Hi All, newbie here.
I have samsung galaxy s i9000 with
Firmware : 2.3.3
Baseband version : I9000DXJV9
I've successfully rooted the phone with super one click and the super user icon is there.
but I was confused on how I could install CWR
I tried to follow the instruction from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379650)
but no luck, I'm confused because I have little knowledge about this.
does someone know easier way? or complete step by step guide?
The instruction you got is for i9000m, not for the normal one.
If you want to get CWM, you should root your device with CF-Root.
Just get the kernel of your firmware and flash it like written.
i9000m and i9000 are basically the same internally, the i9000m just supports the 850 band.
I'm running an i9000 ROM on my i9000m.
Superoneclick did not work for me. It gives root but does not enable cwm to work. You get signature verification errors. I would also recommend cf-root as a good starting point. It is basically the stock kernel with root. Just read the instructions on the cf-root thread. Instructions in first post. It is quite a lot but fairly self explanatory.

Hi,
Wondering if someone could make/post a flashable zip via SS of the stock verizon bootanimation. Would like to keep my phone as close to stock as possible and I don't mind it. Any help would be appreciated.

In the above thread, in post #2, Beans provides a link to his rom add ons. There you will find what you are looking for.

I've found a beautiful tutorial on this forum to completely remove Knox bootloader from latest S4 mini firmwares and make a "free-Knox stock firmware".. Is there a guide to do the same on i9505?
Thanks a lot

Hi is there a way to use My galaxy app. once you have flashed a custom rom.
Can i flash stock firmware and use my galaxy app? since i can't' run it on custom roms.
I need the My galaxy app to get exchange coupon since Samsung is offering additional discount for note 9

As far as I know custom ROMs don't come with galaxy apps as a pre installed option. You might find a mirror site to download the app or check out link below. Flashing stock firmware yes.
Bear in mind if you modify your phone you will trip your Knox and will loose some Samsung related apps.
