You can see the sd card once you use minitool partition manager and change your wp7 partition from logical to primary. This is posted many times in the thread about partitioning your sd card, and I have posted a copy of minitool several times if you look at my past posts.

Searched before, never did found a good tut for partitioning a SD Card with Success.
Like to partition a SD card to ext/swap/fat32 properly.
Also always wonder, can I install apps on to SD card fat32 partition or ext? rather than the Cell build in memory?(myTouch 3G 1.2)
Can some one point me to a good tutorial to do this?
Or a video tutorial?
Cheer!

Use the option in your recovery image. I think AmonRA's should work just fine.
The ROM your using will decide whether you can install apps to FAT or to EXT partitions. Honestly I would use the EXT partition out of the two because if loaded to FAT you'll lose your Alps when you unmount your SD card. Honestly you've got plenty of internel storage so you shouldn't need it.

I flashed wp7 but now I want to go back to android but my SD card only has 199mb free instead of my original 16gb. I'm guessing due to the wp7 partition. How can I reverse that and get it back to the original 16gb. I've tried formatting it and everything.
Help please
You need to delete the individual partitions of your sd card and make it one big card again
maybe some software will help:
EASEUS Partition Master (Home Edition)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition
Paragon Partition Manager Free Edition
There was a similar thread somewhere...anyway, the only way you can format your sd card back is to put it in a symbian device. It recognises it as broken an formats it. I personally confirm this with Nokia E71. Nokia n97 mini is also confirmed by other people. Since Symbian hasn't changed much in the past year i guess almost all devices from 2008 till now can format your sd card. Now you just need to find one.
You can do it using diskpart in vitsa / 7 just as effectively
Where do I find that disc part at on windows 7?
Google Panasonic sd formatter
Install and in options 'format volume size adjustment 'to on.
You dont need to do all that.
Just falsh an Android ROM onto your phone.
Once you have android up and running, go to Settings>Storage>Erase SD card.
This will un-mount your sd card and format it. Once its complete, it will see all the storage.
Keep in mind it will wipe whatever you have in your SD card.

I just did that and it didn't work for me. I had a 2GB card and it only formatted to 200MB. The card needs to be repartioned in order to regain the space that WP7 takes.
What I did was just stick the card in a USB card reader and used HPUSBDisk.exe on it. Worked out great, but I also unchecked the quick format option (not sure if that matters).
I have the same problem also.. If i understand correctly, we didn't put the SD card once we first boot the window 7. do these partitions method work? Thanks ahead

I get this message when I open the music player. Similar for the gallery too.
I have WP7 installed and am dual booting with Android 2.3 (Cope's build) with MagLdr. I had first installed WP7 with a 2GB sd card, then copied the partitions to an 8gb card, and installed Android in the expanded fat 32 partition. WP7 partition is the primary and Fat32 is logical.
The android boots fine, but I get this message when I open Music app. "your phone does not have an sd card inserted". I can browse the sd card using file explorer and even play mp3s from there. Just that the apps doesn't seem to know how to read it.
Any idea what is wrong?
ps: I searched the forum but could not find an answer.
The FAT32 partition needs to be primary also.

That worked. Both the partitions are marked "primary" now, and the apps are now able to read it. Thanks very much.
How did u set it to primary partition.
I am facing the same problem in android 2.3 in my dev phone
Can i make partition on internal storage? If yes than what is the best partition tool because i have the same issue and no one replied me..
Web Directory
Frustrated with this, ive read that i needed to format the SD card as i have Phone7 so did that but its still saying the above error message.
Could someone tell me what needs to be done to sort this.
Could you clearly state your problem. Or if you think you've done so, be more clear then.
Are you formatting the SD card the right way? Using Panasonic SD Formatter 2.0. If you haven't, try that.
What exactly are you formatting it for? For dual-boot of WP7 & Android? Using an Ext3/4 partition for Android or just want your full storage back on your SD card?
I have formatted the SD card with the Panasonic software. All i want to run is a nand android but as soon as i install a few apps it tells me that the storage space is low. I have re-loaded the Abdroid nand rom after a format of the sd card and still have the same problem.
Can anyone help ?
You have a Leo512 HD2 yeah? (One without T-mobile branding on the top)
If that's the case, you need a ROM (most do) which supports either Apps2SD or Data2SD. You need to create a Ext3/4 partition for it to work.
Use the search bar and you'll find out how to partition your SD card if you don't already know.
Well im thick i searched partition n got no answers
Search for something like "how to make an ext3 partition using minitool". Can't get a link atm as I'm on my phone.

minitool partition wizard will be good for you i think
Hi;
I use WP7 on my HTC HD2.
Also I use SD Android and i start android from magldr.
When i want to install SD android on my "HP 16 GB Class 10 micro SD card" , i have installing problem.
While installing it freezes. I can't finish installing.
I don't see main screen.
But when i install same android rom on 2 GB micro SD card , there isn't any installing problem.
It runs perfectly.
Why does this problem occur on 16 GB Class 10 HP micro SD card?
Thanks a lot...
first of all this should be in the Q&A section.
is your SD card formatted to run dual boot? was the 2nd partition for Android set to Primary? also you don't install SD ROM, you just copy it to your SD & set magldr to run AD from SD

If you are dual booting you should have two partions. The android partions should be fat32 32kb cluster size and both partions should be set to primary.
