Install LauncherPro, it has the option in there to have the Vanilla Android lockscreen, or the rotary one from the HTC Hero. The vanilla one has the option for 4 spiders instead of two.
Swyped from my HTC Desire running AuraxTSense 8.2 with Tapatalk.

I have launcher pro but don't remember seeing that option, ill have a dig

nope cant do it , i think you may be getting widgetlocker and launcherpro mixed up.

Just use CyanogenMod 7, it has this feature built in.

yeah either "WidgetLocker" (slows down the locking and unlocking)
or go CyanogenMod
CM 6.1.1 (Stable Froyo)
CM 7 (Nightlies Gingerbread)

[Q] Lockscreen-Image on Froyo

Hi Guys,
my Girlfriend updated her Legend to 2.2 today but now is a little sad, because she is no longer able to change the Background-Image of the Lockscreen (the one you have to drag down...). On 2.1 she could use one Image for normal Wallpaper when in use and another for the "lockscreen", now on 2.2 if she changes the Wallpaper, the lockscreen-image is the same...
Is there any way to only change ONE of them as it was on 2.1??? Maybe any app or something??
Thanks for Help,
BigD
They changed that?!?!
Sadface...
What I'm more interested in is if we get the Desire's lock screen.
So far, it SEEMS we're stuckwith the collapsing effect of the original Sense.

I was also wondering what happened to this feature

Maybe you should have a look at Lockbot or Lockbot Pro. Also try widgetlocker. I havent tried any myself but they are best known for lockscreen customization. Good luck.
Also, do you now get the Desire style fading pulldown of the clock pull bar on the lockscren? Does it fade? Or does it just slide and collapse like Legend 2.1.

[Q] Gingerbread lock animation

Is there any way to get the gingerbread screen off animation onto the mytouch 4G without having to use a gingerbread ROM?
My reason is because i do not want to go to CM 7 because i like the fact that sense has the lockscreen image, so i use iced-glacier (with ADW EX) and keep my lockscreen. But im really liking that screen-off animation from gingerbread, so is there any way of getting it without having to get a gingerbread ROM?
thanks for any help =)
Bump?

HTC Sense launcher

What's the HTC sense launcher which has a curved circular launcher? I see it in many screen shots posted here.
My Sense launcher is plain straight dock at the bottom.
Clueless on this one.

the HTC Gacier came with the expresso sense launcher. that i believe is just the regular one or another version of it out by htc. i had the cdma hero and that had the regular curved one.
That's for stock HTC Sense ROMs, the myTouch 4G has custom version of Sense 2.0 called mySense. Stock HTC Sense also includes the flat dock bar as well, but mySense favors the flat one and the flat one only.
Thanks guys. Are there any stock HTC sense ROMs to try out the other launcher?

Desire HD ROMs.
If you like the look of stock sense and want to use aosp Rome or even stock... try helauncher from the market. Its what I use from time to time.

But there was a curved one made (if I understand the original poster), it is in the market. Its called gingerbread launcher (try them all..it was first put out in december), and you need ADW launcher installed first. I love the effect of this too, but it is rather limited: if you want to configure the dockbar, you can only choose 2 apps (plus the app drawer)--or at least I couldn't figure out how to get any more.

Helauncher is curved. It looks exactly like stock sense.

Thanks All.
I tried HeLauncher, and it looks good.
Thanks again.

[Q] Gingerbread old tv screen lock?

On the official gingerbread, is it possible to get that old tv screen lock? Like this..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRaIX-ohXJk
Yes.not sure how to manually install it, but it came with the rom I'm using.

That's just the Gingerbread screen off /on animation, it's on many phones/ROMs that are on gingerbread...I'm not sure if mySense has it, but I know it's on MIUI/CM7, maybe Sense 3.0 too. There are no manual mods to add it AFAIK, excluding the one for unity in evild's thread.

AOSP or SENSE??

Hi all,
I am stucked by choices.. I love the AOSP ICS rosie UI and features.. but I can't live w/o sense apps and especially HTC Sync. Is there anyway we can have ICS rosie with HTC apps like premium navigation, messages, blah blah and importantly HTC sync ???

All the ics sense Rom are still abit far from fully working..
Was it possible to change Rosie to ics Rosie?

AOSP! Speed and efficiency!
It's speed and efficiency, over looks.
I've tried them all, but i always go back to Sense 3.5. (Waiting for stable for daily use 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6)
Well.. I was just wondering if we can have all.. aosp sounds fun but HTC have many widgets and HTC sync to provide the convenience that I need.
Will uninstalling HTC sense do the trick or cause the Rom to Fc?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
It's all driven by personal choice.
I installed an AOSP ICS rom and I loved it, but ultimately, for me the experience was lacking without Sense. So I dropped back down to GB with Sense 3.5.
I'm waiting for a stable ICS release with Sense, will upgrade then
Well, that's why I'm asking if there is any way to combine both..
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I am also a huge fan of Sense. But i'm on IceColdSandwich and really love it for daily use. When there will be a working sense ICS ROM i will switch, but for now i'm going with the AOSP one. You can customize it so that it at least looks like a sense rom
do what I do...keep back up of another rom so if you get twitchy you can flip back etc..actually I have three at the moment .runny 4.0...this is my daily I use this more because of sense...ics just because its smooth and...sweet. and now got absolution.I'm not a gamer so save data etc doesn't matter to me..SMS can be retrieved if needed.contacts are on both so..my 10p worth

Anyone else find battery life is poorer on sense roms, or is that just me? I'm currently using IceColdSandwich, really nice rom.
Well, an AOSP uses tons less space and ram, so i would imagine the battery life would be immense on that.
I flashed Virtuous Quattro and that used hardly any space in the system partition, where sense Roms use almost all of the space.
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.. what I'm trying to find out here is if there is any sense Rom that is possible to be customised to look like ics without losing the advantages of some sense apps and HTC sync. I'm not into switching roms as I prefer to have one to work as my daily driver.
I know of coz ics Rom can be customised to be as close to sense but without sense kernel, there will still be missing HTC sync and some sense apps.

I've been a sense guy too for a long time but I've recently been following lord's ice cold sandwich rom and I love it more than any sense rom out there.
The great thing would be a rom AOSP
with synchronization, camera and widgets (Sense)
Greetings!
Aosp. I always had sense. But I'm on LC s ics and its great. No more sense for me.

well yeah...launchers..adw have ics themes,launcherpro..golauncher ex has a sweet ics theme, all it does it change your dock etc and app draw, but lets you slide horizontal so thats good anyway...thats the only way your going to look like ics without losing sense, failing that, use the ics theme on a sense rom

Ok I will put it to you simple. The only way to have sense apps is to use Sense. Non of the widgets work without the launcher being used. All of the apps can be replaced with AOSP versions. Not sure about the navagation as I would never use a phone to tell me where i need to go. Sync seems to be a big deal for you and not sure why. There are far better option out there.
So simply if you want to use HTC apps then you will use Sense.
yeah but depends if he wants the widgets..the apps themselves can still work, your not wrong though, the asop is quicker, battery lasts longer.can customize more,..sadly although i have them on my back ups,im a sense rom junkie, gets on my nerves to be honest. im hoping, with sense 4..they up there game now, sense 3.6 is..just with a few added bits not really an overhaul and its debateable whether because its running ice cream in the background if it will actually make a difference
forgot to say, although you can replace all apps from sense with others in asop. The mail app still in my opinion is one of the leaders for that sort of app. If someone could port that out of a sense rom id be chuffed lol
