Hello.I don't know if there is already any similar topic about this , although search didn't help me.So , is there a way , mod or anything so that the touch button's backlight will remain always on ,like on htc desire for example. It 's frustrating when they turn off.I often confuse the "back" button with the "menu" button.
Nothing ?
Are you sure you have the genuine I9000, not the Captivate or such one?

The i9000 is like this too. The touch key backlight only stays on for a few seconds after being pressed. Would be nice if it could be tied to the screen being on/off.
download "keep the light on" in the Market
but you should read the description for how it works.
HTH =)

cheers for that . that little prob been bugging me too
or you can just press the home button to turn the screen back on instead of the power button
My previous phone, hp ipaq 614c, was made so that when I turned screen off, I didn't have to lock the screen, because after turning it off, it was no responsive.
Is it possible to make hd2 work in that way?
Turn screen off and until you dont press power button again, screen is not active?
Thanks for answers

There's a registry setting that determines whether the screen should lock or not when you turn off the display from the power button.
If you get BsB Tweaks (from this link here ) then you can switch it on and off through that much easier.
As far as only using the power button, that's a different kettle of fish, and I think it was resolved, but you'll have to do some searching for that. You'll probably get a LOT of search results, so do persevere. It's there somewhere. Alternatively, someone who knows of the thread may happen across this one and point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps mate

It's quite a common issue people have. A lot need to send the phone back to HTC to get it fixed.
isn't there any other option to fix this? becouse it looks like a software problem

What ROM are you using then?
i have official 2.1 update
Then it probably isn't software. Contact HTC and explain the problem - you should still have your warranty in tact as you haven't rooted.

I think HTC have forget to do it possible to turn off the vibrator on the Home, Menu. Back and Search buttons at the bottom, when the make the HTC Wildfire.
So are there somebody who know if it possible to disable the vibrator in some kind of way, for this buttons?
2)
When the battery is under 15%, the battery indicator flashes continuously.
Is it possible to turn that off?

Oooh, very nice! Thank you man, this is what I've dreamed about since I got my Wildfire, to disable that!
Do you also know if it possible to disable vibrator, in the 'Phone' when I enter a number?

1) I don't think you can disable the vibrator in the 'phone', only the audible tone.
2) Yea we must wait till a ''Hard Root'' (which will be soon)
I got both settings at menu - screen and sound
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Can't disable Haptic feedback
It is not highlighted and can't be ticked, are there any other ways?

Nice point. @rafael1369 As RocketSauce mentioned it; its the option of Voice Assistant. ''Dark screen'' is the option's topic and Explanation is: Keep the screen turned off at all times for privacy. Double press the power key to enable or disable this function. Hopefuly you can find it and switch it off and get back the shiny screen is on Btw; It doesnt work on mine lol(custom rom).

It doesnt need to go recovery bro. Just touch the screen and it will guide you to the Topic which I and Rocketsauce mentioned in post #4 and earlier. Swipe your finger on the display and find the settings, to enter » doble tap. Go on with swiping and follow the directions in post #4. All you need is touching and listening and double tapping into the correct topic.
Btw try double pressing to power button, long or short, try different combinations. Good luck.
Edit: Allright guys @alanloax @rafael1369 Here is a video of the explanation recorded by myself, I cant be more clear than that. You all need to do it in the darkness, first disable dark screen or voice assistant its your choice.
