[Q] Got new Galaxy Tab International - Galaxy Tab General

Hi All,
I'm not new to the forum or on using the tools to flash the Galaxy, but can't seem to find any info on activating a new TT&T sim card on the GT-P1000, it does not have the ATT Manager widget, and I have tried going to the ATT&T retailer that was no help..
Does any here have Experience with this? I currently have it working with T-mobile edge data.
Model: GT-P1000
Base1000BUJM2
Build: Froyo.BUJM7

I guess your question is "I have a non-AT&T tablet and how I could use AT&T SIM card"?
Well, all I know is there is a gentleman who has a Euro tablet. He puts in the existing AT&T SIM card with voice & data and it works. No flashing was needed.

What is your PAD/MODEM/CSC setting? open the dialer pad and type *#1234#
Post your versions in your reply

galaxy tab gsm problem

I have a galaxy tab t-mobile bought from USA. Whenever I install my simcard it does not register to network. I tried with other phones and there is nothing wrong with GSM network.
I installed p1000XWJMI rom but still the same problem.
Please help
Had a similar experience with my SGT. SIM card was corrupted. New SIM from retail store fixed the issue.

If it is an older SIM card some weird problems can occur... just go to the shop and get a new one.
Maybe you can test it in a Galaxy S (similar hardware)... if the problem persists there, it is highly likely the SIM causing the trouble
I had the same problem on the Milestone... after replacing the SIM it worked fine again.
Try this . If you have data block on yoour sim card like i do . You need to go into wireless and network to mobile network to network mode then pick GSM only . then reboot . It work for me on at&t
I changed the sim cards and choos gsm only option from settings
no change so far...
I assume the Tab is not SIM locked?
Regards,
Dave
I dialled *#7465625# and all locks seem off.

I downloaded Rotohammer jme 4 roms. When I check for the networks I can see the network but just does not regıster
For many posts members have pointed to the sim card not being compatible with your tab. What are you doing?

Is it the Exynos Octa-core model? - If it is you can search around for compatable firmware.
If it happens to be the N9005 snapdragon model you can do the same -
Just flash Stock firmware you require on to the device.
I can't find the firmware anywhere to see what device it has come from.
model number
my phones model number is SM-N9000
hope that helps you to help me.
Ok so head over to the developer section for the Exynos version, and have a browse around what radios and firmware there is available for your device. -- Are WIND an Mvno for a different company? - if so check in that carriers sub forum/information thread.

Hi, tried searching and found two diff rom' to download into my phone.
So I downloaded one to my phone sd, but now its saying that it is not able to open format.
I believe I need to install or somehow get a flash to install it, but don't know how I would do that.
can someone help.
You need to read a little bit more, before you can install a new ROM or flash anything you need a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP -- Now to make you aware if you do this you will trigger your KNOX warranty and void it.. so think very carefully before deciding. - make sure you read as much as possible and that you have the right tools, ROM etc to hand. Or you could find yourself in deep trouble.

[Q] Which version do I have?!?

Ok first I am not new to android or this great site here at xda. I have been using this site for many years I just never registered smh.
Ok I have a Galaxy Note 4 Model # SM-N910T which shows to be the T-Mobile version. But when I went to straight talks website to see which new sim card I needed to use since it takes the micro sim they have me using the At&t sim. I have found the root method for the t-mobile note 4 here and have read that the at&t note 4 does not have root yet because of the bootloader. So not wanting to inadvertently brick my note, with my phone itself being the t-mobile can i root it?
Thanks for the help.

Hey all
One of my friends bought for me a Samsung Galaxy J5 6 from Germany and I am out of Europe and as I checked there is a limitation for European sim cards only.
I have not access any European sim card so I can not make a test call.
I tried to find a way to unlock and I found unlockunit dot com now I have two questions:
1 - Is this web site real and can I trust it?
2- For 'Galaxy J5 6' should I select 'Galaxy J5 2016'?
3- It asked me about Network of origin. I do not know the origin network. I just know he bought it from Germany. Is anyway to figure out?
i unlocked my wife´s phone with a 5 minuts phone call with a sim from teh original location as per samsung orientaions (via live chat) i think the best option if for you to get your hands in a german sim somehow do you know anybody in DE that could buy a sim and send you one?

There is a whole thread about carrier switching in this very forum
the only thing you need is a supporting sim card to be inserted into the phone. the sim card has to be from a local carrier that supports the CSC features

I recenlty bought Galaxy S8 Duos from ebay and was in the same situation. My CSC was EGY while both sim cards from Czech Republic. Phone was functional but for example Samsung Members app showed me offers related to Egypt which was quite wierd.
I was browsing lot of forums how to change CSC code and almost all methods requires flashing new firmware or root the phone. What I did after couple of days - factory reset from the menu while both CZ sims were inserted. Phone than started using CSC ETL (Czech Republic unbranded) automatically. No need to do anything else.
Hope this help someone...

Do you have a windows PC with ODIN installed? You can grab a CSC file you desire and manually flash it onto your phone, but results may vary.
