Hi everyone.
When I install a widget and save it to my SD Card on my desire it won't show up when I try to add it. If I move it to phone memory and reboot it's magically there.
This happens with literally every widget. As if my phone can't detect widgets if they are on the SD card.
Does anyone know why and/or how to work around this?
I'm running CM 6.1.1
Thanks!
Its a system app and wont work on sdcard...

during boot up, the phone loads the widget first before loading the SD card.. so any widget that is on SD card will not be loaded because the SD card isn't exactly "ready"..
the only workaround is to install widgets on internal memory.. or root and use A2SD+ instead of Froyo A2SD.
I have widgets on my SD card .. work fine... you have to reboot the phone after every change, HOWEVER , if you have a widget that is needed at boot .. eg ... Calender on home screen etc.. then it has to be on the phone ... but if you dont need it at start up .. then it's fine on the SD card .

i have mDeejay NAND rom and i want my apps to run on the SD card but i get an error when i launch the app and i have to force shutdown the app.
I move the apps to the SD card within settings/apps/manage apps. Dont know if thats wrong?
Apps works just fine when they are in the internal storage..
some apps just won't run in your sd card, you gotta read the detail of the app before download.
When I install apps to my external SD card and place shortcuts to homescreen after a while those shortcuts dissappear. It only happens to the shortcuts of the apps which are installed to external sd card. I dont have problem with shortcuts of apps which r installed.to internaln sd.
I dont use any app to transfer the apps to my ext sd card. Some apps like Angry Birds or SPB Tv install themselves to ext sd by default. But when I make shortcuts to home screen they dissappear after a while.
Does anyone have the same problem or do u know why this is happenning? I am running JL2 and i dont have any lagfix or root. I even tried formating my ext sd card in computer and in phone.
This is a known bug with some app/game. Just put them on the internal sdcard..

Yeah, this is an android issue. Happens when you restart your phone. The external sd takes longer to initialize so the applications are not available when the home screen is loaded.

Hi guys
I could not install Zune yet, as i am away from my home PC.
One question, can one view / save stuff on the SD card , like wallpapers, and photos etc?
My phone keep prompting that it is running out of disc space....
I am not sure if there is a file manager or something like that?
I cannot view or see my SD card from the pc?
Thanks alot
The SD card must be on in the phone during first boot as the phone uses it as its "main memory" plugin it in after the first boot will do nothing as the phone won't recognize it, if you wan't to use the sd card with the phone you must do a reset while the SD card is in the phone
In the past I have seen many guides as to how to enable A2SD and partitioning. Currently, I am running CM7 7.0.0. I can see that the data of the app is saved on the SD card. However it is not INSTALLED on the SD card. Now there is an annoying notification constantly bickering me on the the notification bar.
So my question is, could someone kindly guide me to the right path on how to partition my SD card and enable A2SD.
Thank you.
im using cm7 i use an app called appmonster which gives a notification when an app can be moved, click it then takes you to settings then click move to sd card. i think this is still installed on phone but moves all data saving lots of space on phone memory
can someone pls tell me what to do i have saved apps on my sd card and my friends phone stopped working so he used my sd card to reboot his phone and now my apps wont work but when in my apps settings i can see them and they are so called installed but i cant open any and they wont show up in my menu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe rebooting the phone makes it work. Dont know if it is sure. I didn't swap my mem card to other android phones.
