Liver wallpapers effect on batt life - Fascinate General

What are the effects on battery life from using live wallpapers?
Swyped from a fascinating over clocked droid using XDA App

Live wallpapers have minimal effect, other than making you want to keep your screen on longer.
As for liver wallpapers....I'm unsure. Kidney wallpapers are the best though.

Lol my bad, blame it on swype haha

try liberty 1.5 its the best
I've only had liberty, but I like it. I'm sure at some point I'll try others; no hurry, though.
rooted x, on liberty 1.5
Apex1.4.1 best rom hands down

First of all rims go on cars but I know it was probably just a spelling mistake anyway I'd recommend liberty 1.5.

Welll... technically... Rim also goes on Blackberry... but yeah, misspelling was much more likely here on the DX forum.
Just wait til Friday when liberty 1.75 comes out. It's by kejar31 who makes gummy jar and by Jrummy16. I had gummy jar and I switched a month ago and just saying but I like liberty better.
I've tried almost all if the top contenders for best rom and they're all good in their own respect. I liked Liberty bc its easy to customize, Apex for its battery life, didn't really dig tranquility all that much but its still a solid rom, but in the end I chose rubix for its speed and battery life. For my droid x, rubix has run faster, smoother, and longer than with any of the other roms.

I will have to say after obsessively flashing every rom with the same settings and oc. DarkSlide 4.2 is the winner hands down testing with quadrant and smartbench 2011. Smoothest fastest and fully themed with very nice taste. Very good support from the devs BBCrackman. GatesJunior. Natty Bee. Not to mention 4.3 is about to drop anyday now. This rom cured me from DX Flashenitis and saved alot of ag from listening o the old lady *****ing about too much time spent screwing with my phone. Not only a excellent rom but makes for a happy home.
Thanks you all for your help im now running apex 1.4.1 so we will see it I like it
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I know the feeling, I've flashed Rubix, Tranq, Gummy, DarkSlide,Liberty and Apex. Gummy I got a 1749 Quadrant Benchmark never got more than 1560 on the others. I liked Gummy the best but Liberty has got more options. Funny what you say about your old lady, mine too. Of course in the process of flashing I have become very adept at SBF. Anyone messing with their phone that much learns the hard way. Thank God for the forums! Thanks Guys!
I've been getting quadrant scores around 1760ish using liberty 1.5 oc'd to 13.5 using medium voltage.

Miui battery vs. Bionix 1.3.1

I read that Miui has a faster battery drain than some other roms. I was wondering if the battery life is at least on par with an older rom like Bionix.
Anyone go from B1.3.1 to Miui?

Yea it does drain faster and you probably will quickly notice an hour in decreased life.
I suggest not overclocking.

This is absurd. Why are you being so hostile? Did someone force you to sit at a desk and punch in a bunch of numbers every 108 minutes? Did someone steal your baby?

I'm running CM7, which I've read is very similar to MIUI. When I was using Bionix I could go at least 24 to 36 hrs without charging with my typical minimal use (using edge network). On CM7 I get about 13 to 16 hrs, but CM7 runs rings around Bionix as far as responsiveness goes. It's fast and smooth!

I'm going to throw this out there.

I've been running EL30 all day and just realized how smooth the scroll is and of amazing the multitasking is. Went is it that stock roms do multitasking so much better than custom roms? Everyone should go stock for at least one day to see what I mean. Again.. Just throwing it out there.
I've been running stock EL30 since we got the google link. I'm liking it so far. Just need the keyboard lag fix. I think they did fix the GPS though, it goes fast in google maps and its accurate. And I like the none iOS touchwiz.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Did they make big changes to touchwiz in el30? I had not read about that yet.

They changed a couple of the icons and removed the colored squares from the icons when you are in the app drawer.
The keyboard skips 70% less than EI22 but it is still there.

It really is much better, but it dropped one of the e's in "needed". I hadn't noticed the background thing because I use ADW EX with a theme. It seems fine stock, but I'd love to underclock again so I might just root for that.

Yes, I noticed battery life is great! Also, I think the smoothness is coming from the rom being odexed originally from sprint. We must all remember that the odex codes are optimized for our devices. That's why deodexed roms are never as smooth. Might be slight quicker but awful multitasking. But personaly, ive never seen a performance boost from going deodex.

Can I still run a EI22 rom if I flash to this modem??

De-odexing isn't supposed to give ya performance boost, it allows you to theme your phone.
BEER!
Yup, but alot of members here state that the roms under deodex run snappier. In which I disagree.
Just buggin out, me an my eye balls.
Check out the thread in the development section entitled "[tweak][CM7] odex cyanogenmod 7.2 flashable zip" by zman for more info on the subject

AOKP or CM9: Which do you prefer?

I personally have been enjoying AOKP due to the incredible amount of *functional* customization options.
Just wanted to see what everyone is preferring nowadays!
Cm9. For me, it just works.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Cm9.. its stable.. just sayin. =]
That and there are themes for it =P... just messing but I prefer cm9 just because it seems to work smoother than aokp. I just didn't like aokp unstability and constant lock ups that I was experiencing. Nothing against it just wasn't my cup of tea.

At this moment, AOKP is better but CM9 has much more potential.
I run em both for about a week after each update, but battery life is more important to me than all that speed you kids like. AOKP for now.

I Run CM7 but gotta give it to CM9 more supported
AOKP has been preforming wonderfully for me. Battery life is a big thing and AOKP seems to have an edge on my phone anyways.
I do like the fact that CM9 is more supported, but I will definitely agree with kenny that AOKP battery life is excellent. I don't have my screen on for more than an hour a day usually, so with the combination of that and the ability to disable data (where I work I get no 3G, eats my battery up) has provided me with more than ample battery life.
I really need to get back into development. Things now are WAY different than before; it seems like there is more of an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, which I like.

CM9 for me....
AOKP for me.had an all day meeting at a location with horrible signal and I walked out with 60% battery left.at work where there's a tower half a mile down the road I can't go five hours without plugging my phone in our it's dead on CM9

I dont think I mind a small penis I still wish my I wife didn't have one though
For those who prefer aokp, can you explain the benefits other than better battery life? Running cm9 now, but very curious about aokp.

I am really digging AOKP.
I would say more, but sufficient to say: AOKP kicks ass. (CM9 also kicks ass, just for the record.)

None of these Kangs would be possible without the CM9 team so big thanks to them. With that said AOKP is CM9 +, everything CM9 is and more except the missing 4G in the pulldown. The 4G widget needs to be used or turning it on in settings.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
absolutely!
Infact I am enjoying AOKP so much that I went and donated to all the devs involved, including the cm team.
Thanks to everyone who makes this amazing stuff possible!
AOKP. Although CM9 is just as good, AOKP just has something to it. Brand-name I guess.
