Stuck @ HTC screen after Clockworkmod Restore - G2 and Desire Z General

I was running CM6.1.1, did a backup using Clockworkmod recovery 2.5.x.x. Updated CW recovery to 3.0.0.5, then flashed GingerVillain 1.5. Decided it wasn't for me, so I wiped and then restored my CM6.1.1 image. Restore completes okay, reboot and now I'm stuck at the HTC screen. Also tried wiping and restarting, still stuck.
Is CWM 3.0 not capable of restoring Froyo roms? Do I need to reflash 2.5.x.x, then restore my CM6.1.1?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry for being so quick to make a thread. Reflash of Clockworkmod 2.5.1.3 allowed me to restore and boot my backup. Problem solved.

Cant access clockwork after trying to revert to 2.1

Timeline:
Flashed Onyx 4.2
Flashed EugeneKernel A11
Installed OCLF through Clockwork
---everything was working fine, but im anal about my phone and decided i wanted to nandroid restore back to 2.1, so heres that time line:
Disabled OCLF
Factory Wiped
Installed JAC-OV/UV Kernel (2.1 compatible)
Went to Nandroid Restore
I noticed that the restore finished way more quickly than usual, but clockwork said it finished successfully. so i went to reboot and it rebooted into stock recovery. odd. so i chose "reinstall packages" to flash back into clockwork, and now everytime it says "replacing recovery with Clockworkmod recovery" it then goes to "Vibrant" screen, and boots back into stock recovery. (same thing happens if i simply try to reboot, i always get sent back to stock recovery)
So is this happening because Clockworkmod LagFix edition is not compatible with my 2.1 kernel?? If so, is there a way to correct this WITHOUT using Odin?? ( i tried to adb push my old clockworkmod update.zip, in hopes that it would just overwrite the current one, it pushes successfully but same symptoms still occur)
Thanks ahead! (also, since i just backed up my sdcard today, id be more than willing to wipe my sdcard, if theres a way to do that through ADB without needing to be in ADB shell)

[Q] Nandroid not restoring. Please help!

I was running GorillaSense 2.3 and decided to give CM 7 RC1 a try. When I flashed it and then rebooted, I went into a bootloop so I tried doing a nandroid restore of the backup I did prior to flashing CM 7 and I got this error:
Erasing boot before restore...
E:format_volume: no MTD partition "boot"
Error while formating BOOT:!
I am using ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5.
The only thing I can think of that I did out of the "norm" was replace the host file in the system to block ads.
Does anybody know how to solve this? I am unable to use my phone at the moment...
I am able to go into Advanced Restore and retore system, data, and cache. When I try to restore boot I get the message I wrote above.
Clockwork mod 3.0.0.5 works only with gingerbread roms. Any Frito roms need 2.1.5.2. I had this problem going from gorilla hd sense to cm7 as well. Flash a new clockworkmod or a gingerbread rom or evils miui
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I wiped data and cache. Then Flashed this ROM Evil's HD port- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878320
I am still getting boot loops.
Evil's MIUI requires 2.1.5.4 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874257
Note - before wiped and flashed, I had gone into advance restore and restored, system, data and cache from my prior nandroid backup.
Hopefully that didn't screw things up. I don't have access to download the GorillaSense v2.3 that I had used before to see if flashing that would work since I am at work and it's blocked. I'm going to try that next, once I get home.
Which Clockworkmod version would I need for CM 7 RC1? Would v3.0.0.6 work?
Success!
Flashing recovery 3.0.0.6 did the trick! I flashed CM 7 RC1 and I don't get boot loops anymore. Thank you for your help.
I turned off the phone and booted back into recovery to make a nandroid backup after this successful flash. Then I flashed the google apps that come along with CM 7 and I'm stuck with the boot loop again...
I have restored the nandroid back, same bootloop, and wiped data & cache, flashed CM 7 only like the first time, and I still get the bootloop. This is so weird that it only worked the first time.
The first time it didn't boot loop I was left at the "desktop" screen. Now, when I boot loop, I get to the 'Welcome to HTC Glacier ( with the android you touch ) screen, only for like a second or two and then it loops.
Any ideas how to fix this? I'm thinking maybe I need to flash a new boot.img or something.

Ok, I flashed GorillaSense v2.3 which is what I was using initially. It works fine. No boot loops. I want to use CM 7 though! lol

Huawei X5 doesn't boot

Hello! I tried to install this rom to my phone. First I rooted the phone and then I installed CWM 5.5.0.4. First I did a nandroid backup then I proceeded to wipe the data, cahche and dalvik cache. Then I installed the zip. When I tried to boot up the phone went to bootloop. I tried to restore the nandroid backup, CMW claimed that all went well but it didn't fix the bootloop.
After that I tried once more install the custom rom, needless to say that it wasn't success.. So after that I replaced the (cmw)recovery.img with the original recovery.img in the pink screen mode and tried to boot up my phone once again. Once again there were bootloop. Then I decided to put the cmw recovery back in. Now I can't even access to the cmw recovery and I all out of ideas.
The easiest way is install a offical ROM. And Cyanogenmod 7 by ezet can't instalable to 404020 baseband

My backups are not working....

Ok so first off I was successful in rooting the phone, installing twrp rec., flashing loki files, and then flashing wicked rom with ktweaker tw kernel. I made a backup of the stock rooted rom before wicked was flashed. Then my troubles started when I wanted to go back to my stock backup. The rom booted but has serious issues like black screen with only status bar working and then eventually freezing. I also made a backup of a working wicked and tried restoring that but then I just get stuck in boot loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
what twrp version
did you wipe all before restoring
you could try to install Phils cwm recovery, folks say it works great and will restore twrp backups also

Follow full wipe procedures, have the same recovery you made the backup with, and try again.

I flashed the stock firm. Soft brick averted. Did the same goo manager recovery method, but now i'm thinking of flashing that cwm as ppl have reported the same nandroid backup issues with twrp. My version is 2.5.0.2. I will keep trying to get twrp for a while with others users till i get sick of it (semi twrp fan). Any further advice would be cool. Oh and I did a factory twrp wipe the first time this problem occurred.
I wipe data caches and system before flashing. No more advice. Had newest TWRP hang on Team Win screen. Several manual reboots into recovery till it worked. Maybe I better do restore to see if it works.

Recovery

Hi! I have a little problem. I had installed TeamWin Recovery few months ago. Yesterday I installed ROM Manager and app set Clockworkmod Recovery as default. Although i change in setup in app to TeamWin, after rebooting still i have Clockwork. How can I delete Clockwork ?
Thnks for helping
Whit ROM Manager I always had problems, I will backup the entire system with CMW to zip, then I will wipe the Phone, then installed MAGLRD and your Prefered Recovery and Restore the Zip.
