to have tiny little icons sprinkled sparsely in this beautiful large screen.
Edit: I should mention that I'm on O2's leaked beta 2.1 (on ATT), not the official one.
I've rooted my phone, but I don't know what I can do to fix these issues. Thanks for your help!
I came from webos as well, i just wanted someting with better multimedia and screen. I think the streak is great at least until palm launches something new. I like android but i will switch back for sure to webos for sure.

For the icon size you could change the dpi but then you loose a lot of screen real estate, it would just look like a blown up screen of an evo.
You can change the dpi through build.prop in the system folder

hey guys i was wondering if there is any way (or maybe app? ) to change the display settings on hd2 or android in general
i searched some other threads but somehow nobody knows how it goes^^
Try lcd density changer. I found a few in appbrain market, finally found one that works on my hd2, check your default before changing anything though, the first one i tried for some reason when i rebooted my screen was black, like i could touch things and feel the haptic but no screen. I had to clean install my android rom. I think the hd2 is default 240 and i went to 220 and it was cool. Some apps dont scale right but others are fine, and the font is much crisper imo

LCD density changer doesn't seem to change contrast/saturation but only pixel density/resolution.
Is there a way to change dispaly contrast or saturation?
Been looking for this too..
The Desire HD should* have the same screen as the hd2, am i right?
why is it that the colors are a bit more saturated in the desire hd? it must be a software issue, no?

Hey guys was looking around because I know we all have had problems with wallpaper sizes........I think I found the solution ( not sure if it has been mentioned ....just thought I might help) just try using a programme called multipicture live wallpaper that can be downloaded free from the market........ it automatically resizes any pic to fit and also has options to change wallpapers by double tapping and also have different pics on different screens.......hope I would have helped someone out there........enjoy

No not really, i've posted on here about 10 times that 1610x1280 fits perfectly, people disagree and quote blah, then 2 days later they're back here again winging that their wallpaper doesn't fit.
hahahhaha oops, sorry man , obviously i havent seen it before, didnt mean to steal ur thunder ;P just trying to help
quick question, did you try the program? its pretty cool though
It seems to use Live Wallpaper. Can you make it work with just regular wallpaper?
I created a thread about this over at tabletroms and I also created a png grid overlay that allows you to center images on the screen. Also I have filmed video tutorials over there on how to use these files to create nd center your own wallpapers on honeycomb. enjoy
well becaus i am not a frequent poster, i cant post the link. can be found at tablet roms dot com and do search for wallpaper, thread is titled that. may also healp to search for albertwertz
I've tried this app...it works pretty good but as the other poster said....as long as the resolution is correct...then it's just nice to have and not a necessity.
Yeah ofcourse resolution would count......but yeah its not too bad

any 1600x1200 wallpaper or higher will work just fine.
the actual size is 1980x1408
Personally I have no issue with the image scrolling left & right. It does annoy me though that honeycomb zooms the image and moves it up and down when you go into the apps menu or widget menu...
I posted this solution in the original themes and apps thread; it actually looks MUCH better from a clarity standpoint than cropped oversized wallpapers. Of course, if you're centering and resizing you will have identical quality BUT you will not have a giant black bar across the bottom of your screen when you switch to portrait. If you love switching wallpapers and you use high quality SLRs and such this is the only way to go.

Thanks for not being an ass about it! I don't know if my OP was confusing or what, I was looking for something locally on this board.
Again, thanks for the quick speedy response!
regards

Ironic how the "smartass" comments are always written by idiots like you.
That resolution would not give you a properly fitting wall paper (aside from the fact that you wrote 1280*768 instead of 768*1280), because the phone has to upscale it to fit the moving home screens.
The original wallpapers that Google has included are 1436*1196, so anything 1500(width)*1200(height) will do.
Obviously, the width (1436) is a lot bigger than 768 to allow for the homescreen movement without having to upscale the picture, and the height (1196) is smaller than 1280, since the homescreen buttons and menu bar take up some space.

Thank you for an actual response. Is there a section anywhere on XDA with wallpapers that you know of?
2048x2048 'retina' ipad wallpapers work fantastically on the Nexus. The ones that I cycle between on my device can be found here - http://t.co/MCef15DL
Meh, I only use one home screen and didn't stop to think about users with multiple home screens. Regardless, the gist of my reply was valid - search! It's all there.

Hey guys just wondering if there was a way to downsize the screen resolution so that I have more real estate and not look like a person with very poor eyes needing extra large icons, etc. Kinda like in Windows how you can downsize screen from 1280x960 to 1600x1080 to fit more on the screen, for example.
I have already reduced font size and it doesn't help much other than in the settings menu.

You need to root to be able to do this. You can either manually change the DPI (dots per inch) setting by modifying the build.prop file, or using an app like this (which requires root)
