Hey Everyone,
I have a quick question for anyone who currently has an Adam. It was previously stated in one of the stupid crunchgear interviews with Rohan that the Adam should be easily opened.
I was curious if anyone could open it up, and look at the internals. Mainly, I was curious because everyone keeps saying that sniffer is reporting the internal memory as sdcard1, and if that's the case, it should be easily upgradeable (in my opinion at least) to a larger sd card (~32GB?), which would allow for a significant boost in memory.
We just need to know if that's the truth, or if sniffer just calls it that, and it is infact some internal flash memory that is integrated. And if it is discrete, what type of memory it is. Thanks for any information. I don't think there is a guide to busting this thing open yet, but I think Rohan did it in one of his videos, so maybe I'll try to find that and put it here for anyone to look at.
I don't have one yet, but i know what you are talking about. If you look at that interview it was from over a year ago and I think it was popped open so easily because it was a prototype. Hopefully I'm wrong, but that's my guess.
I know which one you are talking about, but that's not the same one I'm thinking of. I think you are referring to this video...
http://www.slashgear.com/notion-ink-adam-hands-on-0969281/
But I think there was a more recent one. Which I can't remember where it is. But he talks about how it should be easy to open in this video
http://www.youtube.com/notioninkfan#p/u/2/UAK9Q_sufYk
At about 5 minutes. When they are talking about service for the device.

Thanks for the post, but I don't think this is a production Adam. This one has the smaller bezel, and no buttons around the screen, so that could easily just be the micro sd card slot.
Got internal photos from the FCC site itself: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/...9;Y2GNI3421A01'
I do see a little possibility of using one of the USB ports and soldering a 32GB thumbdrive (Ubuntu! ) onto it.
A trickier mod will be getting a 4-port USB adaptor and de-solder the two onboard to power the 4-port and the re-solder 2 of the 4-port back to the de-soldered onboards...which leaves us 2 free ports to plug in anything which can be hidden in the casing.
What do guys think? Do let me know if it's feasible?
That FCC link didn't work for me, gives an error. Engadget has a gallery of all the FCC photos. Honestly, I'm a little startled. It looks like something home made rather than a company product.

Actually, I rather welcome such 'concept'. The modding would be much easier.
But we must all know that this unit has been deliberately disassembled into parts for FCC inspection. An average user wouldn't even see the innards of his/her gadgets through its shelf life. I mean, things can be tidied up alittle, wires cable-tied or tube shrinked.... but who sees them?
Its not the disassembly that concerns me it's how it was assembled, its not typically so hodgepodge like this. This wasn't a specific fcc model either. It was the same as those shipped to customers.
My concern is with the soldering, the braided and stranded wires and how long they are going to live up to daily use, heat, and movement.
Sure it could be good for a modder, but most of us don't know a great deal about hardware to mod.

I'd say it looks possible space wise, only thing that would hold you back perhaps would be with regard to the power given to the USBs.
Sent from my HTC Desire
Considering this is a startup company who probably rented out the cheapest chinese factory to put the thing together, the shoddy work isn't that surprising. Why people are making a deal of this is because of how much their ceo teased and built this tablet up for the past year, only to release the thing with shoddy software, screens, and gum holding it together.
Can you tell I'm disappointed? Lol

So Adam is uglier then home made star fox 2 carts inside, not a deal breaker if no major issues arise from this.
Can anyone see where the mouse panel use to be connected?

I'm thinking it's the ribbon connector beside the SIM card slot.
[Edited: Went through Dragonitte's teardown on the production model, ribbon connector is actually the one to the screens.]

Well, since it has a trackpad on the back, I'd say your assumption is dead wrong. It's obviously not "the same as those shipped to customers". Possibly a prototype that's very near final design. I'm not sure.
The fcc pics are not valid, not the production model
Sorry for yelling. Just have to make people understand that there has not been a teardown of a production model adam yet. Your basing your fears on a prototype and bad reporting. Wait until notioninkhack does there teardown of the device.
Yeah guys, the stupid engadget report looks just like they are jumping to conclusions. I mean look at the external pictures. It even has what looks like a part for a back track pad still which is definitely not on production models.
Also, Rohan has responded to this on the blog.

No, they dont. FCC does't approve build quality, they approve signal/noise/communication type things. They obviously accept prototypes and not just retail models because in a Q/A on the site it says this:
"Q: My sample is a prototype, I can’t afford to have it destroyed by testing. Can we test FCC without destroying the sample?
A: FCC testing is usually not destructive. Tell your FCC lab what you want them to do with the sample when you are done with it. In many cases, it can be returned in the same shape it was submitted. If the sample fails, modifications to the sample to determine the corrective actions are quite frequently cosmetically damaging – warn the lab if you expect to reuse the sample after testing."
Just because you THINK something is true, doesn't make it true. Not the first time it's happened in just this thread, either.

Model's submitted to FCC testing are the final product that will hit shelves. Non functioning aspects of it may change (color, slight looks, etc), but all electronics must be final.
It's cute that you think a company can get FCC approval for one item, but ship another item under the same FCC ID.

I was very pleased to read this-
http://www.gsmarena.com/200000_samsung_glaxy_s_phones_sold_in_south_korea_in_10_days-news-1786.php
Considering the fact that stocks sell off like hot scones in the UK and there are even shortages, and the fact that the device is selling well in the U.S even before carrier-based versions started selling, i see a bright future for the Galaxy S platform.
If in south korea alone it sold 200,000 , and in the UK Clove, Expansys and Handtec had severe shortages untill several days ago, i'm guessing it already sold over 300-350K worldwide.
Again, even before carriers around the world started marketing it.
Now i want to see what happens after carriers around the world start selling it, if these kinds of numbers will continue to flow in, i think it's close to impossible that samsung won't support it for a prolonged period.
Share your 2 cents, i'm having great expectations right now.

^ Yeah, I lol at that one.
But OP, your right. This is Samsung's all out effort to gain marketshare in the smartphone area. They are #2 when it comes to feature phones (dumb phones). However, in smartphone market, they are #4 or 5. In fact, last quarter they LOST market share. Analysts have projected that in a few years, the majority of phones sold will be smartphones, so it is imperative for Samsung to gain market share and win over customers. You can not do that with products that are unsupported. I bet they got a wake up call when HTC came out of no where and gained market share quicker then Samsung did. In fact HTC (which is very small company compared to Samsung), has a greater market share than the big ol Samsung. They know for a fact that with increased relations with developers, that their handsets have gained sales. Samsung created an open source distribution website where source codes for most of their products have been released since April of this year. So that is a good positive step in the right direction. Also, we all know Samsung makes great hardware, however their software side has been less stellar. Its beginning to be changed as more money and resources are pouring into the software side.(Bada, new R&D center in India devoted to software, new emphasis by corporate to focus more money in software etc).
I hope we are right.
As far as I can see, Samsung is winning customers over HTC right now. I am one of those, and I spotted many others in the forums.
IMO the point is that HTC's success has been largely undeserved, but rather based on the efforts of people here on XDA; on the contrary, it looks like they did everything they could to make people run away screaming. Despite all the work that has been done, even developers on XDA have never found a way to get a performance from, say, the Touch HD that could at least be called acceptable, if you look at the specs. Marketing a device as the "ultimate multimedia experience" and then selling it without proper drivers, is just pure BS. And this incredible problem affected an entire range of products for at least two years.
So, I would say, HTC should be paying a much higher price than they are, for their behaviour... we'll see in the next few months. I know I sound harsh but I seriously hope they lose it. Samsung FTW
OP needs to change his topic to something less misleading. When i first glance your "bright spot" made me thought that the new phones have some defect in the screen.
I thought your post was to say that samsung sold many phones with defective "bright spots" on their screens.

Anyways, now that samsung is selling masses of their flagship phone, they have to be completely retarded to not support it properly. It would be equevilant to commiting suicide.
Also, it sold a lot on their "home court", if samsung will let even koreans down, their cellular department is going to take a major hit.

Hello,
Here is a little article about samsung vs apple, there is a nice section about production lines.
It's a Korean article transleted into English.
[too bad I'm new and can't post a link] To those still interested by the article, you can google search "askakorean apple vs samsung" first article!
It's maybe a bit out of context, but since you were talking about shortages.
If someone would be nice enough to post the link so it's easier for everybody

Interesting to read someones opinion, but that's all it is. My other half is Korean, and she, like I work in the electronics industry and we're both intimately aware of how Korean giants like Samsung operate, the key element in the Galaxy S isnt rapid turn around, its a change in corporate policy towards the design of the phone, by involving hundreds of potential users in the development stages.
I also disagree with his premise that the iPhone 4 is a 'great' product. I've had a play with an iPhone 4 and I think it suffers from Form over Function. It's actually a little uncomfortable in the hand. It may be made from glass and steel and look great, but such hard materials with squared off edges and profiles doesn't sit right in your hand.
The objects we most commonly hold in our hands are cups/mugs, pens and computer mice. They're rounded and softened, ok household mugs are ceramic from a practical materials aspect, but even a travel mug has a rubberized grip.
I just don't get the hysteria over the IP4, when I look at it I do see a photogenic object, but I also see a design fail.
Leaving the comfortability issue aside, i'm bothered by the durability aspect.
Using superhardened glass may be good against scratches, but without a shock absorbing frame of some sort, the harder the galss- the more prone to shattering it will be, and harder glass shatters more catastrophically.
"regular" hardness glass usually gets cracks or little shattered points.
Superhardened galss- it's "all or nothing". Either nothing hapeens, or it shatters completely.
Deciding to put the glass ON the frame instead of IN the frame (like previous iPhones) was a much bigger design flaw than the less-round corners IMO.
I'm hearing a lott of buzz about samsung using mostly plastic, and how "inappropreate" it is for a super high-end device, but from a pratical viewpoint-
It's durable, it's cheap and easy to replace it's comfortable, and it doesn't block reception as much as more expensive materials.
Indeed, my BlackBerry is plastic, and that's never been an issue.
I heard from another community that Tmo has halted the sale of G2, the people said that claims to have with connections in HTC. Newer G2 will have spring for their hinges to address the heated issue. US owner probably can have their G2s replaced. But people who have imported it (I am one of them) can just hope that the spring can be installed by local cellphone mechanics, or just live with it.
Where is this information coming from?
I personally have no problems with my G2 as is... but I'm sure a great many will be happy if this is true.
Please provide source. But I really hope HTC and T-mobile will make it up to their customers.
I got to elaborate...
I heard it from a non-English speaking Android community (one of the most well-known ones in the country)
someone questioned the guy by posting a picture of Tmo website with the G2 still on sale
then he replied that he got inside source and even you have ordered, you may have to wait and the people in the shops might not know it
I don 't live in the States, so non-US owners have to depend on US owners to prove if it is true by testing out the new G2s

So a lot of hearsay ... could wind up being interesting if it turns out to be true.
Remember
Remember, PT Barnum said it best... There's a sucker born every minute...
If you call TMO they will say it's back ordered for a week, but may ship much sooner. So only online sales are "halted", but TMO stores, Radio Shack and other resellers are still selling the "defective" units? I doubt it.
I am a manager of a Target Mobile and we have had no communication from T-Mobile about halting the sales of the G2.
The guy says he has inside info from HTC, not Tmo
All we can do is to wait and see if the newer G2s are spring loaded
I have no problems with mine, but I just might make some up if they next ones will be spring loaded haha. No worries here though, could careless sorta if this is fake.

You can't actually kill something by OC'ing... they build in protection mechanisms on the CPU die itself. You'd have to ESD it or run it extremely overvolted for a serious period of time to do any actual damage.
Also, in all actuality the "crappy" hinge G2's would never be resold and thus would have 0 value.

I constantly have a hand in product development for the 4x4 industry working as a magazine editor. Recently I decided to just go ahead and build RAM compatible mounts for my Streak and my girl's Streak. Having found no car mounts that were sturdy enough or within my price range (requiring many for multiple vehicles) I figured making them was the best option. And, using RAM mounts for GPS units and laptops in the past, why not build off a proven and sturdy arm/platform?
However upon searching for plastic molding techniques and services I quickly found that there are quite a few companies offering such services near me. Not necessarily conveniently near me, but near enough to second guess doing it myself.
I realize this a poor way to go about it, but if there was a better way I don't know it. I am basically offering to do the legwork... given the site moderators blessings to contact/go to each local company and solicit prototypes for a RAM compatible Streak holder/charger.
Again, I do this every day for work... and I regret I don't know a better way to present this opportunity. Mods, please feel free to lock/delete/contact me back channel about this. I can easily approach local plastic molders with a shootout/prototype kind of thing and put up an online article with all interested parties and how the protos fit the Streak. It could be a good chance for the XDA Streak Freaks to get a great mount, a further claim for xda towards being a giant resource, and a chance for the surprisingly large amount of local SoCal businesses to get into a new market.
Obviously, to those who might read something into this that isn't intended... I'm only trying to get the mods approval to waste a lot of my own time... I'm promising nothing to anyone about anything except square dealing if they will let me represent the site in this one narrow venture. If it comes to fruition, well... RAM mounts are awesome... but we aren't even a tenth of the way down said road.
Again, to mods: Sorry for the public petition. I realize it is unprofessional. I didn't know where or how else to posit said query in a better manner.
the idea sounds interesting. however, did you check brodit / proclip stuff already? they are quite similar to this RAM stuff but have the added value of the tilt swivel so that you can orientate your device way more freely.
I wasn't aware that there was a Proclip mount for the Streak, and a quick perusal of the site doesn't show one in the list of devices either.
Bracketron for the win! I use their vent-mounted holder and it works amazing with my Streak. Arms might not open wide enough to fit the phone in landscape, but I love my phone sitting in it vertically personally. Check the link below to Amazon, they have a lot of different styles for a very fair price. My brother has one too and we have no complaints about the sturdy-ness, they seem to be fairly high-quality.

LOL, oh I get ya. I like the RAM mounts as I do a lot of off-road kind of stuff, and the RAM arms are the sturdiest I've found, hence my thinking of going down that road. Also, there are already a lot of vehicle-specific RAM mounts out there.

I have something similar in one of my Jeeps now in the form of a Wilson Electronics cell phone range booster, and I can tell you I wouldn't trust it to hold the Streak. My tilt fell out of it so many times I lost count a long time ago.
That might be because you're using a "similar" device... maybe? My brother and I have been using the Bracketron with our Streak's for almost a year now and we've never had a problem with it.
We had to get a similar device from Best Buy when we were on a trip in Arizona, and it did exactly what you described. The phone (Tilt 2 as well, at the time) kept falling out. We found it was caused by the silicone arm holders. Bracketron holders use a tough foam on theirs. Big difference there.
My brother also used his Bracketron with his Tilt 2 for a year prior as well, no issues.

A word of warning. Chinese vendors have recently released a multitude of tablets that look nice on the outside and act nice when you first turn it on. The problem that's been floating around the internet is that they often die after a few days. These are cheap imitations of the real thing.
Please stay away from these products. Buy from legit vendors or retailers. The last thing we want is to encourage these counterfeit/fake companies to expand.
Added by edit.
First, it was the Iped. Now, it's the Apad. There's also the Superpad. There's a reason they name them so closely to the Ipad.
I don't mean to put down foreign companies. But we really do have to watch out for these fake tablets.

This is why I said I am not dissing foreign products. I fully understand that most things these days are made in China. But there's a difference. Products with legit names have (hopefully) better quality control.
Again, why in the world would a product brand named almost a perfect immitation of a real thing that's popular? Iped. Apad. Superpad. Etc. If a product can stand on its own silicon feet, then let it. If it needs to imitate to sell, then chances are it's got something to hide.
People often try to talk me down when I share my concern. So, let me repeat. I have no problem with products made in China. I do have a problem with these companies that are springing up all over China that pay little attention to quality control and sell their products through cheap imitation of real popular things. We as consumers need to stop supporting these immoral practices by staying away from these cheap imitations.
Fair enough. for the most part a lot of rogue sellers on B2c platforms, and auction sites do not qc products before shipping - this does not mean the product is inferior: it comes down to how the seller qc's / tests / describes product before shipping.
It is not fair to make assumptions about company qc. ChinaGrabber.com is actually a USA site if you do a who.is search.
Lastly, many people on the apad.tv forums, including myself, have bought the "Branded" iBex Flytouch3.
ChinaGrabber is also a supporter of the forum so if their products have quality issues, including iBex tablets, I am sure people would be complaining. For the most part, I have only seen positive reviews.
The GS-708 is a new tablet so it will probably be a while until people get it and review it.

Again, I am not dissing everything that comes out of China or embracing everything that comes out of the US. There are honest to god legit US companies that have been created for the sole purpose of having an American sounding name and American base to sell Chinese, often inferior, products. An example of this is the company called Augen based in Florida. I'm sure many of you have heard of the Augen gentouch series. These are really cheap tablets that pretty much have everything that's wrong with them. Quality control is nonexistent. Tech support is nonexistent. The screens are made of plastic instead of glass.
For a time, I was curious enough to look into this company. What I found was that this so-called company name Augen has exactly 7 employees, including the so-called CEO. The company base is in a hotel suit. So, I went a step further and bought one of their products. I then pretended to be a complete dummy and called their "tech support". I asked some questions that any newbie dev would know. It was painful to listen to the guy's half-cooked answers. Let just say he didn't even know what a kernel was.
Augen is now selling what they call their espresso series. Very shiny pieces of plastic. Completely not worth anything at all.
The point is again let me repeat myself. We as consumers need to discourage such immoral practices in the trade by staying away from these fakers. Yes, most of them are from China. But there are a number of them who are based here in the US. And I am convinced they are all over Europe as well.
If the name sounds almost like something really popular, best to stay away from it.

If a product is legit and is able to stand on its own, then name it something else. Boycott!
On a side note
This kind of business practice reminds me of "mockbusters" - movies named after the most popular moves of the moment to hopefully convince people to waste cash on some b rated crap by misdirection. I spent two weeks of research before buying my Iconia - easy to see how if i had not done my homework I could have been totally ripped off.

Yup. When pirates of the carribean 2 came out, a soft porn movie came out called "pirates". Being a zombie fan, I've seen dozens and dozens of cheap budgeted movies with very similar names to high budgeted movies.
We need to stop endorsing these practices with our money.
Hey folks, I have to agree.
I bought a couple of inexpensive Chinese tablets on my tablet journeys. One was the Haipad M701-R that wasn't so great so I sold it. The other is my current 7" cheapie: a Rena3 that is actually an okay piece in most respects, but suffers from poor video playback due to shoddy support by the manufacturer with no promise of...anything to fix it anytime soon or...ever maybe.
What you save in money you lose in ongoing support, even with the better built ones.
The closet full of coding slaves the small companies have is only good for a couple of firmware revisions at best before the next big device they want to sell has to be coded for.
REAL support ends up being through the community in the form of someone in the know creating custom firmwares for these cheapie tabs, if you are lucky.
IF
The satisfaction level with my a500 is through the roof by comparison, and the firmware came down the line on it's own and WORKED.
PRICE IS NOT VALUE

So I was looking @ chinese devices and I saw this one at chinagrabber.com and would like to know what u all think. Its called the gs-708. I want a tab that runs gingerbread with decent specs, duel cameras and supports 3g and sim cards. Advice is welcome. Didn't know where else to post this. I know the nookis an easy device to root but imlooking for a device with a little more to offer. Idealized there will be little to no device support but I am learning to work with devices.
Here's the link.

I would warn anyone off ChinaGrabber.
I bought a Flytouch 3 10" tablet from them.
The GPS was locked to Chin.
The battery lasted 1 hour after charges, and later on the charge would not 'take'.
Finally the battery exploded, destroying the tablet and filling the room with toxic fumes.
ChinaGrabber's answer to the GPS and battery was to send me to some dumb forum and I was told to try the things posted there.
When I did try them and told them it didn't work they told me that doing these things invalidated my warranty.
PayPal (the scamming bastards) upheld my payment guarantee complaint, but then reversed their decision - they said to get the refund I had to send the item back in the condition I received it, I told them it was melted, cracked and burnt from the exploding battery, they said it's either condition-I-received-it, or no refund, then cancelled the entire claim on me.
Don't buy ChinaGrabber, don't use PayPal..
Check out the Rena3. It is a dual core tablet with a &
I've owned a couple of the cheaper Chinese tablets...one M0003 7" and a 7" rockchip tablet. I gotta say, that while it was fun to take them both apart and dork around with the insides, the fact that I ended up needing to take them apart to fix them should be a good indicator of quality control. The touchscreen went out on the first one, and while I could still use it with a mouse, it was useless as a tablet and the second had a shoddy joint at the battery and I had to resolder it to keep it going. After those experiences, I decided to go with a better name and got a Gtablet. Still have that and its ticking away like clockwork. My 6 year old uses it to play Angry Birds and watch videos every day. I got my A500 for my daily driver and have not been disappointed at all. I don't think I will ever buy another knock-off tablet again. The use-ability just isn't there, and the QC is questionable at best. My advice is if you want something with 3g capabilities, try to find a used Xoom or A501 on Ebay or something, cause even used it will be a better choice than a no-name.

I hear that. The iPed was an obvious one.
But, Apad, which is in the GS-708 title is a word that discribes a Chinese Android Running tablet pc or "Android pad" or A pad. Do not think that sounds like anyting mainstream.
You guys are right to always do research on a product before buying it. I think this is why the OP posted thread.
We don't care what the box looks like and what's in it. Also we've seen plenty of Lollipop walk-though videos, we don't need another one.
Here's what we DO care about:
A good description of the color, especially the midnight blue model
What the backing material feels like. References to other materials would be helpful
For god sakes, play a youtube video or music so you can report back on how the FF speakers perform. Maybe a comparision to HTC's boom sound?
Please USE the camera in your videos so we can see how fast the autofocus and shooter is.
That is all. End of rant
There is a very tight double embargo on the Nexus 6. A number of sites came out with unboxing and 'hands on' in which they were not allowed to show any of the things you mentioned. The actual reviews will come soon when the 2nd embargo lifts.

Did not know this! Have been wondering why so many hands on, but no reviews.
I guess that makes sense especially if there's OTA firmware coming over the next few weeks to address last minute issues.
Yeah, was listening to the android central podcast and Phil Nickinson said they have an embargo with the N6 and there are thing he can't say or discuss right now.
I'll have to echo ECrispy on this. Many of the reviewers couldn't even log into their google accounts from the device.

I seriously don't understand the "embargo" on certain topics.
What, is discussing details about performance going to stop people from buying the device? Oh! That is right...you can't buy the device or even pre-order it until lord (Google) knows when. So Google is intentionally stopping people from buying their device AND stopping people from talking about it...for no reason whatsoever.

It would be one thing if Google were making like Santa Claus and making an in-order-or-receipt list of pre-orders to fill, and 20,000 people could cancel if they didn't like the first impressions/reviews.
But when Google knowingly and actively prevents 90%+ of people from forking over money who are otherwise willing customers *and* embargoes actual reviews...it is just stupid.
The Verge was able to use the camera and talk about it, albeit briefly. I guess the rules same don't apply to everyone?
I noticed a flood of hands on impressions posted right when the N6 was available for pre-order so I assume the first embargo was lifted on Wed AM. Big question is - When is the 2nd embargo lifted??

1) not sure if color is the easiest thing to describe... since what might look good to one person might not look good to the person sitting next to them.
2) Pretty sure i've seen hands-on videos and write-ups that mention it having a soft-touch plastic back.... but then again, some say it's more of a slippery plastic... so who knows. Probably all depends on what they consider "soft-touch".
3) So... you want them to record a video of how dual front-facing speakers perform, with a camera that more than likely only has a single microphone to begin with? How would that help with trying to see how good it sounds? If anything, it'll sound WORSE than it would in person.
4) Again... another thing i'm pretty sure i've seen in a video... but can't seem to find right now.

This is my first time buying a nexus phone and so hyped about it by being introduced to aosp on my oneplus one, this nexus is what i wanted in a phone and though because it's a nexus that it would be more hyped up by google but they seem to think differently. Sstayed up all night and didnt get much work done the next moring trying to pre order but we all know how that went. I did however preorder with expansys as a backup. I have watched the unboxing videos some much just to get a fix until i can get it. Come on google take my damn money already.

1) Not looking for subjective reviews on the color, but rather a comparison to perhaps another smartphone with the same hue (if possible)
2) I remember reading reviews of the while N5 when it first launched. Several people compared the texture to that of the Mac keyboard which I found spot on.
3) Obviously we won't be able to hear the speakers from our perspective. Looking to get initial feedback (from the reviewer) on the volume and clarity of the speakers which are important to a lot of us. I find the speaker in the N5 to be lacking.
OP chill out. Google has chosen to give people phones to check out and get an overall feel of the device. Hardware is final, software is not. Hence the reason they dont want people throwing up reviews and knocking Lollipop with unpolished software. Obviously there will be a OTA pushed out the day before the Embargo is lifted. Then you will get more full reviews then you can shake your stick at. Patience!!
This needed a thread... Really?
Think you're getting confused with unboxing videos and review videos.
Two completely different types of videos.. hence the name
FYI - Android police just posted an initial impressions piece that addressed a lot of my questions. Kudos to them!

The fact that many people will jump to a conclusion and potentially not buy a device if a reviewer has something bad to say about a bug or something similar without giving Google a chance to fix it.
Fairly certain that the last bullet point is specifically restricted by Google's NDA agreements, as well as more detailed reviews. Gotta wait till Nov 12 before we can get our fill of stuff
