New savagedzen release .05! - EVO 4G General

Thread in dev section back up!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. It's a shame they've locked the threads, because SavagedZen is hands down the best AOSP kernel available.

Not really, sleep bug is still present. If you leave wimax on and turn the screen off for more then 3 minutes wimax should be disconnected (and it may or may not find another wimax signal).

Not to my knowledge. It's a .35 and .37 kernel issue. Could be a mixture of both though.

I figured using T-Mobile on H would be a little faster, since it is direct. My phone has always been little faster on H than using my b/g wifi at home.
No mine's not overclocked, it is just manusfreedom's latest kernel and zego's cm6 based build

[ROM] [WIP] TheMIUIrom V4 [RIL IN PROGRESS]

TheMIUIrom V4
RIL is not here YET for my MIUI rom, however that is being worked on right now. I'm going to stop writing now so I can get to working on this and stop being spammed.
For starters, this is NOT a daily driver for the time being due to a lack of RIL (this means no radio) and sound. However this is MIUI! Yes, what we've all been waiting for. This is an older version of MIUI currently as it is at 2.2.1 froyo. If you just want to try out MIUI, here's your rom! This is alpha and needs many things done to it. When this gets really good, I'll turn this into a real formatted rom thread. Until then, enjoy.

Toastfch-GoDmOdE kernel is back!

If the want a quality kernel for your aosp ROM.....Go get it in the Dev section. This kernel was released before the original evo source was released. Now Its Updated!!
Tested: all sensors work properly, finally, on gingerbread roms. Gps works, real nice!

So far so good with me. Battery has barely dropped and i been kickin 4g......
top -m 5 -n 1
Try that in command prompt after a bit and see what you get
With the sensors working correctly....battery life has got be superior. Rite?
Go get this from kernel manager people! Top of the line
It's been reported the battery life is pretty good. I think it'd be that much better with SBC, though. Hopefully someone can mod it into the kernel.

EI22 vs Stable GB from DEVs

Does anyone know what EI22 could even potentially bring to the plate that the good devs haven't already achieved through stabilizing EH17?

An official build, newer files to work with. Whether people believe it or not EH17 has many outdated bits and pieces which makes certain things involving CM and or MIUI rather annoying to try to fix, when we can't have anything newer to work off of. It could me a stable build altogether or it could be worse, but it'd have newer things to test with.
EH17 is far from "stable"...
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Here ya go.
There's a comparison.
Since there is no EI22 and no changelog....no way of knowing. When an OTA hits or another phone besides "Lonny's" gets it, no way of knowing.

Since none of us have seen EI22 yet, I doubt there is an answer. It's possible that all that has changed is the kernel, and we have what we think is a current kernel so there are no changes.
It's possible that there is a newer better modem that uses less battery and gets better signal. They may have better drivers or more bug fixes in apps.
We'll have to wait and see.
