Charging hd2 battery on Android safe?

I read somewhere that we should charge our hd2 only when its off or running winmo cuz your battery gets too hot when charging on Android. Can someone confirm this??
I hope future builds will fix this problem.

3G not working ( intermitten )

Phone shows 3-4 bars of 3G and I get nothing but errors like , Page unavailable...this app needs data connection....etc. Sometimes if I disable mobile network and re-enable it it will work for a few minutes but then gone. Am I the only one ? I searched briefly . Nothing informative . Help please .
Call att and tell them to connect you to the specialist, i had the same problem and i was literally on the phone with him for 10 seconds and he fixed it

Sometimes it does similar to me. It will sit there and go from 3g to edge to 3g to edge. I've taken to just using 2g when I have wifi, then 3g when I want mobile data. Although now that I had the phone for a while, I kind of know where 3g is strong.

You helped a lot Mr.bfranklin ! Thanks !
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Well you should have probably started here
Without rooting/flashing then you can turn your brightness all the way down, delete all your widgets, turn off data sync, and use a pure black background.
Or just root and flash Trigger or project V + the bali kernel and be amazed
Why not just root? And flash a different rom?
Sent from my SGH-T959
i think he is afraid something might happen he just needs to needs to read the guy on how to flash and he will get so much more out of his vibrant i acheive great battery life with cm7 and neo kernel
Please help!

Let me guess......Someone told u shouldn't root or flash (t-mobile guy at the mall?) cuz u could mess ur phone up and t-mobile won't honor the warranty.
Well let me tell u something L1LK1LLERZ , you NEED to root then flash one of this ROMs on that Vibrant of yours if you wanna notice any significant battery life gain. Rooting and Flashing is pretty simple and safe on the Vibrant ,compared to my wife's HTC Glacier aka MyTouch 4g, anyways IF (big [email protected]#king IF) you are able to follow instructions precisely (common sense baby) and you could always go back to stock if you need to return ur phone to t-mobile.

I highly recommend downloading juice defender from the market. That app alone has given me hours more of battery life.

Yea juice defender really helps

Can you guys show me your settings for juice defender ? I tried it and didn't see any changes in my battery life! And which version is the best like plus! ? Premium !? Or free !? Please help!

I say use the XDA SuperPower app. it basically does what Juice Defender does, but it's much more simpler to configure and has most of the same features. Just search "XDA SuperPower app" on Google or the search bar. been using it for a couple of hours and it's been great with disabling and enabling my networks and whatnot.

Poor wifi signal? Any fix?

So I have acouple of other phones, and they all have great wifi reception, but with my g2.. even when I'm next to the router... I still don't get full reception... any ideas?

Are u using any custom rom.l or stock rom?.. I have the week wifi with cyanogen rom's .. also the antennas on the phone are not in good places so in landscape mode while covering the top of the phone wifi signal drops no matter wat rom you use

yep, i think cyanogen has lower wifi volts than stock so u get less range.
i made a barebones stripped ROM based on the newest tmo OTA, i made optimizations to get better battery life, and stripped tons out to get the most ram possible, and keep the ui fast and snappy.
my newest version 1.3, offers the best battery life in any rom that i have ever used, its super fast (no need for OC), offers the most free ram and is located here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324616
give it a try!
Ah nice will sure be giving it a try!

I have thought that CyanogenMod has a bit weaker wifi reception, but I believe it also suffers another bug: the wifi icon will often go dark even when you have a full signal... So I think looking at the icon can be deceiving. Mine will go dark, looking like a bad connection, but will indeed work just fine.
To add make sure the setting under Wireless Networks > Wi-Fi Settings > [menu] > Advanced > Wi-Fi Sleep Policy is at your preference for when the wifi turns off at screen sleep.
So nope still not fixed tried the from, same. any other ideas? Or there's any way to up the voltages ?

Before doing anything, please see this video.
All of these battery saving apps really just manage your wireless connections, and turn things such as wifi off when you're not using them. They really don't do anything special as far as I know, but they're still fairly useful
