[Q] Missing of "Connect Via Bluetooth" - Touch GSM General

Hi
I am using Elfin running with official WM6.1. There is no option of "Connect Via BT" in activeSync menu. In the connections tab also only 'USB option available.
Any help?

Can you create a BT partnership with your PC?

I have paired the device and pc. Even hands free services are working fine. In the Status tab of connections it shows activeSync - Connected. But there is no oprtion availabe in the Activesync tab menu "Connect via Bluetooth". Previously, when i was using WM6, there was a option in the Activesync. Is there any problem in WM6.1?
Thanks in advance for your help

try checking at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530327
maybe it can help you

After Uninstalling of BTools app and Soft reset , It works.
Thanks.

Bluetooth ActiveSync: doesn't start - help?

Just upgraded my XDA II to O2 ROM 1.72 and I'm trying to recreate the bond for bluetooth ActiveSync. When I upgraded to 1.60 this was easy, so I've tried to do the same so I can surf the web at home for free.
I made a mistake though: I created a new bonded device in bluetooth before I clicked the 'Connect via bluetooth' menu item in ActiveSync. Now when I click that, nothin happens. No error, no dialog box, nothing. When I upgraded before I clicked the ActiveSync option before making the bond and that way it worked.
I've tried deleting the bond with the server from the XDA II and then going back into ActiveSync to the 'Connect via bluetooth' option, but the same thing happens. The XDA II isn't even opening the COM port.
Can anyone help?
*bump*
Update: I did a hard reset and tried setting up Bluetooth ActiveSync again... No luck. It just doesn't work. I can bond to the PC over BT but nothing else.
Can anyone help? Please?

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2417

ajong, you're a star!!! Thank you!
I read those instructions and realised I was clicking the wrong thing to start the whole bluetooth ActiveSync setup process. Doh!!!
Anyway, got it working now. Great!

I am currently able to charge my TYTN, but unable to get a USB connection to activesync; any ideas?
I have tried switching off the usb advanced but i doesn't work...

IPL is 1.01 and SPL is 1.04.
My rom is the latest South African....
Ant help would be very nice,

sounds like a firewall problem. Try disconnection from the internet and disable your firewall. If it connects then, adjust the firewall settings before reconnection to the internet.
I had the same problem with EZ Firewall
Nope, it is not the firewall, it used to work perfectly and it suddenly doesn't...
2 different computers have the exact same problem..any ideas?
I'm sure you've probably tried these, but just in case:
Reset device & stop activesync on device (memory/running programs)
Reboot laptop/pc
check in task manager that activesync is not running in the background
Delete existing partnership in Activesync & set it up again

Yeps, tried all of that.....even ahard reset....
But still no succes, now back to syncing via IR....
Just :
START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > USB to PC (then untick this box)
Then try again, worked OK for me!!!
use USB switch program
try install this program in your PPC and after that change activesync via serial instead of RNDIS.
worked on my Unieversal but i do not know yours
i don't think you need this program as it is already available in control panel -> connections -> usb-pc
hellejoep - any progress in solving this problem? I seem to be having the same problem with mine - tried activesync 4.2 and 4.5 on two machines - running the latest SA ROM.

How to setup "Internet Sharing" on 8125 with USB

Do I need drivers? I'm trying to fire up the "Internet Sharing" application that came with the XDA rom, but I'm having some trouble finding the right settings.
Thanks in Advance
The drivers are already included in ActiveSync 4.5. Just open the Internet Sharing app and tap "Connect". You will get a prompt to check the USB cable connection (if you've chosen to connect via the USB in the drop down menu). Connect the USB cable and that's it. You're connected.
I have a similar question...I've tried to install Active Sync 4.5 on Windows 2000 SP4 and when i do it says missing DLL. Anyone have a solution or am I stuck with no AS4.5 and NO wm6?
While the 8125 is connected with Activesync 4.5:
Select:
FILE -> Connection Settings
and verify that under "This computer is connected to:" is set to:
The Internet

Can not access internet at home using USB connection

Hi All,
I could not access internet at home using USB connection (active sync is OK). But in the office it works well. Is there anything wrong with my PC at home? Thanks.
in activesync go connection setting and chose "The Internet" in the "This computer is connected to:"
If it still failed please do check your firewall setting
Hope this helps
Thanks. But I checked the option and it is "The internet". For firewall, I don't even have one... So strange, right?
can you try delete mobile device on your activesync and re-setup again?
Or check if you have the default window bulitin firewall?
Is your activesync the latest version?
Sorry dunno your problem can only help u troubleshoot
Thanks ckaidi. My active sync is ver 4.5 and the default firewall is disabled. I tried delete the mobile phone and active sync then re-installed but the problem is still there .
I wonder whether there are some 'hidden' options in windows...

Is this the first time you will sync your unit with your PC or you'd been syncing with your PC before and just have this problem now?
....from the first time i brought it.... until now...
any relation with my rom 1.40.721.3 ???
Do you get an error? is it connecting at all?
currently i use it as a modem for my pc. no problem at all except using activesync 4.5
Have you tried re-installing the ActiveSync using the provided StartUp disc ?
i already done that. but i download it from microsoft.com.
You could try to update the device drivers in XP
(Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Portable Devices --> Touch 3G T3232 --> right mouse click --> update drivers --> let it search automatically)
there is no "Portable Devices" in my xp Device Manager...
if you use the device as a modem you can't use active sync as well. I have noticed a handy little feature on this phone that when i plug it into a pc it gives me an option on the phone to use the device as active sync, mass storage or modem.
I would sugest that this is your problem, there is an option to always use the option you selected so if you chose alsways use as modem then you will never get an active sync go to settings, connections then usb to pc and see what you have got selected, i have the option ticked to always ask me.
Tom
i know that option, because i can read & write my storage. when i use it as a modem, at same time, i cannot access the storage.
right now, i copy cab file to storage in order to install the program...
