vodafone uk desire hd stock rom - Desire HD General

Is there a vodafone desire hd stock rom out there for the uk vodafone?

Vodafone don't have branding on these mobiles, at least mine doesn't. The correct wwe ruu should be fine to return to stock.

the phone had a dead pixel and they exchanged it for me today.

Legend & questions - mobile network

Hello! my actual phone is a DHD but before I have had the htc legend and if I remember well it was about a year ago..
I remember having 2.1 eclair and the phone worked well.. after that I switched to iphone for a while and the legend was lent to a kinda friend.. that was the last thing I knew about it...until now.
I got it back because I had to send it to my girlfriend in London.. when I retrieved the phone, was 2.2 froyo?! but no htc sense account, otherwise it looked the same.. it is possible to be rooted? how can I find that? or was there an official update?
I used it in Romania on the Orange carrier but the startup shows vodafone so I guess it's unlocked.. now my girlfriend got it there in Uk and she is on O2 but said the mobile network did not work.. what to do? is it usable there? hope so
I don't know much about the Legend, nor about rooting (my DHD is stock..) maybe you can help
Thanks!
May be, you need to enter manualy the parameters of O2 network to acces network.
Go to parameters/wireless and network/Mobile network/Acces point name/ select O2 and configure it.
For me it's sl2sfr (for sfr provider), I don't know for O2, you must call your provider if you don't know.
Sorry for my english...
Thanks, i'll do so.. i already requested the network settings (several times) on their website but haven't received anything yet.. perhaps i have to wait. I will soon call to ask for the settings.. any chance not to work?

As for your other bit, we don't have HTCSense.com functionality.
But then again, neither does the Thunderbolt. I AM NOW SUPER HAPPY!
Yeah, the htc sense does not work.. is there any way to get it work?:/
And what's with the tbolt? Why not working??
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
It doesn't work because it doesn't have it.
Let's say you have a car, and it doesn't work. You could fix that. But you can't really fix a car when you don't have one, right?
) got it, but why is the thunderbolt without sense?! I mean it's a great feature (have mine on DHD) and it's really shame i lost it from the legend..

1.84 ota update for Vodafone???

Hi I was just wondering if anyone with a branded dhd from Vodafone has got this update yet in the u.k??
Cos apparently its rolling out on branded phones first but I been checking and checking but no sign tut, its been out for a while hasn't it? I did actually phone Vodafone to ask them but he didn't have a clue. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. Still no update on my Vodafone branded DHD
Just my luck, get an unbranded phone for the first time and for the first time Vodafone branded phones get the update first lol.
Normally have to wait months for the branded phones to get updated with vodafone, although I suppose this has more to do with HTC than VF.

I'm not so sure that's true hawkwind
?? It just seems funny how people with branded dhd's ain't actually showing any update when they check?? Is it even rolling out in the u.k yet?? I thought we were one of the first lot to get it?

Does anyone have an official Virgin Media ROM that i can flash to my HD2. The touchscreen has failed and I need to send it back to be repaired but I dont want a voided warranty. I have flashed an official unbranded ROM butbi dont know if they will accept this.

Virgin Mobile
Hi i have a virgin mobile, you need the stock rom from the HTC site.

I have 3 Virgin Media phones. Two are unbranded but the 3rd (the broken one) was branded Virgin Media when I got it. I tried downloading the ROM from the HTC website and it said that it was not applicable for my Device. I phoned HTC to request collection and they specifically commented that it should be Virgin Media branded. Dont particularly want to pay for the repair.

Hi, tried using that ROM but it halted after 1% then failed stating.there was a connection error. Reinstalling the stock one i have to see if it was the ROM or the cable.

Seems to have been the UBS extension cable I was using. Official ROM failed too. Plugged it into another and it seems to be working so far. (yn)

You're an amazing member of the site. Thank you. Time to get this sent to HTC. POoh. Better remove HSPL first.

Radio for vodafone Australia

I recently moved to Australia from Canada and I was wondering what is the best radio to flash? I was with telus in Canada and I'm now with vodafone au here

G'day mate,
Welcome to Oz. Hope you have an awesome stay, however long it is.
I've tried numerous radios, and have always come back to 26.09.04.11_M2 for significantly better clarity, coverage, and data speeds. This has invariably been the case for my mates with rooted Desire HDs too, with both Sense and AOSP ROMs. Hope it works for you too.
Cheers.

Phone going back to Orange with Miui ROM on it

Has anyone sent a phone back to orange still rooted and with a custom rom on it?
My phone has got to go back due to a fault (water damage), I cant get any other rom to get past a boot loop at start so it has to go back with Miui rom on it.
I have tried to get other roms onto it but it will only accept my nand backups.
Just curious to see if im gonna get any problems from orange
regards
Jo
As understand it they will try and decline warranty repairs if they find evidence of software hacking, but AFAIK water damage is excluded from warranty repairs anyhow so I would expect them to repair it but at a cost.

They might take away your warranty, be careful!

It can vary....I know many people (including myself) who have sent phones to get repaired with customs roms etc and they havent found it however, it all depends on your luck and your providers intelligence

I've sent my Desire HD away to be repaired with MIUI (MrGaraks' Finest) on it, the vibration motor packed in. They sent it back repaired with the 1.72.405.x firmware on it, which wasn't the latest available but the only one that was rootable at the time.
When the motor packed in again. I sent it away with CM7 on it. It came back repaired with CM7.
Orange will send the handset to HTC to be repaired. Both times I sent the phone to Orange and they came back from HTC.
As always your experience may vary, depends who picks your phone up to fix it & what mood they are in.
