My HD2 had unlocked, and I tried to install an app to it on Zune, last night.
After Zune showed a Install Completed view,Everything looked normal ,But the app ani't show up in the menu lists in my HD2 Wp7 OS.
It just disappeard, and it made me couldn't remove it or install it again.Zune still Said it was already received.
I already got an error said "can't get this info right now, check back in awhile" when I tried to download some apps from the "Marketplace" or "XBOX LIVE" in My Hd2 WP7.
PS:Sorry about my poor english~~~~

Perhaps the SD card is not compatible or having a problem? In your About Phone does your available storage seem correct for the installed SD card?

Hi there,
On my old HTC Diamond I installed everything to phone memory and so when I flashed it I just reinstalled all my apps. However, this time I have installed a large amount of them to the storage card. I don't remember my Diamond's storage card being flashed - so thats not the issue (I will probably remove the card before doing it anyway) - but my question is will my phone still see the installed apps on the memory card and put them in the start menu etc? Or will I be better off just uninstalling everything and re-doing it from scratch?
Also, is the new HTC Rom available in the UK yet?
bump?
surely someone can tell me

Check your HTC site in the UK to answer your own question.
Perhaps you should read more about how a flash works before you try with your HD2. Think of it this way: You have two hard disks in your computer, C and D. With Windows XP on C you installed all your programs on D. Then you decided to install Windows 7 on drive C, which copied over your XP. Do you think that Windows 7 will run the programs in D? The answer is obviously no.
The situation is similar when you flash a new ROM. With a file manager you could see the programs on your storage card, but that is all. You would have to reinstall all the programs for them to work.
Take care and understand everything you really need to know before you do decide to flash.

That's why I was asking
Thanks for the info.
I had to hardreset my phone which was running TyphooN CyanogenMod 7. Well after I did the usual set up and link account with gmail and all that initial set up stuff, I went back to the market to download my apps. The apps show up there and when I chose to download them they do. It says it downloaded and install but when I go to my menu, the installed program is not there. This is only happening with the apps that I have install before. New or different apps will show but previously download apps wont.
How do i fix this?
They might have been previously installed onto your sd card so you can't see them in your menu but they register as installed. Check to see where they're installed using a file manager if they are on your sd just moved them to your phone and it'll show as it would normally.

I there a way to speed up the booting up of the Android SD 2.3.2? Maybe by using a different radio or something?

You could get the latest rom here: http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=1043&news_id=782 or for T-Mobile here: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/ and select the HTC HD2. Also you can dual boot your device by download and installing the application in the following thread to your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792. Hope this helps.
Should you ever update software of you windows mobile 7 from zune? Just Curious.
Help Here with previous question.
Also, after activating my windows phone 7 my android disappeared from my SD card.
Also does switching OS from wp7 to android (using dual boot from SD here) after reboot clear the wp7 setting?
probably you got the partitions messed up, recheck the partitioning of your SD card.
don't have WP7 myself so can't help you more than that, sorry.

If you put WP7 on your HD2, then your SD card will be formatted so that's why android disappeared from your SD card. Also settings will not be cleared as long as all files are in there correct directory.

I used the dual booting method everything went well except that when I partitioned the SD card for windows and android the wp7 'about' menu still said it had the total (all) space for itself. Ignoring that I was still able to load the android and install some apps on it. Could activating the wp7 with an activation code be the culprit?

You could try that. Also, you could try a new SD card if anything goes wrong because if it still says it has all the space for itself, then it may overwrite the android files without even asking and corrupting them.
So I went through the process of making my hd2 dual boot wp7 and android cm7 again they both worked at first flawlessly, but it seems that maybe syncing my phone with zune was the problem(not entirely sure). Also I still don't get why my wp7 displays that it has the same amount of space with my total SD card (8GB) space after syncing and before it has only about 15MB total and 10MB used

I remember seeing this about some wp7 builds for the HD2. Its a bug causing it to misread your sd card's space at times. If you want to fix it, I could only recommend a new build until a "fix" may come out for it. Anyways, congrats on your installation.
It seems that any Nand Android ROM that I flash will not allow me to dl from the market. The market is accessible as I can search for an app but I alwyas get Downloas was unsuccesful. Any ideas because I have no problem when flashing WP7. Am I stuck with 7 for now?
Have you tried to unmount the sd card then download an app?

That did something. Does that do something to the Card? When I first flashed, Google Backup dl a lot of apps. They all seem to be gone but are back in the markert. I am very thankful.
No it doesn't really do anything to the card. The card just interferes somehow with the market. But strangely, that problem should be gone in these builds. Are you using an old build? (say a build form january) Or an up to date build?
You mean the google backup downloaded back all your apps and installed them, but now when you go to my apps, they are not there?
Or do you mean when you search for an app, it doesn't show up?
If it is the first, i'm not sure.
If it is the latter, you can try market enabler and set it to t-mo/verizon, but doubt that'd help since I see that you live in america already.

Some of the apps cannot be installed on sd card. Like Google maps.
Try to install it to internal memory and see if solves the problem.

Might be the market is giving problem. Re install the ROM itself see if it's works.
New market does not work well at all
