How can i delete Windows live account from settings?
Unfortunately you can't remove the first Live account set up on the phone - though you can remove others added afterwards.
To remove the first account you have to do a reset.
Settings >> About >> Reset Your Phone

Paul
Then i must unlock phone again?
Yeah - unfortunately doing this will reset WP7 to a fresh install, so you will have to unlock, regedit and re-enter live activation code.

Hello :
I have cyanogenMod ROM i cant use another gmail acount ....always ask the details from the previous owner....
Help please.
Thnks in advance.
well....
I dont know if this also works on the nexus, but i just did a factory wipe reset on my g1 back i the day to remove the other persons account and then just re-sign in with your own accont at the initial setup wizard.
I already instaled a new copy of cyanogenMod and i have done a factory wipe from the menu.
I thought it was enough.....sthil asking from previous owner details.
Thnks...
so the intial setup wizard doesnt pop up after a wipe or reflashing cyanogen?
Yes it pops up....when i put the my details says ask from the detail from the previous user...
thats weird, ive even signed in on my g1 with multiple gmail accounts...So you type in your gmail adress and your password and it asks for other information?
The problem is when try to open the market.
Thnks again
Do I just need to follow these steps...
1. Install WP7 sdk Windows Phone Developer Tools;
2. Install zune;
3. Make partneship with zune and phone;
4. Attach the ChevronWP7.cer(you found in the toolkit) to your email and send the email to your email itself (On PC);
5. Login to your email account (On Phone), Open the email, Select attachment and install the cert;
6. Connect your phone to pc and make sure zune is running in background;
7. Run the unlocker (ChevronWP7.exe) and click unlock button(Make sure your phone date is set correctly)
(you need to close skype and disable network adapter.. hamachi.. wireless.. Dropbox.. etc)
6. Install toms .xap installer;
7. Deploy Connection Setup.xap, Touch Xplorer.xap and XBMODDeployer.xap (Install it on the phone and run XBMODDeployer.xap);
8. Copy the .provxml from the ringtons folder to the windows folder (on the phone using touch explorer app);
9. Run connection setup to install the .provxml;
10. Call Microsoft helpdesk and ask them an activating key for your hd2 (don't pm me for the key)
11. Setup up your live ID and enter the activation code (on the phone).

And then LIVE services would be working? Cause did it and its not, but im not sure if its just the LIVE account i signed up with, cause i signed in with the one i used for my Xbox Live account. Which happens to be a gmail account. I never received an email when i typed in the activation code. I cant change my current Windows Live account on my phone without having to reset it.
If i figure all i need to do is create a new Windows Live account from Live.com, reset my phone, and then sign in with that email and type in the activation code.
Does that sound right? I'm just double checking. Cause I'm confused.
Does the Windows Live account have to be linked to an Xbox Live account for it to work. I'm assuming it has to be "@live.com"
I just reset my phone and had to go through the whole unlocking process. Then I clicked Xbox Live and created an account from there. It had me type in the 25 digit activation key I acquired from calling ms. After that I figured I should be able to use the marketplace, but it comes up with this message everytime i try to download something.
Can't get this info right now. Check back in a little while.

Is my account going through a verification process or something why do I have to wait? Or possibly could the activation key be wrong, but wouldn't it of said something if it was?
Sorry for being so consistent. I was just trying to get it done tonight, but ill just be patient. Please and Thank You XDA
In your phone, go to "Settings", then "About" and see what is the model shown. If it's LEO70, then that's the problem. Your phone should show HTC HD7 T9292.
So either you haven't applied the correct reg hack, or you used the "package" in one of the early threads which includes everything you need. That package has a bug in one of the registry keys, an extra space in one of the keys. This is the keys as they should be:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo]
"OemName"="HTC"
"MODeviceName"="HD7 T9292"
"OEMDeviceName"="Schubert"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident]
"FriendlyName"="HTC HD7"
(The buggy package tries to install a key for "DeviceTarget Info" - extra space).

Can you send me a link to thread or a video that shows how to fix this problem?
I'm having a specific situation that I need help with.
Marketplace has just been opened in Croatia. So now i need to switch my liveID, and put my real, Croatian one as the main phone account. The one I have now was just a token one made registered to UK just so that I could have access to free marketplace.
I have a Samsung Omnia and I's been updated via Zune to the 8107 firmware. Windowbreaking after hard reset is not an option than.
Can I just restore the phone via Zune, hard reset, enter my croatian ID and windowbreak, OR
Do I need to flash my phone with and older firmware manually?
In other words, will zune restore also remove the samsung patch for windowbreak?
I think that should work.
I did the same, except I never did the hard reset because I wanted to keep the same live ID linked to the phone.
When you did the latest samsung update on Zune, it would've created a restore point for you automatically. Now if you plug in your phone, open Zune, click settings/phone/update, it will check for a new update, say there is none, and then give you the option at the bottom to restore.
Naturally you should make sure your contacts are synced to some other place (I use an Outlook account) and all your new photos and videos have been synced to zune.
Then do the restore, and make sure you don't allow your phone to update again after the restore. Hard reset, enter the new liveID and then windowbreak.
Hope this answers your question...
Thanks for the reply. Jaxbot already said it would work, but i appreciate a confirmation. i'm just getting ready to do it
Hi guys,
What is the best way to backup apps, settings and any other data when upgrading from Mango to Tango?
Also, how do I extract my serial key from windows live that MS rep gave me?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223619
Is this still the best option?

BACKUP OF APPLICATIONS SETTINGS AND GAME SAVES
(recommended)
Before flashing new ROM, you can save desired applications settings and game saves.
You can’t backup complete app or game, only settings and saves.
Download Windows Phone Device Manager v1.10.0.0, install, run and sync with HTC HD2
Go to “Manage applications”, wait to scan for installed apps be done
Select desired apps or game which you want backup, right click an select Backup.
To restore backup, install fresh app or game to device, run WPDM and
sync HTC HD2, then run backup file on your PC.

You must note your key and keep a record of it someplace as it can be reused after a hard reset or a new rom. I have the following precess that makes it easy to 'install' it each time. I wrote this for another thread a while ago:
Note, this is not about getting your Activation code - you must already have your Activation code!!! It is about applying it easily after each Hard Reset.
The Activation code is required when signing in with a Windows Live ID on your Windows Phone 7
The first time that you sign in with your Windows Live ID on Windows Phone 7 you may see the following message prompting you to enter an activation code:
--------------------------------
| ACTIVATION REQUIRED
|
| An activation code is required before we can finish setting up your
| Phone. Please contact customer service. You can skip this step and do it
| later.
|
--------------------------------
Here's how to set the Activation code by installing an XAP rather than entering all those characters manually.
It is much easier and worth the few minutes to setup. Simply make this the first XAP App you install and then log into Windows Live using your email address etc. and it does not even ask you for an Activation code.
Repeat: you must have your Activation code already!!!
OK here you go. I've done it a couple of times now as suggested by xboxmod in WP7 Registry tweak
MS Activation Code so you don't have add it manually use the following
Code:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\GwpCPC]
"ActivationCode"="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****"
But take care with the code ActivationCode"="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****"
The "-" are not underscore "_", though they look like it, but dashes "-" (hyphens)
- I got caught with this.
Now run MS Activation Code XAP App before logging into to Live/Marketplace. Works a treat and skips the Live Code step. (Obviously you need the code first.)
You can then use it more than once - each time you hard reset or load a new rom for example.
Incredible, thank you,
