Does anyone know a dialer that actually changes with screen density?
It needs to be like the original dialer.

I am/was a Galaxy S user. Loved TW Launcher and the several controls being integrated in to thee notification drop down. How can I get the latter on my new Nexus S?
I recently downloaded a big zip with a bunch of SGS apks longer the tW launcher.. Might the drop down controls be in there?

Go to the theme section and there is a mod to add them. Must be on GRJ22 and deodexed.

Or, go back to SGS. Its a much better phone than Nexus S. Soon you would miss other things about it as well.
I took the same journey assuming Nexus S to be better and feel for AOSP experience, but was glad to be back on SGS. New JVP ROM (2.3.4) has totally transformed the experience on SGS.
99% of people that have owned both phones would probably disagree with you. Yea, galaxy s has nice features. Doesn't touch the nexus s though. Sorry

AGREED 100% this is coming from a guy who started off with motorola milestone>SGS>HTC desire Z> now the SNS. and i can say without a doubt the SNS is the best, even without a qwerty keyboard. I love the roms out there and pure google experience just gotta get used to touch screen but the gingerbread keyboard made that one a piece of cake!
I should have mentioned I9000. Not the one you get in US with keyboard. In what respects do you reckon NS is better?

Every. I prefer stock android over TW or Sense or Blur. We have i9000 equivalents here in the states as well. The vibrant is nearly the same device. We actually have 5 or 6, maybe a few more variants of GS phones here.

Keyboard is epic 4g. I used a vibrant and definitely prefer ns. I personally needed cm7 and jumped ships. Didn't like team whiskeys work. People gave them more credit for no reason.

just isntall cyan 7 ROM. it has the control shortcuts in the notification bar, and you can customize them too. it also has individual swipe notifications away to clear them, one by one.

Other ROMs have it too. But a portion of them are built off CM7.

Good news, I suppose, after Samsung stated that they would NOT release ICS roms for the Galaxy S (I9000) or Galaxy Tab (P1000), so all we can look forward too is the Value Pack upgrade.
I have installed the Value Pack Rom on my Samsung Galaxy S (I9000), and it's pretty cool & quick.
what about other countries?

Just for curiosity...
Installing the apks separatly one by one doesn't work so...how can I install the pack!
Thanks!
To be honest the only reason I'm on stock is for sky go and the video player. Cm9 ics is much better.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium App
really?
Well...don't have a usable camera in CM9, many bugs, forced closes, restarts and battery usage(it screwed up my battery and had to change it after some CM9 and AOKP flashes). So that's why I prefer the stock rom...
Also, a good version is CM7 Boca...it really moves incredible!!!
Cheers!

Battery friendly theme? You mean inverted theme? Check out the themes and apps section, i used a couple when I was on odexed stock and they worked fine...Preferably try themes by @ HS™, as I have only tried his themes...on stock.

Always liked monochrome themes, and HS makes great ones.
