I using the vplayer for streaming Dreambox but the player dosen't work
(no error message)
i found in othe Forum vplayer need Neon instructions set !
Is neon in dexter mod included ? with Original stock rom is the same problem
any idea?
The NEON instruction set is a set of CPU instructions, much like MMX or SSE on your desktop PC.
AFAIK The Tegra CPU is NOT supporting these, therefore binaries compiled for ARM-NEON architecture will not run on any Tegra 2 device.

If tried searching this forum and the internet but couldn't find any real info on this. Is the lastest version of TCPMP fully WM5 compatible? Because I haven't installed any third party programs on my Qtek and I don't want to mess it up by installing a not WM5 compatible program. I know alot of you guys use it, though.
works fine mate... go ahead theres nothing to worry about.
Because there isn't a seperate installer for WM 2005 or 2003... Which file do I need btw, because there seems to be several .exe's.
http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53&release_id=224#r224
From the site you linked to I had installed "tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.66.zip"
I haven't updated to 0.70 or 0.71, but I mostly just use it for .mp3 and .wma files, so I haven't run into any issues with 0.66.
Code:
Which file to use?
First determine which type of processor do you have: ARM, MIPS, SH3
If you don't know, it's most likely ARM.
TCPMP.ARM_CE3.CAB
WinCE 3.xx - 4.xx
Basically all modern PocketPC, PocketPC Phone Edition and HPC
(example for PPC2000,PPC2002,WM2003,WM2003SE)
(Intel XScale is an ARM cpu)
TCPMP.ARM_SP.CAB
All MS Smartphones (for SP2002,WM2003 SP,WM2003SE SP)
TCPMP.ARM720_CE3.CAB
Same as ARM_CE3, just with different ARM CPU identifier for Sigmarion III
(this is NOT for Pocket Loox 720, please use TCPMP.ARM_CE3.CAB for that device)
TCPMP.ARM_CE2.CAB
WinCE 2.xx (for older HPC's and PalmPC devices)
TCPMP.MIPS_CE3.CAB
WinCE 3.xx - 4.xx with MIPS CPU
TCPMP.MIPS_CE2.CAB
WinCE 2.xx with MIPS CPU
TCPMP.SH3_CE3.CAB
WinCE 3.xx - 4.xx with SH3 CPU
TCPMP.SH3_CE2.CAB
WinCE 2.xx with SH3 CPU
That's the readme from tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip
WM5 isn't listed.
Sorry! I used this one... TCPMP.ARM_CE3.CAB
Can anyone confirm which version I need?
Download it from this link:
http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53&release_id=224#r224
The correct files are highlighted by "PINK" color. Personally I use the tcpmp.setup.0.71.exe file. You can also use the CAB file if you know how to use and install it. Have fun.
here is a more direct link .. http://corecodec.org/frs/download.php/366/tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip

That's the file I used. But it contains several cabs. Like I posted before.
I used the exe... Lets what that does.
You should use the CE3 cab (or the .exe, of course)...It's pretty clear in the readme posted above:
TCPMP.ARM_CE3.CAB
WinCE 3.xx - 4.xx
Basically all modern PocketPC, PocketPC Phone Edition and HPC
(example for PPC2000,PPC2002,WM2003,WM2003SE)
(Intel XScale is an ARM cpu)
No, it doesn't specifically mention WM5 but trust me, it works perfectly. (And a lot better than WMP10, I might add)

Hi Gusys
The operating manual indicates that media player is able to play quite a number of video file formats, including AVI and WMV. However, my just simply dont and come out an error message that it does not recognise the file / format, especially when I tried with AVI. I tried with Mp4 instead and it works.
Anyone know why? Do I need to install any sort of encoder or driver? Or do I need to install other better player?
My choice is CorePlayer v1.1.1. build 1600.
Just need to enable under tools menu many video formats, then most of videos will be playing...
Hi Sas sas
Thank for the advice.
Does the version you recommended the latest one?
I done a search online, seem that latest version is coreplayer ppc v1 2 3 build 4012 cab.full.
Hope they are the same thing we discussed here.
Look forward to your advice.

I've updated to Froyo 2.2 on VF UK and notice I've got HTC Flash lite 10 running. BBC Sport, iPlayer etc don't work as its 'unsupported content' when I try to play flash videos. Flash 10.1 isn't available i market or appbrain....
Is this because Adobe don't support HTC Legend or am I doing something wrong ?
Flash Player is only avaliable for Amrv8 processor and Leged has Amrv7.
This means that Legend NEVER will get flash.
Only HTC Flash works.

Got a source for this? Flash can be compiled for whatever CPU is needed. MSSM7227 includes a FPU which is a requirement. The differences between ARMv7 and ARMv8 are purely differences in the instruction set, which is set as a compiler target option.

I want to correct my previus post.
Legend has Armv6 Processor and Flash is avaliable for Armv7 processor.

http://androidandme.com/2010/02/news/no-flash-10-1-for-1st-gen-android-phones/
nope.
adobe just needs to make some small changes in the source code and recompile flash.
and the phone browser says that flash is available, maybe its a bug or something like.
The CPU is too weak. You don't want to run flash on it trust me..

I can believe that - it struggles enough on my PC, let alone my phone
Flash video is working on more sites, the one I'd like is BBC and its the one that doesn't. The phone can do full screen flash video without a problem on e.g SkySports etc....
in browser videos play very slow and choppy for me even with official 2.2
Hello
i have a problem with the Adobe Flash player 10.1 for my HTC Hero.
When I install it I get an error. And some of them i can install but they dont work. It's also not listed in the Market.
I have the 2.3.2 version of Android - Gingerbread
In Youtube there are some videos where it works with a Hero
any solutions?
Flash player reqiures ARMv7 processor. Hero has ARMv6, you can't install it.
Hello,
I used RCMix3d v2.5 (2.3.4 Gingerbread) rom. This rom it's very smooth fast and stable but the video codecs are not updated and several of my videos are misread.
I would like to know the location of the codec in a rom to update my rom RCMix3d ?
Nobody knows how?
the codecs should be stored in /system/lib/ .
but there are also some video players with integrated codecs like dice player (.mkv in hardware decoding for example).
Sent out of my Free Candy Van.
thank you very much ;-)
I have not tried to update the video codec of a rom, but right now I use the CoreDroid v8 also based on a version 1.45.401.2 and the same problem on RCMix3D 2.5/2.6 (2.7 not tested)
