Loving my Omnia 7. My pictures on my live account were syncing until this week.
My pictures no longer appear on the picture hub. The only pictures I have are the ones on the camera roll, saved picture and sample picture.
I have tried syncing again. I have tried restarting among many other things. No luck.
My pictures on my live account DO NOT APPEAR on my phone.
If there is a know solution to this please assist.
I also had this problem. I hear that it is a bug that MS may fix with their next update. However the only solution I have come up with at this moment is a hard reset.

No, you don't have to pay for them. They're associated with your live id.
After a hardreset you can go to the markepace and if you download an app you payed before, it will prompt you about it and you can download for free. Maybe write down the names of apps so you know what to download again.

It was suggested that we start a thread specifically for the apps that run well on the Android port to the HTC Touch/Vogue. I personally own an (Sprint=CDMA) HTC Touch Diamond, but upon seeing the maturity level of Android running on the Touch, I immediately went to eBay and picked up the Touch handset...and I am glad I did. The only reason I boot back to winmo is for work calendar (Lotus), Skype (iSkoot kinda sucks), and Podcasts (hopefully we getting DoggCatcher soon).I've found that battery life with Togga on to be about 8-10 hours which I can live with it, but it's a pain to keep toggling if you really need to conserve (but it could be worse )I plan on posting more battery data soon, but need a few more days of collection. Hopefully we can find a more permanent way of managing the data connection with balance for battery life.

-Scoreboard - I'm not that big of a sports fan, but this app is slick!
-aLastFM - Just got permission to post the link from the developer. Thanks Oleg!!
-Stocker - Simple but effective stock app, but no graphs. If someone could find a better one...
-Weather - Simple, but effective. Multiple Cities, current and forecast, with menu link to detailed outlook including radar from Undergroud Weather.
-AnyCut -Great for making shortcuts to just about any screen in the OS, especially useful for Battery and Sounds&Display
-TextEasy - for sending a text to multiple contacts, until someone can get a hold of ChomperSMS or K9SMS (K9Mail I have not gotten to work either, we need a better mail app, the native client doesn't even recognize URLS, wtf?!)
-OIFileManager - It's the only one I've tried, so can't comment on the others, but there are several out there. UPDATE: I tried out Astro and Glance. I liked Astro, but after a day it stopped working for me and gives me a force quit. I prefer Glance over OI FileManager, it's on 4shared I believe.
-OIFlashlight - amazing how handy this comes in
-OINewsReader - No frills RSS aggregator
-ShopSavvy - Did you say "We'll match any price"?...but be fast with your fingers, camera is not fine enough to capture the barcode

The Meebo app is well worth a look - look for it on 4shared.com. Lets you IM on just about any IM network (Yahoo, MSN, AIM etc). IMs appear in the notification bar while you are in any other program. Great stuff.
I believe im the only person hosting the meebo.apk at the moment.

i installed and signed into my MSN account, however, just a white screen shows up. No list of contacts, etc. No menu options other than to add another account or sign off. Not exactly useful (at least this version). Is anyone using this successfully?
EDIT: I received a chat, and that gave me a buddy online, maybe no one on my list was signed on at the time I first checked.
Also, it doesnt remember your username and password, which is annoying because it randomly closed on me after tapping the notification in the bar during a chat session today. I'll keep looking for a better app or updated version.

What about an updated version of Shopsavvy. Mine keeps saying there is a new version, but of course we can't update off the marketplace.
I'm looking for the Locale application. Even though we don't have GPS running, Locale still alows profile switching based on time and days of the week, which would be useful for office vs. non-office settings. If someone could post this I would appreciate it!

If they are in the AndroidApps folder then they should be installed already. I found that sometimes icons don't show up to launch the program, however. This is where AnyCut comes in handy. Use AnyCut to search in "Activities" to find your app. If you are not seeing it in this list then you may have to "manually" install the app. Open a file browser such as OI File Manager or Glance and navigate to your AndroidApps folder. Click on the .apk file and it should launch teh app installer.

There's been a couple apps I liked that didn't fit our screen plus having to reinstall android files often I lose all my saved info so it doesn't work out for me. Sprint needs to hurry up with an HTC Android phone.
Maybe a stupid question, not sure... Why can't someone extract the android market application from the G1 to be used on other phones? Seems a bit odd of Google to limit the market to only a specific phone.
There is a discussion about the marketplace on the big long forum. The marketplace is not open source. They're talking about the commands and encryption and such for it. I'd think it's not open because they plan on having pay for apps but I could be wrong

Still missing a few features.. like the ability to call contacts that are only in your GC account, but still very good.

I noticed this also. i resolved by changing my time zone in settings. Only problem is that this then modifies your "synced" time with your carrier, it adjusts + or - according to your time zone, so you have to comensate...each time you boot. Not by any means an elegant solution, but if you need realtime scores this is the answer. Probably better off sticking with NHL.com

I tried the "Ebay.apk" from 4Shared, but it doesn't display properly. The tabs extend all the way to the bottom of the other screen which is a common problem for us vogue port users.

I'm trying to see if "My Downloads" in the Market get reset when cache is cleared. I will try and do this by downloading some large apps.
Can anybody list some of the largest apps? It's pretty hopeless looking at them one by one!

I don't think it will be resetted. One week ago I resettd my G1 to factory settings. When I enteres my Gmail adress to register the phone again, evrything went back. It is saved "in the cloud", it seems.
"My downloads" is a pain in the ... with all the apps you ever installed, even if you uninstalled them afterwards. And: there is no difference between installed apps that can be updated and uninstalled apps. I get crazy with 5 sorts of torch apps, I had installed. I decided to keep only one and when I browse the market to see, which updates are available, I don't remember, which one is still installed an which are uninstalled. Both say "free", when the is an update for the installed one.
It would be nice to be able to sort the apps not only after their name but after their status "installed", "updated" and "uninstalled".
That is my interpretation of the problem too. I have factory reset and it has not removed them. Beyond this some people *still* think they making the cache get so low it resets itself will do it though... I cannot see *how* if it is stored server side (Sufficiently that a "Factory" reset does not remove it [Hell, I should hope after a "Factory" reset there is NO personal info on the device... Certainly wasn't when I got mine new!)... None the less if people think it may work I've nothing to loose.
Shame is I've got all the apps above and (In any other situation good news) other apps are so small it'll take forever to install a sufficient number.
It seems in doing this I've probably made the matter worse as now my "My Downloads" list is huge :/
Any ideas how to clear the list OR very large apps appreciated.

don't think so. All the information is tied to your google-account.
I guess if you register your account on another new device, you would have all the information on the new device. That'S the philosophy of android... have everything in the cloud... contacts, mails, calendar, app list.
On one hand it's good if you loose the device or have to factory reset. I still remember the time I was on Nokia and I had to restore my data after every change of phone or even Software update. On the other hand it's kind of critical in sense of misuse of personal data and ... the my downloads problem.

Please no not merge. I am the OP of both - The other is mainly about market issues. This is simply about large file size apps so that I can mess around and see if they do help with the issue in the other thread.
Both serve a different purpose even if there is overlap.
Meanwhile, I know for sure that the device doesn't carry the "My Downloads" over to another device - I had two faulty G1s before (1x screen issue and 1x charging issue). Both times I installed things and each device was not aware of what the other had. All, though, were aware of what they had installed on that device, even through a factory reset. I think maybe it is in the cloud but against some kind of device_id+gmail_account key? Not sure...
I've found scattered reports from various users in the forum, but I have not seen another instance of my exact problem:
Using any (the problem happens regardless of the client, be it the integrated facebook app, the integration of photo albums into the contacts portion of Manila, or the HTC Album view) means of viewing facebook photo albums/pictures on my HD2, for many of my friends, when I attempt to view their photo albums, I get (depending on the client) either a hang at "Fetching..." (using the app) or a message that the user has no albums (although I know that the user does have albums, and that I do have access to them).
What seems most bizarre about the problem is that it is in no way consistent. For example, after a hard reset, I may be able to use the app to view all of friend X's albums. However, a few hours later, I can no longer view the albums (get stuck at "Fetching..."). Other times, after a hard reset, I cannot view that same friend's albums at all, ever. Sometimes I cannot even view my own albums, but other, seemingly random, albums belonging to friends are able to be viewed.
I am running the factory US Tmobile ROM, with absolutely no mods, edits, etc. (aside from installing TC to verify that a registry entry, a proposed fix from a different thread, was correct. It was.)
I have also tried downloading and installing the facebook app directly from Microsoft. I have the same exactly the same problems.
I would really appreciate any help that I can get on this one. I absolutely love the idea of the level of facebook integration that the HD2 ostensibly offers, but this is infuriating.
Does anyone have all of the aspects of facebook photos working, perhaps on another ROM (though I'd love to know how to get it working on my own)? Thanks

I wasn't aware of this app until it was pre-installed on a custom flash game in place of the default gallery.
I don't know how long they'll be around for, for such a massive photo storage cloud but the app has support for various other clouds and samba support as well. I initially wasn't that interested since I use Foldersync but I would like to try it out as my gallery for now, and that said it seemed I may as well get the bazillion Gig storage option. Doing it here keeps me from spamming my friends.
From the looks of it, you only need to get one referral, so if someone takes mine, please say so and repost a code assuming one is available, if not then I suppose its simply a good place for people to post who want space; referees get it as well therefore I'm unclear how it works in this regard.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't read the store comments because indeed it is how I found it. The interface and functionality are still good. Hopefully I can neuter any services and permissions I don't like after moving it out of /system (and it irritates me that ROM cookers put things there at all).
It's been quite some time since I had a gallery app with a folder view that was complete and was also able to delete photos when I told it to. Hopefully I can either find something else or get this one to do all of the above after removing it from /system and installing normally.
I only briefly, just now, by the way, and I didn't find all the file sharing support it advertises, including Samba but assuming the cloud space is in fact upgradable, another layer of redundancy would be desirable.
We shall see how things turn out...

So. i havent installed any new apps. And all of a sudden ads, fullscreen ads are appearing when i want to go into the menu to do whatever.
I will not, factory reset, i will not reinstall all my apps AGAIN. I just want to know what is happening and why.
And i've disabled all the ads crap from google.
Just noticed that the ads have the form of "icon" that sais ads by google, and by pressing it, takes me to google ads stuff which i've already disbled.
So see pictures and give me a shout if you know whats up.

Did you recently update any App? Could you please take a look at the Device Administrators because this looks like a virus to me. Did you allow the installation from unknown Sources?
