I had a feature on an older phone that let you set the screen timeout for the homescreen separately to inside apps. Not for single apps but for apps as a whole.
Is there a way this could be implemented to the sys or even all android handsets?
Unless there is an app or something out there that does this already.
Thanks

If like me you have 5 plus screens, check out apps organiser, I think its great, I'm now down to 2 screens. Simply create labels to group apps by and place all apps in these groups meaning you are never further away from anything by 2 clicks! this also means less memory in use for your launcher.happy days, give it a whirl

how is this different from folders?
Err not tried folders
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
AFAIK, apps must be placed in android folders manually, and if you accidentally delete the folder, you have to do the same thing again. With apps organizer it's much easier with this so called labeling. Also, new apps go instantly under label "other apps".

I use folder organizer which is much the same thing. really handy!
My girlfriend's Epic does something strange, whenever you scroll screens, especially the home screens, the GPS icon flashes for a couple of seconds. It did this on stock, went away when flashed cm7, and now it's doing it again. It does this with all launchers as well.
Is there a program that can trace what is activating this?
Thanks in advance.

You could use aLogCat to view the OS logs it is available in hte market, though it may be a weather app or facebook, could also be some type of malware as well.
Beautiful widgets?

No I mean like when you go to setting and select a system app then the gb has the unclickable unistall button but is there way to modify that to change into disable. Thanks anyways.

Is there any way to disable the auto rotate feature strictly for the stock messaging app? I hate that it reverts back to the beginning of a thread any time it rotates..

Have a look for Ultimate Rotation Control in the Play Store. You can set it to disable rotation on specific apps, force rotation on specific apps that don't rotate, and set global rules and then also override them individually. Very nice app IMO.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch.
