Is there any way to change the ip address of my phone connecting to a wifi network?
Thanks

Wireless settings- wifi settings. Hit menu button then advanced and select static and set your address.

Does anyone know of an app or a way to toggle between different IP Manager profiles?
I am trying to address a problem with my Desire that I've had since the Froyo update which means I have to use a static IP address in one location & dynamic everywhere else.
Thanks in advance.

Thx but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I can't see how to switch back to dynamic IP or how to set conditions. IP Manager already lets me set different IP addresses.

Any suggestions?
I'd settle for something that can automatically switch between a static and a dynamic IP address.

did you try the app?
When no profile has been saved for one spot, it get its IP by DHCP
Profiles are only set for static parameters...

Hi quesseb - sorry but I'm not sure what you mean. What app are you referring to?
Thx.

I used wifi static as mentioned.
It detects a known network and switches to the relevant static IP. And of course there is no profile for it to remember when you use DHCP
No problem folks. I switched to Locale with the IP address plug. That did the trick. I can now switch between IP addresses based on location or WiFi connection. Handy simple & it just works.

As per title: is it possible to change them?
Thx.
There is an "Advanced" section under the wifi status bar which allows you to set a static ip, thus change the dns settings.

Hi!
I have some of the sites restricted with default dns setting on mobile network. I set Google dns on my adsl modem at home so I don't have any problem when I am using wifi at home. I would like to change my mobile network too.
I was changing easily on my HTC Himalaya on windows mobile 6 years ago:-(

You can change it in advanced settings in wifi config. This is a global setting though so effects all networks.
If you want network specific dns, dl "wifi static" from the market.
Edit: ok ignore me. On 3g networks I'm not sure

I have successfully flashed my Evo 4G to Verizon, Voice and Text works but I need the Data Profile settings and the Advanced Settings from the EPST from an HTC Verizon Phone
EPST (##3282#)
I need
DSA Server URL
DSS Proxy Server IP Address
DSS Proxy Server Port
RTSP/HTTP settings
With these I should have DATA fully operational and completed my experiment. If anyone helps me out I will share on how I flashed to another carrier without any programs.
Thanks!!

Better off posting this in HTC incredible forums prob

Working on porting a rom. How can I see the individual settings for manually adding the APN. I can't pull up any sub menu to show all the APN settings just the APN name. Or does anyone know what the settings are so I can manually enter them into a ported T-Mobile rom.
