[Q] Backups: xRecovery & Titanium - Android Software Development

Hey guys! I was wondering if you could straighten something out for me. I have backed up my phone using xRecovery.
However, I also have everything backed up on Titanium Backup.
Do I need to bother backing up on Titanium if I already have everything backed up on xRecovery?
I hate wasting space on my sd card
Thanks for any help you can give!

Using backup with apps even though the apps are on my sd?

So, I normally use JF1.51 but I recently decided to update to Hero. I have a nandroid backup of my JF1.51 which has all of my applications in the backup. However, before I updated to Hero, I moved my apps from my phone to my sd. Now, I want to move back to my JF1.51 backup. Will it cause any problems if use the backup to put the apps back on my phone and they are already on my sd?
tl;dr: If I use a backup to restore apps to my phone even though they are on my sd will anything get ****ed up?

What to use to backup when switching ROMs?

Hey guys,
I'm currently using MIUI and I want to switch to CM6.1, but I'm using Darktremor's App2SD and I'm not sure what to use to backup the apps and data and what to use to restore them.
I tried backing the stuff up with Clockworkmod's recovery but after I flashed CM6, I restored the data and SD Ext. only and the phone couldn't boot up the ROM.
How do I switch ROMs and still keep my apps and their data?
Titanium backup.
Titanium Backup, if all you want are apps and data.
Recovery backs up the whole ROM.
Titanium Backup used to work but after I started using App2Sd Ext it doesn't show any apps in the list.

I use enoms and dark tremor apps2sd with titanium backup and never had this issue. Make sure you don't have a any filters enabled in titanium and try installing newest busybox.

[Q] problem with coping sd to another

Hey everybody i just made my account but I'm not a total noob. like the registration video says ............as i know how to root and copy apps to sd and roms and xrecovery and all that stuff......etc.
Anyway the problem i faced is that i have my x8 rooted and all app on sd using "link2sd" and made a backup with xrecovery too then i decided to buy a new 8gb sd card but after i partitioned it and copied all my stuff when i restore my backup my apps doesn't show
so please any one tell me how to copy the whole things from my old sd card to my new one to have the phone just the same but with larger space in sd ?????
thanks for anyone who helped or even tried to.
put in your old sd card, so you will have all apps installed, backup them with titanium backup, then make a partition on your new card, put it in the phone, restore apps with titanium, move them to sd card witk link2sd
i hope that this will help you
Use Clockworkmod-Recovery.
It also backs up your sd-ext and the.android_secure folder.
every thing is screwed up when when i used that CWM recovery it could not restore the backup on the new sd card so i went back to the old one but it restores with no apps appearing in menu they are installed but corrupted or something .....after that i went back to xrecovery with hope BUT no .......the same thing happened restores with no apps appearing so i'm kind of desperate and probably will reinstall each and every app. losing all progress in them and all info so any last suggestions plz.......
AND thnx for anyone helped or didn't

Help me !!

Hello and sorry for posting here but I can't find a solution to make Helium to restore or backup my apps to Sd card... I'm using Kushan ROM lite version... with Sd card protection removed... but I can't backup my apps... Please someone help me... Thank you !!
Use ES File Explorer instead to back up and restore apps. As a bonus, if you're rooted (and you should be if running a custom ROM), it can also back up the data associated with the apps for later restoration.
Or titanium backup
