Has anyone got this working on a WM5 device yet?
The url's that you go to come back with
"service is not available for your mobile device".. but there are lots of JAR's and JAD's floating around for different phone types..
EDITED:
As I'm not a Vodafone 3G customer - i'm after the SKY TV Guides and the ability t mark something as "to record" and have it automatically recorded at home.....

id be interested in this too
Can someone explain a bit mroe about this? Is it a service that sky are introducing for their customers, or an extra pay service? Cheers.
This is for current customer (for free):

Sky by Mobile - Is it possible on Windows Mobile?
By Gears. Published on 10 Jul 2006.
Some of you may be aware of a new service launched by Sky TV recently. If you're lucky enough to have one of their whizzy PVR's then you'll already be used to the live pause and recording to hard disk. However, recently they announced their Sky by Mobile service which allows you to get the latest news and videos from Sky plus you can now remotely set programmes to record onto your Sky+ box. Good eh?
Only one problem though. You need one of these handsets to run the software, and Windows Mobile isn't on there. I'd really like to use this service - I'm always forgetting to set my Sky+ box or I'm away from the house and I can't physically touch the remote. Last night I found this interesting digitalspy.co.uk thread and downloaded this JAR file and plonked it onto my Orange SPV C600. I opened it up in file explorer and ran it in the Java MIDlet Manager. It does actually work, I can load it up and enter my sky.com credentials, however it stops after that - I presume because it can't access the net. I can't seem to get around this and I've tried everything like opening a GPRS connection manually and tweaking with the security settings.
Has anyone else tried this successfully ? I'm trying the JAR file for the Nokia 6230 in this example but Sky hide the links so I've not found any other JAR files to test.
http://mobile.sky.com/SBM/series40/sky_S40_LR_SF_6230/SkyMobile_S40_LR_SF_6230.jar
It installs in the midlet manager, and runs, but does not connect or go any further.
Surur
ive tried the link in a few different browsers, pie, mnimo and the java based opera but no look, just says not compatible with your device, i guess we will have to wait untill the sky.com web based service is available and use the text service in the mean time
got excited when the letter came through the post, its been in the pipeline for about a year or so now
edit: looked at the website http://www.wecomm.com/ who i think are the company that provide the software for the service and they do have other products that work on WM phones, so maybe soon it will be on our wizards!
anyone know whether we are going to get this?
On a similar subject, does anyone have the software program that you need to view your sky channels via broadband? I've just registered for it, but they email the URL to the original email address that was given to them by the account holder, but my Dad never gave them one so I'm struggling to get the software!
Cheers.
I think everyone has given up on this but ive managed to get a collection of installers for various phones, using the user agent tags in firefox.
not managed to get any of them to work though! but thought they may be useful to other people.
edit: ignore this post i cant seem to upload the files!
but if anyone is interrested give me a shout, ive got about 13 different installer files, mainly nokia, motorola, SE an i think one might be for blackberry.
Hi Guys,
I've been lucky enough to get hold of a HTC 630 (or Cavalier i think its code named).
At present I want to utilise the Wifi as much as possible and have been hunting around for suitable Wifi programmes.
Wifi Fofum on aspecto looks a very good product. Can anyone give feedback on the software and its reliability? i.e. Can I expect regular crashes or loss of data etc etc.
Any feedback / suggestions will be greatly received as info on this device is pretty non-existant.
Many thanks.
Wififofum is good I use it quite often though on an HTC TyTn. Problem is that although it shows you either a list of networks around you or a nice radar screen - it is a bit limited beyond that. It's free and runs smoothly though. Another free one is Hitchhiker and this provides you with a chance to connect to networks/hotspots etc. Also takes some of the hassle out of setting up the connection. It's also free. It does need the .net framwork 2 installed but their site has a link to install that as well:
http://www.kasuei.com/hitchhiker/
And for a variety of the more serious network tools I recommend the Cambridge Computer Corporation - e.g. Vxipconfig
see here:

Trouble downloading
Hi Mike,
You helped with a query on wifi and pointed me in the direction of hitchhiker whick looks excellent. However I can't get it to download. The installer goes on my PC fine but I can't do anything with the CAB files.
Am I right just going straight for ver 0.4 and none of the prev versions? I don't know if I'm doing it right by downloading the installer first.
My active sync tells me that the installer is primed to be transferred on next connection, and it does. Buts thats about as far as I get. The icon appears on the 630 but no data must be in there.
SOS!
Cheers

Does Hitchhiker get listed in your programmes? And if sowhat happens when you open it?
With cab files you transfer them unopened/unextracted to your device and open them on the device.

Can't fathom out the problem. Some suggestions for what they are worth:
The Hitchiker site has different versions available - could try uninstalling and try another one.
The Hitchhiker site has a .netframework checker on a link near top of page - could install checker to ensure you have correct version.
Failing this you might need to contact Kasuei with the error message you get and see if they can help.

Hi guys n gals.
I bought my Trinity from Ebay "unlocked" and have spent the last few hours rebuilding it as I think it was unlocked using dodgy s/w.
My specific question is whether I not I have a "GPS enabled ROM" and how do I find out? I also have some specific TomTom questions (see later).
From Device Info:
ROM version: 1.23.61.5
Radio Version: 1.41.00.11
Protocol version: 32.74.7020.18H
I'm running "WM 5 OS 5.1.342 (Build 15096.3.0.0)" and also "TomTom 6.03" which I set to GPS internal. However I'm not getting a fix and it's been 30mins so I'm wondering if it's a ROM issue as described elsewhere on this site. Please advise.
Also the s/w itself is behaving oddly which makes me wonder if it's copied but then it did update OK using tomtom/home. The western europe maps are apparently on the miniSD card but I can't set my UK home address. It just keeps going to Amsterdam (I think), no matter what I do. Have I got a dodgy copy? All I really want to do is navigate in UK.
Finally do I need WM6 at all?
Cheers all.
are you trying to get a GPS lock in or outdoors, because i cant get a fix indoors but outdoors i get a fix in 2mins,
also have you got tomtom configured to use COM9 for GPS? this is essential
You can't configure the COM port using Built-IN GPS, but it should find it OK.
As Goodie says, you must have a clear view of the sky to get a fix- satellite signals are very weak, especially for a 1st fix when the reciever needs to download a lot of data.
Your ROM is up to dat- Radio 1.41 is recent; any Radio ROM ending in **.11 has GPS enabled.
Western Europe Maps should be able to use the Postcode search in UK, as long as the Postcode database is enabled/loaded. Look in the root of the SD card for a folder called ZIP, which should contain the postcode file.
If TT Home recognised the installation, it is likely to be OK. Did you receive the original documentaion with it? If so, there should be a card or sticker with the Product Code on it. If not, double clicking the Map entry in TomTom Home should bring up a properties window with the product code.
Once you have that, you can go to www.ttcode.com and check which device code the map is locked to. When in TomTom on the PDA, you should be able to see the Device Code in one of the 'About' screens- can't remember which one
hi and thanks for the quick reply.
1. sorry i was inside. went out and got a fix.
2. there is a ZIP folder on the SD card. inside it are two files. One is called Nederland (1.86M) and the second is "Nederlandpostal.ver". am i missing some uk files? is this why it keeps defaulting to amsterdam?
3. no docs with the purchase. will try your advice later and double click the Map entry in TomTom. or do i need to do it now to get it to work for uk use?
thanks
sounds to me like you havent got UK maps
hi,
no i have got the uk maps. its found my house and if i somehow fiddle around with it and manually select city it will find other uk locations. but somethings clearly odd. on another screen it tells me i have Map: 'GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE'. or you mean do i need to have something else in that ZIP folder?
here's exactly what i need to do.
say i want to navigate from my home in surrey to say my girlfriend's address in chelmsford, essex. if i hit navigate to/address/postcode, all the device will recognise is german addresses. i have to first go into /street and house number/ and then enter "chelmsford" FIRST. and then search for her street.
i want the device to default to uk postcode as i dont always know the city location, just the postcode. so it will be very difficult to use.
i doubt i'll need the europe maps for quite a while so guess theyre worth keeping.
have i made sense?
You need to go back into TomTom Home and download the UK Postcode file, which should be copied to the ZIP folder. At present you seem to only have the Netherlands postcodes. Without the UK Postcode file, you will only be able to select addresses by town/street.
Do you have 2 maps on your device- Western Europe, and UK plus Major Roads of Europe? If so, try and use the UK only version if you don't need to drive in mainland Europe, as route calculation and address searching is much faster with the smaller map.
Many thanks. I'll do that tonight. Do I therefore delete the 2 Netherlands files from the ZIP folder?
No, they can stay there for next time you visit there
NeilM (or anyone else!)
I'm back home now, have booted up the PC and launched TomTom Home.
I can see the Netherlands file on the Zip folder but I can't see how to download the UK Postcode file.
Sorry for being thick but how/where do I grab it?
Thanks
Hi powerbook,
Not sure about others, but I downloaded my local maps from a friend....you can download it from TomTom if you don't mind paying...
Also, I'm assuming you have some sort of GPS icon and you can get a GPS fix where you are?

If you can see the UK map in the middle pane of TomTom Home, is there a way to re-download it? Also have you tried the 'Updates' link in the left hand pane? Unfortunately I'm working from memory, as I don't currently have TomTom Home installed.
If you can get hold of the original product code, you may be able to request a download link from TomTom.
@Blackbeauty: the question is about using Postcodes, rather than GPS fixes, but thanks for the input. Copying maps from friends is against the T&C of TomTom, and will usually not work anyway, unless the copied maps are also illegal versions, as the map activation is tied to a particular device.
Your home and/or default maps are set to Germany not UK
Load tomtom. Click on the screen
Change Preferences
Second page has
Manage Maps
Select the UK map and that should solve 1/2 the problem if not all of it.
reload tomtom
If the problem is still there
Click on the screen
Change Preferences
Second page has
Change Home location
Put in the correct location
This should fix it looking for the german postcodes rather than UK.
If not have a look here:
http://www.totalpda.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3338&page=2&pp=10
(I just did a google search and that was the first link, seems to have various other solutions)
cheers guys. got it working now. thanks.
Good work- did you do it through TT Home in the end?
Hi NeilM,
Not in the end no. Instead I managed to get a copy of the two UK postcode files and drop them into the ZIP folder using ActiveSync.
Cheers for all your help. Great forum this.
Hi,
This is my first post and hopefully it may be helpful.
I have created a nice solution in order to run both UpToDate and Internet Explorer 6.
This solution was originally posted in this thread, but as long as this may not be visible, I have started a new thread
What you will NOT need
1) You will not need Fix UpToDate by doctorcete.cab
2) You will not need to cook your own rom
What you will need
1) Fix IE.cab
2) The files, which are attached at the end of this post.
Instructions
There are 2 different versions.
Version 1 - Best - If you use MortScript
1) Use the two .mscr files.
2) Each of those files contains a registry modification and after that it executes Uptodate or IE respectively.
Be careful: If you installed UpToDate in a different location than the default you should manually open and edit the file UpToDate.mscr and replace "\Program Files\UpToDate" with your installation pathway. (You can use Notepad to open the file)
3) You can use these files to launch the applications instead of the default shortcuts.
2nd version - If you do not use Mortscript
1) Use the 2 reg files
2) Before opening each application, run the corresponding .reg script
3) Files are universal independent on your installation location. Therefore no change is required.
I hope you enjoy.
Step2p
I can only launch it trhough mortscript then, not the default shorcuts right? or am I missing something?
@doctorcete
You should build new shortcuts pointing to mscr files.
If you want to have also the correct image on those shortcuts, you can download the file attached.
UpToDate shortcut will only work if it is installed in the default location (/Program Files/UpToDate)
If you have another installation location, you should manually edit the shortcut and fix it accordingly.
EDIT: If you want to use these shortcuts place the mscr files in folder "/Program Files"
Step2p
I don't want to hijack this thread, but has anyone been able to find a hack to increase font size within UpToDate?
good work step2p, it works alright with the shortcuts, congrats!, im very happy uptodate is finally getting some attention (after 6 or 7 months since the problem was discovered). Thank you!....
Fix UpToDate by doctorcete.cab
Dear All,
I still prefer to use Fix UpToDate by doctorcete.cab. I don't like IE6 any way. The simple solution is to run Fix UpToDate.cab. You can set Opera as you non-default browser, and Opera still works fine.
so what does this do? use PIE as the manilla internet browser???
what i imagined it would do is make PIE better with zoom, so might be able to zoom a bit better and it might be a bit faster? can anyone explain to me please?
Thanks
UpToDate is an Electronic Medical Database for Medical Drs
If your are not a Medical Dr. You don't need to read this thread
good job... it works nice.
Good evening to all,
I know this is not the appropriate thread to post this but i do hope to get some help
I have installed a trial 17.2 on my pc.does anyone knows which file is held responsible for expiring the trial version in the registry?
cheers
V
how can i check the version of IE?
Don´t mind the version of IE. If UpToDate works out of the box (without any hacks) then you do not need this. If it doesnt work. Follow the steps as described above on the first post, Then it will work.
great work guys. any way to have finger scrolling work?
Hey,
Just wanted to say that UpToDate works perfectly without needing any fixes if you access it through a proxy connected to your medical school, assuming that's an available option. It doesn't work using opera but does with IE, including zooming, etc.
well that's if you use an internet connection be it a data connection or wifi. this discussion is about uptodate completely on the phone (flash card) requiring no internet. thanks though

Oh, I assumed it still connected to the internet to access some kind of database. So this program alone contains ALL of the information that's available online!?? That's pretty amazing if it does, especially if it updates with new articles. I'll have to look into this now...
Yeah, it's huge >2GB. If you subscribe, there should be an option for them to deliver a DVD to you for you to use with your Palm/Windows Mobile device. UpToDate updates periodically, currently it's version 17.2. Articles are not updated on a rolling basis, but rather in increments corresponding to new versions. The flash card version actually does not update automatically. So whatever version you initially received, it'll remain that version with the same articles. The only way to update articles is to get the new version. Fortunately, the updates do not occur that often and medicine doesn't change drastically between versions.

thank you doctorcete ur fixes worked on omnia
and after applying the fixes I've downlaod this file
XDA WM 6.1 P.I.E for WM6.cab
now uptodate17.1 works and I.E 6.1 works
Ok, I haven't gotten this to work. I'm not quite sure what to do with the files. I'm using a Sprint Touch Pro. I placed both files in Programs/Mortscript. I can get everything up, but when i go into the drugs and press headings, it freezes. Any advices?
Edit the HTC sense weather location database.
For editing sense 1.0 weather databases, use the method immediately below. Information for editing sense 2.X and above is shown in the section marked “New directions for editing the weather database in sense 2.X” below .
After much searching with no results I finally came up with a way to add locations to the HTC Sense weather database. If this has been posted before sorry for the redundant post but I could not find this anywhere and thought it might help some people. The file to edit is located in the phone at /data/data/com.htc.provider.weather/files/WP_0409WWE.db. To get the file you need to be rooted and have Root Explorer from the market or QtADB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=972758) which make moving the file from the phone to the PC and back very easy.
1. With Root Explorer, copy the WP_0409WWE.db file to the Sdcard and then copy it to your computer for editing. I use QtADB to move files. Just plug the phone in and leave it on charge only. QtADB will bring up a phone and PC directory side by side and you can migrate to the file and drag it to a directory on the computer.
2. To edit the database, you can use a free SQLite Database Browser found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/. Open the WP_0409WWE.db file in the editor and then click on the Browse Data tab. In the Table drop down list, choose locationlist. At the bottom of the page, click the forward arrow until you reach the end of the file, then scroll to the bottom of the list. Now add your own city using the format as shown in the table. To do that, click ‘new record’ at the upper right and a new line will appear at the bottom of the list. To edit the database cells with SQLite editor, double click on a cell and an editing window will pop up. Click in the window, input your info, and click ‘apply changes’ at the bottom of the window.
3. Since the file uses Accuweather, you’ll want to make sure that Accuweather has data for your city. Just go to the Accuweather.com website and put your city in the search. If Accuweather doesn’t find your city, then find the city that is closest to your location.
4. Once you are satisfied with your edits, save the file and replace the file in your phone with your new file. This is where QtADB makes copying files easy. Just drag and drop from one window to another and you’re done. Reboot your phone and enjoy your new locations.
New directions for editing the weather database in sense 2.x roms.
Have been using the new sense 2.x roms and have found that the SQLite Browser in the above directions will not edit the new weather database. The easiest way I have found for the new database format is with the SQLite editor by Speed Software form the market as suggested by Polar67 in post number 11. This is a purchase app so it requires a little cash outlay. Here are Polar67's directions with a slight modification of using SQLite editor rather than Root Explorer to locate the database. Please thank Ploar67 for this method.
1: Navigate to /data/data/com.htc.provider.weather/files
2: Backup original databases to secure location.
3: Open SQLite editor and it will display a list of databases with Weather Provider (com.htc.provider.weather) at the bottom.
4: Tap on Weather Provider and open the WP_0409WWE.db file.
5: Find location near what i want to add & clone.
6: Edit clone to fit my new location.
7: Save -> Reboot -> Done.
Another method starts the same as the sense 1.0 version, but uses the free SQLite editor, SQLite Expert Personal http://www.sqliteexpert.com/SQLiteExpertPersSetup.exe.
1. With SQLite Expert open the WP_0409WWE.db. The database will be listed in the left pane. Open locationlist and find a location close to what you need. Double click anywhere in the row and it will bring up the record for editing.
2. Copy the location code, then close the window. Click on the plus icon in the row above the data list to add a new record. Paste the weather location you copied into the code field. At this point, you can either go back and forth copying and pasting or just fill in the fields manually. When pasting the location code IE: NAM|US|WA|EAST OLYMPIA, you can just edit the state and city to the location you want as in NAM|US|WA|OAK HARBOR to NAM|US|FL|KEY WEST.
3. If you want to check that your location will bring back weather, try your location in Accuweather.com first.
4. When you are done close the database and copy it to your phone. Reboot and fill your widget with your custom locations.
As a side note the citied listed on the weather widget are located in the /data/data/com.htc.provider.weather/databases/weather.db. When you have them the way you want copy that and WP_0409WWE.db to a safe location on your SD Card. When you load a new ROM, copy them to their respective locations, and your weather is set.
For the cooks in the audience, the database is located in the system/etc/WPDB.zip file. It is a multi language file and you can safely remove the languages you don't need.
The database location for ICS and Jellybean has changed to system/app/WeatherProvider.apk.
If this has helped you clicking the thanks button is appreciated.
Thanks dude, I will try this out. The city where I live in (small burb of H-town) is not in HTC db and this may come handy!
Glad you find this useful. Hopefully I got all the directions down if not just ask. When I get enough posts I'll try to add the download links.
I think it will be interesting to start a project about creating a huge list of cities of the world. Otherwise, it is possible to create several list for each country or continent because of the huge number of cities available in the world
Re: Weather location database
Hi!
Thanks a bundle. Tried your suggested approach.
Don´t know if this is an issue with all devices running anything else than english.
For the sake of detail i probably should mention that my device is a Desire HD.
However both are Android devices & since the guide originated here i´ll put this post here instead of starting a similar thread on the same topic elsewhere.
Anyway: As you can see on the attached screen dump I found 2 databases. BlablaWWE.db & a language specific version. I tried editing the WWE-base only but that resulted in a force closure of the weather App.
I had to edit both databases to match in order to acheive the desired result.

Hi Polar
Thanks for the find about editing the other language file. My rom is english only so I didn't see the othe laguage files. I would like to add you findings to the first post if you don't mind.
Did you use the programs for moving and editing the files from the first post or did you use something else that would make the proccess easier? It would be nice to have this as staight forword as possible.

A datadase of all locations would be handy but rather large. If it were broken down into each counrty or even states it might be easier to handle. If anyone would like to take this on that would be great.
Hotrod
If you're not seeing your city's code but rather something like this accuweather.com/.../quick-look.aspx in the browser bar you can use accuweather.com/rss-center.asp instead.
Sorry for the broken link but I'm not permitted to post links as a newbie and I had to find a way around. ;-)

Hotrod you are more than welcome to make any changes to the guide as you see fit.
Regarding the modus operandi i ended up using:
1: Navigate to /data/data/com.htc.provider.weather/files
2: Backup original databases to secure location.
3: Open any and all databases subsequently directly from Root Explorer into SQlite editor
4: Find location near what i want to add & clone.
5: Edit clone to fit my new location.
6: Save -> Reboot -> Done.
Afterwards sqlite_sequence will now read one entry higher than before.
In the case of a foreign languaged rom i´ll hazard a guess that it´s probably necessary to keep the same entry ID´s across both bases i.e. for example Nanortalik being ID# 3631 in both bases. I can´t be sure but if HTC weather App uses ID numbers for anything at all we´ll most likely get a botched result if ID´s vary across bases.
The attached screen dump shows my result.
I pretty much only did things this way because i had the "ingredients" ready at hand, that is Root Explorer & SQlite editor from the market. I dont´t think it´s any easier, but it can be done "on the fly" without a computer.

6: Save -> Reboot -> Done.

Polar67,
Just tired your method for editing the database and found it is very easy and no computer needed. Found I could use SQlite editor from the market and let it find databases then scroll down to Weather Provider listing, select that, open the WP_0409WWE.db file, select location list and edit as usual. As you say, if you have a different language file edit it also. Save, reboot and select your new locations in the weather panel.
Thanks for the suggestion, didn't think of that method.

Where are the information ?? HTC HD2 - Imilka Ram Desire HD Rooted
Dear Hotrod68,
This thread is really a savior, but something is causing me some confusion,
My HTC Weather Widget shows only Egypt !!! and never shows Cairo?!!
I have an HTC HD2 with the following ROM installed,
imilka's RAM Desire HD v1.0 (Rooted)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954369
I have followed the all steps, you mentioned on first post, except for the copying files program, I'm planning to use the conventional method.
Copied the WP_0409WWE.db file to my computer,
Opened it by SQLite
To my surprise, my country and even my city were listed on the db ??!!
That's Cairo, Egypt. please refer to image below.
How to proceed? What to do?
One more strange and weired thing,
On the image below you'll notice that my location is shown precisely, to district level, on News & Weather Widget (By The Weather Channel) ???!!!
this is Heliopolis.
On AccuWeather web page I couldn't find the information to fill in the cells?
Help, advice will be very appreciated.

Hi Ahmed,
SOrry you're having trouble. Could you upload your WP_0409WWE.db file. It looks different than mine and I'd like to see why. It looks like you are using English on your phone. If not Polar67 found there should be a language specific file in the same location as the WP_0409WWE.db file that needs to be modified If it is there could you upload that file also.
Accuweather has a listing for your location, AFR|EG|EG011|Heliopolis, if you want to try putting that into your database. To show your location name put Heliopolis in the cell to the left of Egypt in the database.
Hope this helps, Jon

Hi there Hotrod,
Find attached the WP_0409WWE.db file on my phone,
And no, there is no other local version on the same directory.
I really appreciate your response, and will be looking forward to having your feedback regarding the db file attached.
Thanx a million dear friend.
Note: To open the file, rename it to (.db) extension.
I had to change the extension to comply with xda file types
I use a Sprint Evo in Dallas, Texas and have had Cairo, Egypt in my weather list for several months, and it works. (I had wanted to take a tour to see the pyramids, but I won't do it now!)
My database is also English (WP_0409WWE.db), and my Cairo entry looks exactly like yours, it is even entry #78 like yours. Maybe you should just restore the original database to see if it works.
Does "My Location" t work in Egypt to see where the phone thinks it is?
Ahmed,
I've added Heliopolis to the database. See if this works for you.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for your reply,
You're surely welcome to Egypt and we'll be happy to have you
I have downloaded AccuWeather.com application from the Market.
Check image below, and you'll find that the application has determined my location upto district accuracy (That's Madinat an Nasr (Nasr City), Home now)
On my previous post, the Weather Channel Widget has, also, been able to determine my location upto district accuracy (That was Heliopolis, Work)
Weired that the HTC Weather-Clock widget doesn't show but EGYPT.
I can add Cairo, as a city,
But the widget still gives Egypt whenever I choose "Current Location"
I have added both "Heliopolis" and "Madinat an Nasr" to the database,
Now I can choose them like cities, but they never show up if I choose "Current Location"
So,the phone knows where it is !!! But the HTC Weather Widget knows only the country !!!!!!!!!
Pictures attached shows weather widgets (AccuWeather + TheWeatherChannel)
These two, show correct location and temperature !!!!!!!!!
I'd die to have HTC weather widget showing my precise location.
EDIT:
Thank you HotRod, never worked
That sounds like more of a GPS problem. I'm pretty sure that's how the phone knows where it is.
Do any other location apps work, like Google maps, other weather or navigation programs work?
