hi to all i have a little problem with fastboot.
when I open the command prompt and enter the code to see if your phone is connected, nothing comes out.
and when I insert the code to make the prompt recovery of the flash is stuck on the word: flash recovery recover.img
I also tried to move the file.img in sdk> tools
What can I do?
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
EDIT: i have try on 2 different PC but nothing..
It is probably best to read up before you do such things with you phone.
Try the beginners manual first.
Can be downloaded here
Good luck.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but do not work ... the problem continues
Try uninstalling the drivers and moving your streak to a different usb port. I'm not sure why but that's what fixed my problem. Also if you are on a 64 bit operating system the drivers seem to be slightly different. Believe there is a thread on modaco about it.

You right Krad, I was looking at the adb commands thinking that something wasnt right.
Also yarco, it would help if you spelled recovery right
So the correct command line(if the recovery img is called recovery.img is:
fastboot flash -i 0x413c recovery recovery.img
tbh, you shouldnt need more than a few seconds, it flashed really quickly. so if you can type that one command in 40 secs, dont worry about the drivers for now.

Good!
Does your device say:
"wait for USB fastboot detect...."
or
"FASTBOOT_MODE"

So I've been messing around with android phones for a while now and I'm stuck. I was on the oxygen 2.1.6 Rom then decided to make a back up. However instead of going into CWR it just went into fast boot. When I go into recovery it just says fast boot mode no reboot or recovery img. I tried to odin back to stock like I usually do but adb wont recognize my device like it usually does. Please don't tell me I'm bricked and that I messed up bad. Any help would be appreciated. It sounds like you flashed a bad recovery. Download a new recovery , boot into fastboot, and
Code:
fastboot flash recovery yourrecoveryfile.img
adb wont recognize my device so how do I flash a new recovery

Adb only works when the phone is booted normally, provided usb debugging is on.
Use fastboot. If you want to make sure it's working, boot into fastboot mode and
Code:
fastboot devices
If it's working, you will see your serial number.
If the other options can't help you get your problem solved try Odin.
www.samfirmware.com
get the right files for your device and Odin program itself. There are tutorials on here how to use it.
sorry I was being an idiot. I tried fastboot and it showed nothing connected. When I flashed a recovery it just hung waiting for device. I have all the drivers loaded on the computer but my device is still unknown and wont be recognized. I have all the odin files and I have used odin before. This sucks

Maybe not, but it does include some handy files. ;-)
Download and unzip Shabby's OneClickRoot
Install pdanet. (See the readme for which one.)
Reboot your computer.
Then try using his version of fastboot.
I'm assuming you are in fastboot mode (it will say so) and that you're using the usb cable that came with the phone.

When phone is turned on normally:
Android Composite ADB Interface

Android Bootloader Interface
Nothing should be wrong there..
i would try another usb cable. they have been know to not work. also make sure that your android sdk has been updated fully before starting step 2

I am having same problem, so I can relate, but not unhappy with stock. I also can not find anything wrong even on device manager everything looks like out ought to work.
I tried adb fastboot devices and my phone is supposed to show up, but didn't. You might try yours as well, probably get same result.
Makes me think still a problem with the driver.

It is a Command Line Interface application that comes packaged with the Android SDK, just like fastboot. ADB is used to interface with your device while it is booted normally, and fastboot interfaces with your device at the bootloader level.
With your phone booted up into Android, plug in USB and do "fastboot devices". What happens?
But before you do that, let me ask: are you sure when you were having trouble with fastboot that you had the phone in bootloader? You have to hold volume up + power until you see a screen that says FASTBOOT MODE at the top with a lot of other text. You can only use fastboot commands such as "fastboot oem unlock" when the phone is in bootloader.

So I checked on my device manager and the android device driver says; Android ADB Interface, rather than Android Bootloader Interface.
Anyone that can help me change it to the correct one as I can use ADB to get phone to bootloader but when I type bootloader devices my phone is not found.
Thanks in advance.
Figured it out (maybe lucky guess)
I moved a copy of bootloader from tools folder to platform tools then opened a terminal from that window and it worked.
Bootloader unlocked and on way to full root.
Hey so yesterday I mucked around with the mounting/unmounting/formatting stuff in fastboot. Now it's not booting up, it's stuck at the GOOGLE logo. I left it on overnight, and it's still stuck there. I can still turn off the device and enter fastboot mode. Anyone know what's wrong?
Thanks

I went to the fastboot menu and unmounted everything, and formatted everything. Then I deleted all user data and the cache partition. I'm running xenon HD rom.
Thanks
You were running xenon rom before you formatted everything! Now if you want to stay with xenon you have to push the rom in your device using adb and install it with recovery.

I would say to get Wug's tool kit and use that to unbrick/flash back to stock. To get your computer to recognize the tablet you likely need to install the proper drivers, which are included with the toolkit and instructions on installing them.

Did you reflash the ROM and gapps after doing the wipes? Otherwise, try: factory reset, format system, flash ROM, flash gapps, reboot.
Okay So I unlocked bootloader via NRT..
So after unlocking I got into recovery and earsed the data(as mentioned in the instructions)..
Now basically the tablet doesn't boot up to home.
First. Dont use toolkits. No disrespect to the dev but it is way better to do it manually.
Second which recovery did you use?
Third what exactly did you wipe?

You can re install the rom by going to https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#mantaraykot49h and picking the image you need.
Just hold the power button and the both volume buttons down at the same time to get into the fastboot mode before you run the image restore
program. I hope this helps. Good Luck
Make sure you go down to the Factory Images "mantaray" for Nexus 10.

Good advice but for a noob needs a bit more about being in command line with the adb and fastboot commands in path. I use Linux desktop. I bricked a n7 last week due to a dodgy connector socket/cable during a flash and had to type the flash-all script commands myself a few times til it worked.

Can you please go a little further in details about how "bricked" it actually is? What exactly happened? There seem to be missing some important info regarding your issue.
Please be a little more descriptive and maybe I can help you .

you could try again, yes. But check with gdisk.
For example, if it throws errors that sdc1,2,3,4,5,6,7---36 couldn't be mounted, then you know it's sdc.
So you can simply type gdisk -l /dev/sdc (it might show that it's unavailable, hit arrow up and press enter again), you'll see the partitions(eventually..if it's recognized by the pc.)
