I've flashed ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5 and a CyanogenMod 7 nightly. Instead of having to boot into Clockwork recovery and flash updates manually, I'm trying to use ROM Manager 3.0.0.7 to automatically update to the latest CM7 nightly. When ROM Manager tries to update, it downloads the new ROM, but when trying to flash, it quickly gives an error and reboots. Is there anyway to get ROM Manager to do it's job with the newer ClockworkMod?
Rom manager doesn't support cm7 yet. It wont until we have a release candidate according to koush.

Hello,
my phone was working like a charm with cm 7.1 , Siyah Kernel, clockworkmod recovery mod 5.0.2.
I decided to upgrade my Siyah Kernel from 2.0 beta 8 to v2.
I used the QR code from Xda forum. Phone downloaded kernel, then once download finished, opened Rom Manager app, then invite me to install the new .zip file.
I usually do it manually, in rebooting in recovery and installing the .zip file in recovery mod, but I wanted to try this way.
Now my phone doesn't boot, hanf on on Samsung logo. No recovery mod available, only download mod.
Tried to reinstall ClockworkMode recovery 5 with Odin, but nothing happens. The yelow box stays yellow, and message hans on at Setup connection.
I alos tried to flash P-SBL.tar with odin, but it failed.
So, what can I do??
EDIT : Issue solved. Retried with Odin and ClockworkMod. This time I booted in recovery, phone booted in it and installed new kernel, and the booted in cm 7.1. I do think this issue came from Rom Manager.
So far as i know, using rom manager with the S2 is a mistake.
The S2 dosnt like rom manager much, and it can end up in a lot of problems up to a semi bricked phone.
Glad you solved it , but i recommend to avoid rom manager for now
Hi all,
Few problems with my TF101. I was running Cyanogen mod rom (not sure witch version, the boot screen was an alien in a vortex). Anyway i was getting some random reboots and the tablet started booting into CWM every time. I have tried several versions of CWM and other recoveries but none will install. In CWM i select the zip install-success, hard reboot and the pad again boots to CWM recovery v5.8.3.4. (also i cant access my external SD with this version of CWM)
While this is a nuisance the latest issue is than no custom will boot. They stick on the boot animation (i have waited up to 4 hours). The only rom that works is Revolver 4.2.1 but wifi does not work.
When i try to install stock roms in CWM it aborts with no error.
When I install the recovery installer APK it reboots to CWM v5.8.3.4 and does nothing
My ideal end state is a functioning CM rom and CWM that boots correctly.
Any ideas folks?
fixed my CWM issue with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29632231&postcount=3
I then installed the recovery apk and wsa able to install CM V6
Hello all,
I have ROM Manager Premium app. I have flashed newer versions of CWM Recovery before just fine. I recently decided to pay the $2 or whatever for easy flashes to CWM Touch right from the app. It flashed 6.0.4.4 Touch. When I boot into recovery, the version number is 6.0.3.6, and it is not touch. When I go back into ROM Manager, the version reported as installed is 6.0.4.4. How is this possible and how do I fix this?
I know I can go get the tar or zip and do this manually but I paid for the feature to do it automatically. I don't see any official support channels for Clockworkmod.
how do i update nightlies with twrp i can't seem to do it using the cm updater, when i boot to recovery and attempt to install it, it just tells me the installation failed
Verizon VS980, TWRP 2.6.3.3
Finally, upgraded to the above TWRP, and was able to flash a CM 11 nightly. and Gapps for 4.3.0, 20130813 and to have that finally flash successfully is great! BUT it's not, when I boot into it I get an android system error and the keyboard AOSP error every time, I can't make it past the screen where I enter in my account.
I have wiped and tried again, and again, I have installed the ROM and gapps and then wiped dalvik and cache and same result...
It seems so close.
I have installed ROM Manager as well and it says that CWM is installed yet I cannot seem to boot into it, I have flashed it from the ROM Manager many times and no love. I was able to flash a zip of twrp, is there a zip of CWM that is flashable from twrp, I have heard that cwm works better with CM 11
Please help, I have no idea why going to CM 11 should be such a pain in the..
Thanks!!!
SO i figured it out
I was following/using rootz wiki for my reference of which gapps to use and it is not updated right now
