Never ending story - Keyboard Layout

Hey guys!
First I'd like to say, that this forum is awesome - never seen so much know-how on a forum before.
I got a problem with my SPV-M3000, that i bought in Poland with a QWERTY Keyboard layout. I've flashed a German Qtek 9100 Rom on it, but the layout got messed up. It's QWERTZ and not QWERTY and all the symbols (like @ or $) are not in the position they should be.
Well i've read a lot of threads with the keyboard-layout problem. Tried the registry-hack but it didn't work for me. Then I tried AEKMAP, but I don't know how to configure it - do I have to buy it? I've found a WWE *.AEK File on the website, but the layout is still messed up but in another way. Plz somone help me! It sux to write something with a false keyboard layout!
No one got a solution 4 my problem?

You will want to look at the wizard service manual to see how you can get your keyboard back into position: You can download it here (pdf format):
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Docs_Tutorials/Wizard_Service_Manual.pdf
If you can't download, send me a PM and I'll email it to you.
I use the mfrazzz Cingular Radio Fix Cab2 with the T-Mobile UK radio
(2.19.11) and I have the best reception I have ever experienced.

Hi.
I have a Touch Pro and a Touch Pro2. The t9 of the Touch Pro is very very complete.
Does anybody knows how can I export the t9 dictionary from the TP and then import it to the TP2?
Thank you.

Anyone? Please...
I've made a couple of searches and found nothing...
I've searched a little further and I think the problem isn't the T9.. The problem is the suggested words;
Explaining: as I type, the correct words don't show up, but when I do a spell check, it suggests me the correct words.
Anybody knows how to fix this?
Thanks.
I also own a touch pro 2 in Ptg and used to have a touch pro wwe.
with the touch pro I used to have installed a T9 cab and it worked out well.
now with the touch pro 2 with ptg rom I have a problem... the accents don't appear in words (sugested).
also tried to install the same cab but no accents at all!
I try to add the word with accent to the dicionary but it doesn't save at all!
do you also have this problem?

Yep, that's my problem too! Even after adding words to the dictionary them don't appear on XT9 suggested words!
Nevertheless, if you do a spell check the accented words are there... I think it's a bug somewhere on the XT9.
A really annoying bug
Anyone could please help?
Thanks.

Well, I think I found new things about this "problem". The words are in Portuguese, so don't mind the meaning.
As I already said, I think the problem lies on the suggested words. The correct word "também" is correctly suggested if I type "tamb". So far, so good (although on Touch Pro I could type "tambem" and he would suggest "também" also). The problem is with small words like "olá", "não", "é", "há", "ás", etc...
The T9 only starts suggesting words after the third letter.
Does anyone know how to make the T9 start suggesting after the first typed letter? It would make things better, but it would not solve the problem. There are many words that are single lettered: "é", "à", "á", etc..
I repeat: this worked perfect on the Touch Pro. If only HTC would look at this fórum
Just got an answer from HTC:
"
Dear Nuno Silva
Thank you for contacting HTC Europe.
Our word suggestions are indeed set to start after three letters on the Touch Pro 2. Unfortunately there aren't any settings or changes you could do to the phone to change this. This is a feature of the phone.
If you have any further questions or queries feel free to get back to us at any time.
"
Undecided
If anyone could "dig" on to the software and change that setting, all would be solved...
PT T9 CAB needed.
You all have done a great research here in this thread, but did any one got to the point of extracting the portuguese T9 or finding the link to download it?
I have a TP2 from Europe, but the portuguese T9 is not installed.
Does anyone got it to be installed. Can the link to it be provided?
Thanks.

Blackstone Full Qwerty Keyboard?

Greetings from a little country in the middle of Europe
I ‘went to flash my Touch HD, with the Topaz ROM, in order to get a new TF3D that has landscape support. All works fine. But as I also like to use Putty for Telnet and SSH sessions, I'm in need of a full QWERTY Keyboard in order to have ESC and CTRL buttons.
Unlikely, this ROM doesn't have the stock HTC Keyboard, I want to have.
As Finger keyboard is not the solution I aim for, could someone please provide me a CAB file of the original HTC keyboard?
All help is highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Yves
I think there is an old HTC keyboard here - post #3 (not sure if it's the one you want though):

I have never used it so can not say if it works or not, but still you may try it and see if it does the job

Enabling Transcriber/Handwriting Recognition on HTC Touch2

Hi :
Newbie (Relatively)
Considering an HTC Touch that comes free with a T-Mobile (UK) Contract.
Problem is I really like taking notes with the Transcriber/Handwriting Recognition input function but can't seem to find it on any UK demo phone (including unlocked friom Carphone Warehouse).
This must exist in the Winmobile 6.5 Rom somewhere.
Can it be enabled ? Anybody any wiser ?
Can anyone please help asap ?
Thanks in advance

strange.
any ideas.. pls help..
u can enable transcriber by goin into d windows file..and scroll upon the "t" letter files, find trancriber..and There you are..transcriber gets activated..in HTC touch2
Another way how you can enable transcriber for example are the sktools. With this porgram is it very easy. Normally you can do this with the demo version if you do not want to buy it.
transcriber works!

Hi - thanks, this works for me, and I am amazed by the quality of handwriting recognition in WORD. On the other hand it is useless for names and numbers in Outlook!
