No, the only option to dual boot is to have wp7 on nand and boot android builds from sd. I'm doing that and it works very well. The SD android builds work pretty much as good as nand builds, and battery drain is pretty much the same... you just don't have the option of clockwork recovery with sd android.
Thx
But Wp7 it's not my priority... mine is Android and ubuntu !!
Is it possible to launch Ubuntu from Android nand ?
thx in advenced !!
Sorry for my bad english !!!
how exactly does ubuntu work on the hd2?
my connection right now is too slow to load youtube to look at it in action in a video maybe, that's why I'm wondering

Hello everyone,
most of us are still waiting for the perfect completion of android / Linux Project for our HD2s.
the main reason for me is flash player support, since we have been abandoned and left behind with our HD2 Devices. the android project came in the rescue.
despite the fact that all android builds out there still a work in progress, however, with a refined copy of HTC Desire rom with wifi support, i have managed to use flash 10.1 on my HD2 and it was fairly smooth.
settings i have used to achieve this:
1* i used HTC Sense (HTC Desire base rom) v2.5 (11-July-2010)

2* follow guide to have flash flayer 10.1 on android 2.1.

I've already tried the same process with the smooth Nexus One build , but for some reason i don't know, i did not work. so i tried the HTC Desire build and worked like a charm for me.
I just wanted to share my experience regarding flash 10.1 on HD2.
that's all.
regards.
awesomeawesomeawesome
Once they get a build with mic...im gonna try this
thanks for testing and lettings us know!

We have an official thread on here, just search. From what I've read yesterday the mic and ear piece speaker still don't work, so sucks for calls.

yeah...we have known about this for a long time. we already have an official thread. its called "linux on the hd2" its in the LEO section i believe...
Don't Like Android
I tried it on the evo and I just don't like it.
Problem, here is that the NEW verion of the HD2 is too new to be arbitrarily burning or altering the ROM... Not like it's a Mio P550, where it's a little toy. This thing is prettty bad-ass.
I purposely overlooked the iFart for it.
Is it possible for an Android /MeeGo duel boot on our devices?
This would at least need a modified bootloader for dualboot and porting megoo would BA a major effort since all closed source drivers would have to be ported...

It is possible but not right now . meego is also based on linux and nokia releases N9 with meego. You can run ubuntu on the top of android in g3 as dual boot. but why you want other os, android is best even apple's iOS

Ya ubuntu as an os but when i installe d on my g3 i found that there is no way to access sdcard so imagine a pc witout hard disk for this you can do a google search with tag "nexusonehacks.net" or "how to install ubuntu on android" BTW if you don't like android then you will never like any other mobile os.
Does anyone tried this before, on our SG3

I know that somebody made a pre-modded version of MiUi with WP7 customizations built in for my HTC Desire..
Now that I have a Lumia 900, I really miss the freedom of Android. WP7 is pretty great, but it just isn't as useful (yet) as a rooted Android device.
