This video contains content from Armada Music, who has blocked it in your country on grounds of good taste.
Totally agree with that .
But i read a report 2 weeks ago, "Worst Phones of 2010 " and streak was top of that, must say tho the person who wrote it is a right D--K

Loving my streak
I am loving my streak right now,
Would be interested in streak 7 if phone was available for att.
You could use hidemyass.com and paste the link there, but it´s not worth it. It´s just a few commercials pieced together in the order the creator of the video thinks the handsets rank. No commentary, no reasons, just techno music... I don´t think anyone could really watch the entire 12 minutes.
Btw, as much as I like my streak, there is no better phone than the HD2, it was good with Windows and now that you can run anything but iOS (who would want that anyway?) I would rank it as the best hardware you can get. Unfortunatly the screen is too small

I have searched the entire forum and others and have come up with a few suggestions but none actually work.
Skyfire 2.0 has the loading video window stuck on the screen in front of a perfectly playing live stream of the game behind it, very frustrating.
Ustream loads a frozen image of the game and does not stream on my device.
ESPN3 does not work with Skyfire browser.
Is there any "working" solution to streaming games live on the X10 here in the States?
Actually i watch using ustream.
At least earlier it worked ...
I tired a lot of channels until one of them was fine.
When i saw still images instead of a stream i checked the standard ustream in the browser and i saw the same issue there too.

Thanks for the reply.
I saw 171 views with no reply and I thought it was hopeless.
I tried all the ustream channels with no luck but I have heard others also find success with it so maybe it is a network issue.
It is too bad skyfire development won't fix the loading window error because the video streaming behind it is quite good.
Too bad you are down in south... Rogers Canada user can pay $15 to get all the FIFA2010 on the X10 and iphone.

Agreed.
I would definitely pay the $15.
Does anyone know how that works? It's $5 for rogers on demand mobile and another $10 for the "world cup premium package". What does the world cup premium package do if you can already get content from CBC with the $5 package?
I am using the rogers on demand app. It works flawlessly, quality is great amd there is no buffer or skipping. It is 5 a month to use the app and a one time 10$ fee for access to the world cup matches. Worth every penny for the matches but will not use it after. Little to no content otherwise.

This works wonderfully with one exception as stated in my opening post.
The loading window freezes at 50% and the game is playing flawlessly behind it!
The skyfire devs know about it but haven't provided a fix.
My guess is they won't due to our outdated 1.6.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has got Sonys Crackle app working on the X10? Some say its 2.x only but if u download thru appbrain it doesnt show up as 2.x. I managed to dl it with appbrain but it tells me network error when i try to open it. Also, is this restricted to US only?
Cheers.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
So I just tried looking up info on it... appears US only, and this is from the FAQ:
Select Crackle content is currently available on Sprint TV, Verizon VCAST, AT&T Mobile TV, FLO TV and VuClip.
Crackle will soon be expanding into the iPhone and Android markets. You can find updates regarding this expansion on Crackle’s blog.
While Crackle is available through the PSP, there is a limited selection of content available. We are working to become more compatible with the PSP.
The strangest thing is Sony's official picture shows the X10, so it can't really be 2.x+ because the X10 isn't yet. But, the picture is a terrible photoshop job.

Mediahub blows. I tried it once and bought a Tosh.O episode and midway through the encoding on the video was jacked up. Picture went unviewable and the player stopped. I was forced to hunt and peck on the timeline to resume after the botched section of the video.

This simply confirms my theory that you can give every body gold bars and some people will still complain that they didn't get silver or platinum.
I have my code and it's a nice way to get folks to try out the features. Perfect for a plane ride, or better yet, a delay.
Thank you OP. I was a little pissed that I couldn't get my $50 when I heard about this promotion. I don't care if the content is crappy, it should pass by slow nights on IT call.
Good luck with mediahub, folks.
With bittorrent, any price above $0 for broadcast entertainment is overpriced, to me. I get all -- 100% -- of my TV via bittorrent downloads, and virtually always available before anything shows on commercial pay-for-media methods.
Now, with bittorrent clients available for android itself, you can eliminate the step of having to first download to your PC, then transfer to your phone. Just as convenient as MediaHub.
In fact, even more so. Set up an RSS feed from EZTV, PBay, or other torrent aggregators, and you're phone will grab your favorite show as soon as the torrent is available -- again, usually within a few hours of airing.
Finally, with tasker you can set things up to only download when there is a wifi connection, saving you from on-air data charges.
That's how I've got all this set up -- I see no reason to use MediaHub at all.

Ads = profit for companies and payment for actors = incentive for them to make more stuff.
I'll pay for media, though I am not against downloading somethings. But non the less cheap bastards DO ruin industries. "Oh its just me and my $10 bucks, they won't miss it" Eventually with enough people it adds up and they will miss it. Not to mention I personally know people who have had homes raided by FBI over stuff like that.

Ill have you know sir, that downloading TV shows online, through whatever medium, is not considered illegal filesharing. A judge ruled that sharing TV shows over the internet is the same as giving someone a VHS tape back in the day. It is not illegal and can be distributed anyway the people who record it please. Be it hard mediums or digital. Now, if one were to say download a DVD copy, THAT would be copyright infringement, but we are talking about downloading 0 day shows from EZTV - which is perfectly well within your right to do.

Can you provide us with the source for the ruling? I have followed this issue for a long time but never heard of such ruling.
How about uploading TV shows, which is what torrent does? Isn't it illegal to upload files, if you don't have copyrights?

i have subscribed to the zune service paying each month for the service...i thought this would give me the eqivilant to spotify that i had on my android device However, when i click on albums to either stream or download (from the handset) it asks me if i want to buy...i thought i was paying a subscription for free unlimited streaming or download same as spotify.
can anyone advise me please
also is it possible to get spotify on my phone
thanks
I think you have to tap and hold on the album/song to get a download option, here's a video: http://www.wpcentral.com/how-get-zune-pass-work-on-the-go-windows-phone-7.
As for Spotify, that was announced as coming with Mango but not sure which countries.
When I hold the only option I get is to buy the item. Seems odd considering I am paying for it.

When you setup your phone, the login must be the same one used for Zune. Not the second or third...the first.
If you have done it any other way you must hard reset and start over.
If the phone login is the same as your Zune login and it does not work, call Zune support to help you.

Annoying? This is the way it has been since day one. Its mentioned in the startup guide. Efjay pointed you to the video. All the MS documents online point to this. All the Zune docs point to this. For problems of this nature, how to's, keep WindowsPhone.com in mind. Phone setup, configurations snd how to documentation is great. XDA is great for the more difficult problems.
Sorry for raising a thread on what was clearly quite 'simple' issue to some...it was annoying the gell out of me! I pay as a 'premium' user on here and wanted to make use of all the great knowledge on here rather than trawl the internet or spend hours on the phone. I will however come up with a more challenging problem fir you next time=P
Thanks anyway

Don't be like that. Annoying and Challenging are 2 different things. XDA is a great source of issues, resolutions, work arounds, and challenging problems. On XDA you will find great ideas, fun experiences, and, a sound kick in the butt if you don't do your research before posting a problem. If you search and do NOT find what you're looking for, there are dozens of people ready to help. But....if you do not do the search before posting....there are dozens of people ready to remind you of that before they help.
Thats just the way it is...and it makes no difference if you're a premium user, or just a bum like me. The same rule applies for us all.
How MS, or any other company, designs their solutions, is always open to debate. Annoying and irritating simply cloud the issue. Android and Apple require a login on their phone for their services. If you do not use the same or correct login, you will not get your apps restored, or access to many of the histories saved with those services....to include backup and restore, and Music. Thats just the way it is. XDA premium users have little influence on those design methods.
Sorry if I offended you with my reply. That was not my intent. Reminding you that a little research would have allowed you to find the answer, and see that the resolution was not clouded, hidden, or designed to cost you a premium subscription to XDA, was my only point. If you're annoyed at the way things are...I'm afraid there is not a reasonable resolution available on these forums.
BTW..how does one become a premium subscriber to XDA?
your response seemed a little 'sharp' and in my opinion was not really necessary...i received good advice on here, it solved my problem, and i thanked those concerned.
By 'premium' i mean i pay for the app to support the cause and not just use the free downloaded one
Anyways moving on....
Point made.

That's because, if your signature is to be believed, you're running a US rom on your Xoom, and that has a different UAString to the stock UK image.
I've been trying to find someone on the boards who has the stock UK image who'll share the UAString - but either everyone is already on the US image, or they're not willing to share.

Visit somewhere like whatsmyuseragent.com on your Xoom, and post back with the entire User Agent String it tells you.
(Note, because this panicked someone else I asked earlier, we do not want or need your IP address, which the site also tells you!)
Running stock except for root.
my User agent string is:

Yep - got the same string off a friend, and can confirm that works on the promotions site.
Use something like the firefox extension "User Agent Switcher" to let your desktop pretend to be your Xoom, and away you go.
